  1. I have done some mor reading through past posts..... If my cylinders can be bored, then do I have to wait to get piston kit??? How do I know what size to get??? Sorry about stupid questions, but I am new to this.
  2. I live in Las Vegas, I think our elevation is around 2200-2400. I have read and have been told I could run pump gas with 20cc domes. I have also been told not too. I am guessing to be on the safe side I will get 21cc replacements. Does anyone live in a similar elevation? Any suggestions on jetting with the 20cc or 21cc domes? I have never had the cylinders honed or bored, I just hope they aren't too damaged to have that done. Any other suggestions, besides "get a four stroke"????
  3. I have a 2000 Banshee. I have made a few modifications over the years, primarily bolt-ons. I have found the further from stock I get, the more problems I am having. I have installed the following: FMF fatty pipes/silencers, Moose jet/needle kit,V-Force reeds, twist throttle and a Chozen Performance cool head w/20cc domes. I was told by Yamaha dealership when I bought the cool head, I could run pump gas with the 20cc domes. Well 20 minutes into Dumont.... I am running on 1 cylinder.... My buddy took top end apart and my cylinder sleeves/pistons were all eaten up. One of the domes were also pitted. He says that it ran too lean resulting in the damage. Now my question is.... what is the best way to fix the top end of my bike without spending thousands of dollars?? I was looking at different piston kits from various companies, does anyone have any feed back from those and which do you consider the best. Is it better to re-sleeve my cylinders or just buy new ones?? I know this is long, but I just want my bike fixed. Any help would be appreciated.
