  1. Quick question guys... I have the clutch lockup with the cover on my bike and the stupid brake pedal hits it all the time.. not enough room for the brake pedal and the cover... Does anyone know where I can get an aftermarket brake pedal to clear the cover ? Thanks!
  2. I have rebuilt my Banshee 2 times already. I been blowing the bike on top end, wide open 6th gear. Both times it has happened, it has leaned out on top end. I have stock carbs and I'm thinking they are not giving the engine enough gas on top end. Last time it blew I had 370's jets in her and it still blew. So I want to get new carbs (bigger) and I want to know what size, what brand, and where to find the cheapest price?
  3. Okay everytime I have blown it ... the plugs come out and look fine.. they don't seem to be lean conditions .. The first time It was blown it had 340 jets in her.. but the conditions were cold and the 2nd time I had 370 and it wasn't cold.. What I have noticed that it has done it twice already.. the first time it blew and now.. Is that before she blows a day before or run before.. While in 6th gear full throttle she'll turn off... the engine will just cut off.. and then she'll start again.. but once this happens again for the 2nd time.. It just blows... Another question guys.. I'm an 080 over.. I want to go 100 ... is that safe or should I resleeve it ? I do have a Tommy Rad and a high flow water impeller...
  4. Alright... I'm running the stock carbs with 2 K&N filters on them and the tors removed, I'm ported, I'm running the stock head milled to 155/160 psi, my timing is at 4 degree, I'm running on 93 pump gas mix 32:1... Like I said I think it's the carbs since the floats are fuked up, but would floats cause the bike to blow on 6th gear wide open ? Oh and yes of course after the first blow from 060 I went up to 080 bored and honed.. fresh top end rebuilt.. and it still blew !!!!!!! ahhhh !!!!!! I appreciate the help guys !
  5. I'm also running 4 degree advance timing and I'm running on 93 pump gas... Here's the pic of piston blown now.. as you can see the rings are forged onto the piston.. And here's the pic of the blown piston 3 months ago... this one you can tell It ran lean as shit !!!!
  6. Hey Guys ! What's up... Well this is the second time I have blown my Banshee in 3 months... I'm extremely pissed and don't know what to do. Here are my mods' Porting, Stock head shaved 155 psi., v-force reeds, CPI pipes, stock carbs with airbox removed 370 jets. It looks like it lean out again ??????? First it was the right side that blew a couple months ago and now it's the left side...???? The rings forged against the piston again. I'm thinking it's the carbs that are messed up.. I know the floats for sure.. cause my bike always leaks out the overflow tubes on the carbs.. So my question is will floats cause a bike to blow on top end if not working correctly ??? It always blows in 6th gear full throttle... So people say it's the carbs and some say it's the computer.. but I don't get what the computer has to do with this since it's carb operated and EFI ... Another question how much are stock brand new carbs ???? Or should I just rebuilt my stock carbs ??? Or get bigger carbs.. since maybe these can't provide the full needed ???? Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh !!! don't know what to do .. please help.
  7. Hey guys... Had a slight problem back in Dec. I blew the Banshee in 6th gear WOT.. I had her leaned out and the temps drop really low .. I was riding from day time to night time and coming back home I opened her up and in 6th gone ... Before I took her apart I did a compression test .. had 150 psi on my left cylinder and on my right I had 0 psi ... well to make a long story short... when I took her apart.. I messed up the head I melted some of the right side piston on to the head and the rings had melted onto the piston... So my question is I rebuilt her yesterday for the first time ever that I have done it myself.. pretty easy .. I'm really happy and she started.. hehehe... .. When I blew her I had 7 degree advance timing and 150 psi.. 340 jets on pump gas... and now I have 165 psi and 4 degree timing... 390 jets <--- (cause i'm still breaking her in ) On pump gas ... I would like to know if I can go up to 5 degree timing.. but i'm afraid cause of the compression ... should I just keep it at 4 or is it safe to go up to 5 ? I will post pics later of the head and of the piston when it blew...
  8. Yeah it almost seems like they are welded on there .... ( I know they are not but it sure as hell seems that way ) Thanks your the best, I will try that today !
  9. Hey Guys.... Quick question just order a new rear disc brake but can't get the old one off ? I tried a 6mm and it didn't come off, I'm about to strip the head on the bolt; and a 7 mm is too big .. need help fast ! Is the size metric, if so what size ? Thanks ! I post pics later, I got a really tricked out rear skid plate for the rear and want you guys to tell me what you think ... here are the pics !! Tell me what you guys think ???
  10. Hey Guys... I took off my whole airbox today and wanted to see the difference between having the airbox and without... Let me tell you big difference!!!! So my two questions are anyone that took their airbox off, how my jet sizes up did you guys have to go up ? I currently running 320's main jets (it's ported).. Either way I'm going to do a plug run to make sure. I just want to have an idea, I know every shee is different. My 2nd question is does anyone know where I can buy online, cheap K&N clamp on's ?
  11. Change in plans, someone make me a reasonable offer and it's yours, need to sell.
  12. Not really, got everything I pretty much need, just need someone to buy it. Thanks any ways.

  14. Alright guys thanks for the info!... I will see what I do about the gas and which one I'm finally going to run. Thanks for the website I'm going to order my clutch cover mod. Now which one to get the clear looks bad as* but, I heard of them cracking on people from getting on their shees with their boots; so I might just get the billet aluminum. As for my comp 200+, I have a TDR head on there and I spoke to the people down at TDR. They told me that my compression is a bit high and to bring in the head to try to bring the comp down to 180, so I'm going to do that when I get a chance. He also told me that if I was to bring it down to 150 psi to run pump gas, that I would lose 10-15hp .. wow !! So I guess I'm only going to bring it down to 180 and still run VP or AV gas.. or if I can get a hold of that 110 race gas, so let's see, but thanks for the help guys !
  15. Yeap, that's right 9 bucks a gallon, welcome to Florida or should I say Miami. Why 200 + psi... why not ??? hehehe... Naw it's mainly a drag setup what I have, it has 68mm pistons, comp 200+, and not to forget it's also stroked. Which brings me to my next question. I recently got the clutch lock up on it and the clutch cover had to be modify so the clutch lock up would fit inside. The thing is they didn't do a good job and it leaks, so I'm looking for a clutch side cover that will allow it to fit ? Does anyone know where I can get one from a trusted site or company ? And I want to get a new one, since my original side cover was modify. Back to Av gas topic... so from the looks of it, I guess I'll be running Av gas soon !
