  1. Why did you put a bigger jet in one side? My mods are listed in my sig and my mains are 320's.
  2. NOSS head..... good buy. I doubt you would have to rejet, and it is a very simple install. Dont have the V3's so no input on those.....
  3. I have the UM air box...... Had to drill my own drain holes in it. Easy filter access. If i remember it was EXPENSIVE! I think that you could get the same function out of a stock air box with no lid and a K&N adapter plate.... The CFM.... my brother has that set up on his bike. You CANT use your K&N pods in that, he assumed the same thing they are too long to fit in the box. the set that they tell you to buy are the same diameter, but much shorter.
  4. Check your compression. maybe your bike was lean the whole time..... like ogre said, need to know air setup and elevation.
  5. It is near Standish, MI. Private property, 500 acres that he welcomes all riders too. really cool guy, just hoping that he can stay open and we can continue riding.
  6. Dusty D Published by : lets_ride, Nb of signers :103 Dusty needs our help in his fight to remain open and MDS is supporting his fight with this petition to show what Dusty means to the community. Please post this at any and all sites that has Michigan riders that have or in the future would plan to ride at dusty's if he is allowed to remain open... For those that know Dusty D knows he has welcomed the ATV, ORV, Motorcycle, etc community with open arms, with his kindness of making everyone as comfortable as possible and making them feel as if they were at home. Well this hasn't been an easy road for him over the last year as the local golf course and government has at times made him close his riding area then allowing him to re-open with heavy restrictions to only make him close his doors again. They now have him closed until a meeting on May 1st 2006. Which he says could go either way. Here is what he said in his latest E-mail to me "Monday the 1st of May should be the day I find out if I can go commercial. I have promised my neighbors that I will move everything inland with required spark arrestors and state park decibel sound restrictions. If you could or someone from the site E mail me something I could show the zoning board to let them know that your club MDS rides here and promotes such a place. I would appreciate it like you wouldn't realize. Every bit of support counts, at the last meeting the golf course had more support than I did, I am trying to change that this hearing. I have heard through the vine that right now it is a split decision. Thank you in advance for anything you do to promote. Take care, Sincerely, Dusty." So in some attempt to show support to what Dusty is fighting for seeing he is fighting this alone for the "off-road community" and that we all enjoy his place and that he has a good thing going for there local business and the off road community MDS in communication with Dusty D has offered to make this online petition to show how much interest and appreciation of what Dusty D has to offer to us. I feel for what Dusty has allowed us to do and would continue to do if he is allowed to stay open this is only a small bit of what we could do to help his fight. Please pass this link on to ALL that may or have visited Dusty D's. This petition will be sent to dusty on April 30th 2006 so that dusty has it in time for the meeting. Thanks for your support in trying to make a difference to keep yet another place open for us to ride that someone else is trying to close. If you would also like to send a letter via E-mail send it to me at Mds (at) michigandirtslingers(dot)com and will make sure Dusty gets it by April 30th 2006 ------------------------------------------------ All signatures are confirmed via e-mail and only the MDS ADMINS will be able to view e-mail address's and will not use any info for any other purpose other than this petition.
  7. Start by checking your compression and work your way down from there.
  8. my thoughts exactly.
  9. I am in your area too, have a full set of tires and rims from an 04 yfz that will bolt right on...... let me know.
  10. i agree. If that is the noise that you are hearing, you are fine, ride on.
  11. awww...... F. That sucks!
  12. $5500 Canadian???? isnt that like $12,000 American?
  13. My buddy would probably sell you his, but were over here in michigan.... 2004, FMF exhaust, K&N, tag bars, paddle tires......
  14. Colder weather requires larger jets. Those same jets in warm weather will cause you to be on the rich side..... go to 330's or 320's and see how she runs.
  15. Does the bike have TORS on it? either way, the idle can be adjusted. a larger pilot jet may also help your cause.
  16. Without installing the pipes I would say start around 290 or 300's. start on the rich side. like biggun said.... while apart, putting in the larger pilot probably wouldnt hurt.
  17. Rebuilding the top end will not cost you thousands, more like a few hundred if you do the work yourself. You dont need new cylinders, unless you have had them bored several times before. Take your cylinders to be honed or bored, and be sure that the person who is doing this has the pistons that are going to be installed. I have Wiesco pistons in my bike, no complaints.
  18. Have a group of about 8-10 as of now, anyone else planning on being there? where you staying?
  19. I believe that stock carbs cant be switched sid to side, make sure that they on on correct ---- choke should be on your left. Make sure choke tube is in place. Did you put in new plugs? Gas??? when my bike runs low on gas, the left carb doesnt get gas flowing to it. Just a couple simple ideas, good luck.....
  20. PM sent.....
