  1. You and wacko2000 must be related in another life... LOL! I don't know what to tell you guys... with what you have listed you should not have any trouble shifting even with the power you are making, unless you are abusing the thing. haha! Firehead dyno'd my old 612 twister at 152hp and I ran one of my transmissions in it and dune/drag raced that thing all summer long and it shifted great. If you want to be able to shift the thing without the clutch, you are going to need an override. Plain and simple. If you want that ability, then you will have to ride it like an override and take care of it. I would try and side-cut your gears and see if it helps ya at all, but if you are going to the trouble of splitting the cases, you might as well just throw an override in it if you want to shift it without the clutch. I posted a couple videos of my 485 cheetah racing my 10mil cub out at KP, you can watch that video and see that both shift fine... http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=155292 - Jared
  2. I didn't use loctite, I use teflon. And it only did this on my 10mil cover. I did the teflon mod to my 485 when I put it all together. I have not had any problems with either bike since I did the teflon. It just takes a little tiny dab, no need to go crazy with it, and give it time to set up before you put oil back in it. - Jared
  3. If it doesn't have the twister logo laser etched on the crank, its NOT a twister crank. I wouldn't risk running it with the threads stretched. Just get it rebuilt with a new PTO side web. I would go ahead and have crankworks rebuild it for you. Here is a twister crank for your reference. If you don't want to mess with it, I would go back to the ebay seller and make them take it back. If they advertised it as a twister and its not, and the pto threads are jacked up, you need to ask yourself if you even want to mess with it.
  4. Trust me, you don't need to worry about running a stock modded trans in a high hp bike. I run my transmissions in my 485 cheetah, 465 cub, a 612 twister, a 466 twister, and a couple stock cylinder 4mils, jrmarquez.702 is running one of my transmissions in his 400 cheetah and says it does good... You won't have any issues, and you can build it yourself.... side-cut the gears. (remove every other dog) (a local machine shop with a roatary table and an end-mill can do this for ya relatively cheap) get a modded shift star do the shift-pro kit, but re-use the stock heavy spring and chuck the softer shift-pro spring in the trash or sell it to someone on here if they want it. do the shift-shaft mod (dremel out the shift-shaft so it can travel a little bit farther before hitting the alignment dowel. get your shift drum machined for the second bearing on the end of the drum. If you do these mods you won't have any trouble shifting. I have that same trans in my 10mil cub making 109hp and it shifts fine. backload it all you want, downshift, upshift, etc. Same transmission is in my 485 cheetah. - Jared
  5. The primary reason for the piston windows is case-volume filling and to get lubrication to the wrist-pin. You will see maybe 1-2hp by port-matching the pistons, but not much. Not worth the added chance of a skirt cracking and breaking off into your crank. Hell, the pistons I run don't even have the port windows....
  6. Do the 4mil! Its only a couple hundred for a crank and you will kick yourself in the ass if you don't do it. Kevin is an awesome guy to deal with! He does great work. You won't be disappointed. Go with wiseco pro-lite pistons, hotrods crank ( a little more expensive, but DONT skimp on the crank, its the heart of your engine.), and talk to kevin about the race fuel questions. He will hook you up with everything you need. Definitely get the hotrods crank and have kevin go over the factory hotrods welds before you put it together or have him put it together. -Jared
  7. Toss the swinger in the trash. With those holes drilled in it, the inside of the swingarm will be rusted all to hell.
  8. There will be a small stamped alphanumeric designation on the side of the carb right above the bowl seam. Get a pic of that and we can tell you what size carb you have. Alky without billet bowls... You are a brave man. I always drill out my fuel passages on the pj carbs for methanol.
  9. Just ride till its empty. LoL
  10. Mine did it too... I just removed the cover, cleaned the threads out with carb cleaner and an air gun, then put the bolts back in with a little dab of teflon.
  11. Too bad they are not pumpers, i would be all over them like a fat kid on candy. Jared
  12. Don't really care about the year. I'll ask the guy and see what he says on the price and get back to ya. - Jared
  13. Building a bike for a guy who has a box-o-parts banshee. He needs a frame. Must have a clean & clear VIN and must come with a clear title, notarized by seller and ready to transfer to new buyer. Send me pics if you have a frame and can help me out. Thanks, Jared
  14. I may be a little biased here, but this one gets my vote... http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=156420
  15. You can get maxload and TZ style bearings from every builder out there. I get my bearings from cascadeinnovations.net or give Kevin @ HJR a call, he can hook you up. - Jared
  16. PJ carbs only come in 34mm and 36mm. Post pics.
  17. Those are the pipes I run on my 10mil cub. AWESOME pipes. Those look identical to mine.
  18. If trinity built the motor, get ready to dish out a pretty penny to fix everything those fuck-tards screw up and make it run right. You will at the very least need: new domes cut, porting done to fix trinity's SHIT-PILE port job, new pipes, new gaskets, might as well order 6 or 7 sets of their JUNK powervalves because they WILL fall apart... Its not cheap to fix a trinity cheetah pile. Just keep that in the back of your mind if you do buy it. When you get beat by stock cylinder 350's on pump-gas with FMF's you will be back on here asking what's wrong and how to fix it... -Jared
  19. Looks like the cascade bikes. Nice build.
  20. That's a negatory honcho on the banshee + water action. You sir fail at banshee 101.
  21. Good quality custom-made parts take time. Be patient & just call and leave a polite voicemail and an email and when he has time he will get back to you. -Jared
  22. When did learning English stop being part of the normal school curriculum? Help the gene pool out and kill off the idiots like this.
