  1. I have a 2000 banshee that was a theft recovery and was purchased at an auction. How can i get some sort of title for this, the VIN is scratched off of course. Would i be able to do anything with your title?
  2. Dont count on it lasting, i painted the natural tank on a CR 80 and it eventually bubbled, they say this is due to the tank "breathing". If you notice on dirtbike graphics that are applied to the tanks they are slotted to allow air to pass through.
  3. its probally your kickstarter rattling, most every banshee does it.
  4. toomey will exchange you for free, they will give you brand new T5's. Thats what i did, i had T6's, used them for 5 hours of riding time, and decided i want to get the bike ported. They said it was no problem and to send the pipes and stingers in and i will get brand new T5's, my T6's even had some blueing!!
  5. if it helps on my ported banshee with T5's i run 155 mains and 52 pilots, there is a midrange bog in the warmer weather so im gonna go to 50 pilots. On my other banshee with just FMF pipes i have 50 pilots and a 140 main, it seems to be lean in the midrange and is hard to start so i am going to put in the 52's tomorrow. For you i would try at least 52 pilots and maybe 150-160 mains, shearers will flow some fuel through there! You will have to play with the clip, im pretty sure i have mine 1 down from the middle. See what others think, i am just basing these on what i run on my banshee's.
  6. whats the retail for one of those KTM look alike mini's and what would shipping be to NJ? MODEL# DB-13 | RSX-125W I am starting to do some buying and selling of mini's and i find there is intrest for them in my area, i figured i would see how much that bike is. now that i look at it, is that a 2 stroke or 4 stroke? from what i can see the engine looks like a 4 stroke minibke engine with that pipe on it for looks.
  7. ahahaha, watch the south park episode that got pulled http://www.contemporaryinsanity.org/content/view/548/49/
  8. i think these guys will http://www.ftzracing.com/ATVpg.html
  9. ASV levers are a must on bikes, but are damn cool to have on quads too. I have one on my banshee and KX!!
  10. where is this hole, i am confused. Are you talking about the hole that the needle rests in that goes all the way into the bowl or are you talking about the hole in the bottom of the slide. Sounds to me like you need to buy a manual.
  11. either buy a carb syncing tool, jeff at FAST racing on here sells them, or try to eye it out best as possible. take off your filter and see if the slides are opening together. Say the right one opens first and the left one is lagging. Unscrew the nut on the adjuster on the left carb top and turn it counter clock wise and see if it helps them open together. Eyeing it out is annoying and it will take a little while to get perfect, i just did mine today.
  12. i will check that for sure, the previous owner butchered the harness and it looks like ass. I wouldnt be suprised if the wires are trashd. Thing that sucks is that i cannot just swap it off my banshee because its an 03, the project one is a 00. Everyone else, give me more stuff to check!!
  13. so your saying adjusting doesnt even have any effect, like it idling to high? Did you check to see if the slides are actually being rasied at all? with the idle kit, you will probally need to file down the tube that the idle screws screw into, i did when i installed it on my carbs. I noticed when i screwed them in it had no effect on the slides so i took off a couple inches and they worked fine. Im not sure about your situation, but it seems that the top of the carbs arnt raising them, just install the idle kit and file that tube down and it should be fine!
  14. Yo, this damn project banshee is driving me INSANE!! okay here is the problem, its so damn hard to start. Sometimes it fires for a second, but recently it has been starting every so often, like 10 kicks. It was at the point where i could only pull start it, but its better now. OK, here is what i have checked. Put on carbs off my main banshee(28mm PWK) Put on reeds off my bike Synced carbs got new head(old one was milled making 170 PSI)- comp. is now 135-perfect!! Replaced ignition coil from my bike, did nothing so i put old one back on I dont know where else to check, this thing runs excellent. The spark plugs look good, i was putting around on it today. It idles beautifully and all runs great except for one thing, decelleration. it seems rough on deceleration, my banshee is smooth coming to a stop from full throttle(errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr) this one sounds like(errrrrrrr*ding*rrrrrrrrrrrr*ding**ding*rrrrrrr). I am not sure what is causing this, it seems to be jetted good, when i pull the choke it want to die and runs bad. I have a 140 main, 50 pilot, 1 1/4 on the air scres, im pretty sure the clip is one down from the middle. My banshee(ported and T5's) runs 155 main and a 52 pilot, the prokect bike only has FMF's so i think it isnt running lean or anything. Please, give me suggestions and things to try. Could it be the CDI? what else is there that would cause this! My main concern is the starting, it should fire right up!!
  15. i dont know if i would be searching for a deal when im trying to find a builder to port my engine, if they butcher the jugs that will end up costing you more than a port job from a reputible builder. Hell, this guy could be really good, lets see some videos!!
  16. i threw my carbs on today, but i have a little problem other than carbs. The "stock" head i bought is really milled, my compression is at 170, wayy to high for regular gas. The bike is definally detinating and dieseled on me, meaning i turned off the swtich and it still ran for 5 seconds or so. It ran good with 140 mains and 50 pilots, 1 1/4 ou. It started pretty good towards the end, but after i pulled the plugs and they looked grey/whitish (detenation) I decided not to run it untill i get a new head. Damn, more money
  17. the real power gainer is flipping your reeds, vrooooooooooooooooooooooooom!!!
  18. his little bike is quick and its not even ported, i would like to see those full drag mini's run!
  19. damn, that gets it right off. One thing i want to know is how long it stays off, keep us updated.
  20. It was real cold at the time, so it may be a bit rich now. It didnt have any hesitation when i rode it, it was very snappy in the low end! i think that is about where i am on my ported banshee, my other banshee only has FMF pipes so it should be ablot less. I have everything through 135-155 so i may go with the 135's and see how it does. the only other pilot i have is a 40 so im gonna try that too, dont have much of a choice there! I feel like a dumbass, i sold the stock carbs on my banshee for about $65 a while ago (tuned perfectly for T5's), i have put about $100 into these carbs between the TORS eliminater and rebuild kit, im an idiot hell, i bought my 28 PWK's for $175!! Maybe if they run good on the project shee i will just leave them on and go with bigger carbs for my main shee
  21. it cant be the jet sizes, i have 30 pilots, 280 mains, and its on the clip FMF says. When i pull start it, it runs great. Its just starting, its near impossible by kicking it. I figured i could narrow it down by trying these other carbs, if it wtill has the problem i have to look elsewhere.
  22. Hey, my project banshee is pissing me off, i think its the carbs on there that make it so hard to start. Im gonna throw on the 28's off my bike on there to see, but my banshee is ported so it will be way rich. What jets are good for a bike with FMF pipes and thats all with kehien 28mm PWK's, hopefully i have the jets i need, i may just throw on the leanest jets i have. Let me know any info you have, thanks alot!!
