  1. You just have to live in the same town as someone with WAY too many banshee parts laying around. I didn't even realize I had an entire rolling chassis sitting in a pile behind my compressor. He came over and was like "can I have that?" and I was just happy to have it all out of the way in my shop. Now poof there is a 4mil small-block twister sitting in my shop. lol
  2. He has a secret squirrel helper working on his bike all hours of the night. It WILL be alive for our easter weekend ride.
  3. POST PICS or GTFO
  4. I've dealt with both WCR and REDLINE and I prefer the work and customer service I got from redline.
  5. Whats bad is if you ever get a methanol fire in daylight. It burns a nice light blue color and its almost impossible to see in direct light. You just feel this insane hot burning sensation and have to try and figure out where its coming from. LOL!
  6. Naw its just rumors.
  7. If you do split the cases take the time to clean them really well. Dirty contaminated cases are the biggest leader to leaks. - Jared
  8. If you do run the spacers, put them between the reed and the carb. If you run them between the reed and the cylinder you will be changing your case volume, which could potentially screw with stuff. - Jared
  9. Sounds like another total fuckball engine setup from trinity. What stroke is your setup? A cool head or noss head with o-rings is the way to go. Not sure what kinda setup trinity sold you using copper. That's some whack shit. On a normal setup squish can be anywhere from .040 to .055 I've seen builders go as tight as .035 and as loose as .060 It all depends on what its set up for and what kinda porting you have. I would send your cylinders off to a competant builder (NOT TRINITY!) and have them check everything out and get you set up right with a set of custom cut domes and a good cool head or noss head. Give Kevin @ HJR a call. He can get you custom cut domes and get you fixed up right. His information is in my signature. - Jared
  10. There is a link to it in my signature. Hope that helps. - Jared
  11. The bottom end assembly walkthrough is just a helpful guide, its not step by step instructions. Make sure you get the manul. If you've done top ends before then the bottom end will be simple for you. There isn't really anything complicated in there. Just take your time and buy a couple cans of carb cleaner and clean the shit out of everything while you're in there. - Jared
  12. I've jacked up a fair amount of cylinders porting stuff myself, and also made a few that ran pretty good. Take your time and do plenty of homework before you ever start.
  13. ...or you could send your cylinders off to Kevin @ HJR and get the job done right the first time and not have to jack with buying all the right tools and teaching yourself what to do and what not to do. Let someone who has already done the homework and has the experience do the work. It will be a boat-load cheaper in the long run unless you plan on becoming a builder and selling your port work. - Jared
  14. You can go broke trying to save money in this sport. Whip out the ole credit card and get busy! - Jared
  15. DO NOT TAKE IT TO A DEALER. They will do nothing but drain your wallet and give you sub-par returns. Call up millenium technologies. When I replated my cheetah it was less then $300.
  16. If you are doing a full tear down before you get on it and ride, why are you concerned at this point? You are going to be splitting the cases and checking everything out anyway, so if something is wrong you will find it then...
  17. I run upp on some of my junk...
  18. Do you even own a banshee? lol
  19. I'll take the junk one with the rod stuck in it if you want to sell it cheap... Shoot me a PM. - Jared
  20. You are running 10mil setup on cases that are trenched for an 18mil? That's a pretty significant case volume difference. Bump for a good deal! - Jared
  21. You probably won't find a kit, because the conversion is usually pretty specific to your needs. I can convert them for you at the cost of materials if you're insterested. Here's the basics: You need billet bowls drilled out dump tube different needles drilled out mains bigger pilots bigger needle valve and seat pingle vavle modded or aftermarket gas cap of some sort. power jets Shoot me a PM if you're interested and I can help you out more if ya need. - Jared
  22. I'm interested but I need to see some bigger / better pics and need to see some kinda history on your sales deals... ebay, other forums, anything? do the carbs have any issues, anything missing? What mains/pilots/dump tubes/needles/needle valves do they have in them?
  23. LOL that's because everything else in that pic is sitting in my shop. haha! No worries here guys, great seller. I've done tons of deals with james and everything is in perfect shape and shipped good. I would not hesitate to do business with him. - Jared
  24. Naw, its just that the online bantering gets old. I'll just wait and meet up with them and go for a ride and see what happens. If I get beat then i get beat. Its not the end of the world. Its the age-old 4-stroke vs 2-stroke stuff... You're on BANSHEEHQ you have to expect that there will be some smack-talking on the poor little 4-stroke guys. I just don't have the time to sit and go back and forth with guys who will always have an excuse for everything. Its not my bike, he ported his own head, etc. I'm guilty of the same thing, so don't take it so personal. I'll just leave it at that. I'll hold my tounge and hopefully this summer I can make it up there and we can do some racing and have some fun. - Jared
