  1. I bought the kit from magic racing, comes with cable, caps, idle screws, drill, and a tap. Its easy to do, rip that sh!& off there.
  2. I removed my stock air box and replaced it with a UM aluminum one. This box requires a K&N filter that fits a 250R. The box itself has an open top, I put an outerwears (somewhat waterproof), but i strongly suggest drilling some drain holes in the bottom of it because some water will get through. If you want to remove and replace the airbox frequently, the UM box easily slides in and out through the top, rather than from the back of the bike. You also have to have filters for when you remove the air box, i think that the 2 K&N filters will run you about $80. Air box about $200 K&N Filter about $50 Outerwear about $20 There are different styles of airboxes out there, just gotta look around. My brother got one for about $120 that holds 2 smaller K&N's in it, but then you gotta spend the $$$ for the extra filter.
  3. I'll be there, probably second weekend. hopin it warms up!
  4. The chain/sprocket was my first idea. I took the slack out of the chain, but havent had a chance to check it out yet, hope that fixes it.
  5. '03 Banshee with power reeds, reed spacers, 4 degree advance timing, aluminum air box with single K&N, ProCircuit pipes and silencers. Bike starts fine and idles, but has a bog in the low end. From what I have read, i should go up to a 30 for the pilots? and bring the air screws out about 2 turns? I have 290 mains in right now, was gonna put in 300's, or should i go bigger?
  6. No problems shifting at all. It is locking up after the clutch has been released and i start moving. As i am riding it makes loud clunking noises and locks up frequently, but as i mentioned, its only at lower RPMs. When the wheels would lock up they would skid for a few inches then turn a few times, then lock up again, etc. It seemed like once it entered the powerband, the problem stopped. I have never experienced any thing like this before, but it is a very violent stopping of the wheels with a loud clunking noise. I just checked the oil, its full and clean from what i can tell. I will drain it, and check it out, if you guys think i might find something.
  7. hey guys, new member, lookin for some help. I have an 03 Banshee that i recently purchased from a dealer. the bike is new, just has been on the showroom floor for a year. anyway, i put new reeds, spacers, jets, open air box w/K&N filter, Pro-Circuit pipes and silencers on it, and removed the TORS. Yesterday was the first day i got to actually ride it in some terrain (mostly wet sand and mud). Every thing was fine for about an hour and a half or so. The problem is that when i was riding the back tires were locking up for split seconds then spinning again. It was doing this in first and second gear (didnt have chance to get into third). I shut the bike off to check it out, and after it cooled for about 20-25 minutes the problem went away, but did occur a few times later. It seems to happen during the bottom end of the gear, once the rpms get up it goes away. I was going to drain the oil to be sure there are no gear teeth just chillin in there. But i really have no idea what would be causing this problem. Would low oil cause this? Too hot? WHERE SHOULD I START LOOKING? WHAT COULD BE CAUSING THIS?
