  1. one set of intakes is like the stock ones that uses the cross over tube, the billet intakes do not have cross over. no pods thanks.
  2. 34mm keihin flat slides with dial a jet and two sets of intakes 1 billet and 1 rubber $250.00 plus shipping
  3. the mods are at the top of page. and needing biger jets doesnt sound right to me neither but every time i go bigger jets it runs better on top end. dont want to run it lean. thinking i might put the 34s back on and jet the pilots down a bit and see what happens. atleast with those carbs it ran great on top end with the 140 mains in it. ken
  4. thanks handyman havent played around much on here just with the posts trying to figure out my shee. thanks again. ken
  5. never knew how to pm seen lots of posts where people where saying to pm but dont know what that is or how to do it.
  6. ok decided to run with the 34mm kehins insted of the 28mm makunis. i feel it better to have top end and a bog at the bottom than to take off real good and lean it out on top end. i feel the porting is the probable problem with this thing, every thing else looks good and it shouldint need jets bigger than 520 in the 28mm makunis to get a top end. my mods are cool head w/18cc domes, bills pipes, carbon reeds, vitos superstock pistons and porting(dont know anything about the porting that was done) i have 140lb compression in both cylinders i live at 2500ft and the temp when we ride is usually around 80. when i wes running the 34mm kehins it had a real bad bog at bottom end and just crusing at about 1/4 throttle it would make a kackleing sound like maybe it was rich. i have 148 mains and 35 pilots and dial a jets. needle in middle position and runs strong on top with dial a jets open all the way. so do i need to go to a smaller pilot change needle position or what. is ther any way to tell how much porting has ben done, because i dont know what a stock one should look like. thank for any input ken
  7. like i said above i drilled the jets out to 5/64th and still need to go bigger and im at 2500ft. there has got to be something wrong some where that i would need to run that big of jets but dont know what it could be. when i was running the 34mm carbs i ran 125 mains and had the dial a jets opened all the way and it kindof acted like it was a little lean the last time out so i stoped riding it and rode my blaster. ken
  8. i will try that for the bottem end and see what happens thanks fir the input. ken
  9. raeding other guys mods and what they are running for jets doesnt it seem like me needing bigger than 520 jets is a bit much for the mods i have and still needing to go bigger yet.
  10. ok had some other posts on here trying to figure out jetting. have 01 shee with cool head and the old owner just told me it has 18cc domes, bills pipes vitos supperstock pistons carbon flex reedsuni pod filters and it is ported (dont know how much) had 34mm kehin flat slides and couldnt get rid of low end bog. so got new 28mm makuni flat slides and bilt an air box to mount the pod filters in (some people told me it might be sucking to much air) now has bog on top end, tried jetting with 27.5 pilots and 300 mains wich made it better got just past 3/4 throttle before bog so i drilled an old jet out to 1/16 and it got even better but still just above 3/4 throuttle it would bog out.i then drilled jets out to 5/64 naw can get almost to foll throttle before it bogs. tried to get bigger jets today and the biggest ones they had were 520 and they arent as big as the ones i drilled out. have the needle in the second clip from bottem. also at about 1/4 throttle just putting around it sounds like its fluttering, noy running smooth. the 34mm kehins had diala jets with 135 mains and 40 pilots but it had a bad bog when you stabed the throttle and it kinda fluttered at 1/4 throttle also. i did a compresion check and have 140lbs in both cylinders. so my question is wich carbs should i run and what jets i am at 2500 ft thanks ken
  11. if the floats are set to low would that cause this problem. havent checked that just wondering.
  12. bothsides have oil coming out, just the left side appears to have more. does this mean its rich, when i put the new carbs on i adjusted the slides so they moved at the same time, is this not the way to sink carbs. and i know what size i drilled the holes what i dont know is what size of jets this would make it.(i know they are bigger than the 300 mains that i had in them.alot bigger) they are makuni 28mm flat slide carbs. ken
  13. i have oiley grease stuff leaking from exhaust flanges the one on the left appears to be leaking more than the right is this normal or is there a real problem. also can anybody tell me what size of jets they would be if they had a 5/64 in hole in them, the parts store was closed when i was trying to jet so i drilled some old jets out but still need bigger ones and dont know what size to get. thanks ken
  14. thanks chris i am off tomaro and i will try to get some bigger jets. not sure what size to get becouse like i said i drilled some old ones out with a 5/64 drill bit so i need to figure out what size that would be. thanks fore the help ken
  15. forgot to ask if its bad to have wet greesey stuff running down from the exhaust flanges, the left side is leaking more than the right side. i did a compression test and i have 140 in both cylinders
