  1. Yes the banshee will run backwards if your timing is advanced too much, or your flywheel is moving around on the crank. I would pop off the stator cover and check everything out. Pull your flywheel and double-check the flywheel key & your timing plate. If something is happening where it is advancing the timing too far while its running and it tries to kick backwards who knows what kinda carnage it would cause when its spinning. A long time ago i remember a video of a kid who could start and ride his in reverse through a couple gears. -Jared
  2. I bet when the engine is running it will do ok. Just dont do a full theottle pass when you test it. Hold your throttle at 1/3 or 1/2 and just go along a long straight and run it through the gears. If your not in the powerband really hard and something is out of whack it will more than likely just bind and kill the engine instead of blowing it all to hell. Jared
  3. What is your static compression in each cylinder? Are you using the choke when you try to start it?
  4. With that logo on there its worth less than its weight in aluminum recycle. Chuck it in the trash.
  5. Don't we all! lol
  6. LOL! Even if matt figured his shit out, I'm still buying snipers.
  7. I know I'm pretty much the only guy on here who seems to ride at KP... but I'm going Aug 17-19 if anyone else wants to check it out. -Jared
  8. OK, so how about an official list of who all is going to be there? How about the noise restrictions? Do they test when you go through the gate or is it a random stop & check out on the dunes kinda thing? How about out-of-state registrtions & stickers? What all is needed for us out-of-state guys? -Jared
  9. Wait, so just because a kid races they should get a trophy? What the fuck happened to our society?
  10. Software or a Nerd Status Rating of 7.5 or higher.
  11. Hey man, I'm just an average joe rider like most on here. I would say give Kevin @ HJR a call, he can hook you up with the shift pro kit. You can also get it from cascadeinnovations.net
  12. Got a list of all the parts & mods?
  13. Any of the sponsors here on HQ will build you a quality motor. Kevin @ hjr builds a nice cub. Titan, redline, k&t... They all do nice work. Just call around and see who you click with on the phone and who is in your price range. Kevin @ HJR has ported a few sets of cylinders for me and all ran extremely well. He has really fast turnaround time as well. His number is in my signature. Give him a call. Jared
  14. If you are seeing any oil residue outside your engine, you have a leak or a bad gasket or seal. Just because you run rich doesnt mean you should see anything outside the cylinders. Jared
  15. That sand is so flammable ya know... Forest service can be retarded sometimes. Jared
  16. LOL! I can blame it on the thin air up here in Wyoming. You're just crazy.
  17. Single-Buff are the ones where you can still see the factory side-wall on the tires. Bead-to-Bead or (2nd Buff) are the ones that have a buffed carcass all the way to the rim. Tripple buff or Super-Lights are the really thin drag-racing setup tires that are like 3lbs. lol In any case, you have some good looking tires that should bring your asking price no problem. -Jared
  18. Why wouldn't the pipe builder listen to people when they complain about problems and fix things a loooong time ago? You would think a responsible business owner would listen to criticism and try and fix the issues as soon as they come up. How many years are we going to have to wait for Matt to fix the big-bore pipes now? The next set of pipes I buy will be sniper pipes, but until I need to buy a set I'm just going to keep the shitty fitting shearer pipes I have now. -Jared
  19. How about some pics up by the left-hand cylinder? I hope to god matt finially pulled his arrogant head out of his ass and fixed the god damn expansion chamber mounts so the left-hand expansion chamber doesn't smash against the head on the left cylinder. How about a pic looking down at the space between your left pipe and the head, and your upper pipe mount? The stingers never bug me much because I wrap them in header wrap. If you run billet bowls there is no way your upp intakes would work. You would have to run a reed spacer or billet intake that moved the carbs up and back, then the filters and chokes and shit would hit the stingers... -Jared
  20. There is no need to use RTV on intake gaskets if you do things correctly and everything is clean. Did you do a leak-down test after installation? I wouldn't ride it until you do a leak-down test and verify that you do not have any leaks. Are you sure your fuel petcock is not leaking and dripping down on your intakes? -Jared
  21. Are you sure the inner race is pressed on with the out-side face actually outside? Measure how much of a shim you would need to get the PTO gear in the correct position. Use a bearing press and remove the inner bearing race. Make/Buy a shim that will give you enough space. Put the shim in, them press the inner bearing race back in place. Install your crank and check your thrust clearance on the crank once its in the cases and torqued down to ensure the crank webs do not contact the case. Also, ensure that your bearing outer race lines up correctly with the half-moon holding clip if it has it. -Jared
  22. Chariot stuff is awesome! I say let the doucher come on here and try and flame you Jerry... He will get what's coming to him.
  23. Those look like a B2B buff or SLS carcass. Definitely not single buff. Yours are worth more than a set of single-buff's would be. -Jared
