  1. Im gonna be there with something 225cc's less than a banshee. Bigwill, check your PM's!
  2. My old Rm250 had teh same problem, except it would eventually go into gear when you pressed hard enough, this only happened when going to first though. I figured one of the shift forks were bent, i traded it off though and never looked into it really good. I have read older RM' were notorious for that.
  3. ever look at the toyota tacoma or pickup? Hopefully in a month or so ill be buying a tacoma, they are pretty pricey though so you might be better off with a older pickup. You can probally get one with 100,000 miles and in good shape for 4 grand, a tacoma your looking from 8-10 grand easily with that mileage, maybe even more!!
  4. PT cruisers can be easily confused with a shoe
  5. here is another place t look at for that type of stuff. http://www.jetsrus.com/main_page.htm And for just jets i would order from here http://www.magicracing.com/
  6. If you look at dirtbike flywheels compared to the banshee flywheel you will see why they add weight to them, they are so tiny!
  7. my friends dad just totaled his in accident a couple days ago, no one died so i would say they are pretty safe
  8. give some details, how long ago did you put the pipes on and rejet it? Did you try new plugs? Is this right after you put the pipes on? theres a couple things you could of done wrong on installation to make it run bad.
  9. It is pretty much necissary, you can get them on ebay for about $15. Its good to have since most 2 stroke bikes/quads use the same one. your only other option is to pry it off with a screw driver, if you manage to get it off you will have to spend $60 on a new flywheel becasue your old one is bent!!
  10. I have a bunch of queastions i need answered if ya dont mind! First, My project shee has FMF's, stock airfilter, with lid, i have a 280 main in there which should be fine. Pilot is a 25, i knew my toomeys ran great with that, but fmf says 30's. The banshee is real hard to start, im thinking maybe bigger pilots would cure this. Any suggestions? One of my biggest questions is that my left carb is leaking from the bottom of the float bowl. I have adjusted the float to spec and it stoped a majority of the leaking, it is very small now ut it shouldnt be leaking at all!! What should i do, im thinking maye the float needle and seat is worn so a carb rebuild kit may cure the prolem. Any input on that would be nice. And last, the bike is flooded, some guy i know said to get a torch and set the flame a couple inches from the spark plug hole and it will burn up all the fuel. But cant this go all the way to the carbs since its a 2 stroke? anyone ever done anythng like that? I had the bike running for about 6 minutes total so far, it does run really really good, revs up perfectly, just this leaking and starting prolem is killing me. Thanks alot!! engine is .080 over if that matters any, Air screws 1.5 out
  11. my grand total, check my thread in the pics section to see before and afters. Bore: $55 Pistons/gaskets: $150 Clutch cable: $15 TORS kit: $60 Seat cover: $20 Grips: $10 Jets: $10 Thats about it!
  12. The bike yamaha should of made!!
  13. Have a good one
  14. Yup, you have a .060 over, this would make it a 364. The guy probally thought .060 over meant 60 more cc's=410!!
  15. well of course, i was refering to a 850cc single cylinder. Multi cylinders are a different story but they will never fit into a quad frame and still be light and nimble!!
  16. whats an 850cc gonna rev to, 5000?
  17. i dont see why your having a problem tapping them out, i just did it last week without a problem. All i used was some WD-40, starting turning the tap in, making sure its always straight and going slow. THere no tricks or anything, pretty simple.
  18. Dont know much about them on shee's (i have a noss head on the shee), but i have one on my KX125. Quality is excellent, looks great, i got mine in anodized black. Not much to say about them, they work great just like any other head, plus they were pretty much the only one available for my KX. I broke my stock head so i decided to upgrade, i definally feel a boost on bottom and it pulls harder. went from 180 PSI to 210 PSI, please excuse my filthy engine, havnt cleaned it real good in a while.
  19. www.rockymountainatv.com accepts paypal on orders, thats the only big store i actually know does that, im sure theres more. You can always look in the for sale section, lots of people use paypal here!!
  20. hey guys, i need two 280 and 300 sized main jets for the stock minkuni carbs. project shee i have has 240's in it right now, good thing i relized how small they were before i got her all together!! Let me know what you gus have!!
  21. I could imagine Ronald McDonald cruising the dunes on that picking up honies...
  22. Not sure if it helps any, but i found this picture of my banshee. Dont know if its the shot you needed, but its the best i had. Those are 28mm's by the way, it should matter though
  23. not such a good idea, notice all the sites this guy posted on? just show them this link and all the facts are layed out for them.
