  1. shocks,dyna ignition
  2. possibly, the only way i know to set the slides is to bttom them out and use the throttle to get it running and adjust the idle screws as you goose the throttle, letting it idle down until satisfied with the idle.there is a measurement i think you can goe by but dont know it off the top of my head.after your satisfied with the idle i use a drill bit to measure the slide hight to each carbto tweak them just right.
  3. is the choke tube on?are you using the choke to start it?
  4. does he have it back together or is he selling it as the pics show?i wouldnt if its gonna be in peices.deffinately want to here her run and have him drive it around, and not easy either.offer him 6800$ see if he bites.good luck
  5. my best advise for both your situations is,take the plugs out see if there soaked, clean them up with some carb cleaner, let them dry.put them back in,and try to start it with no choke.it sounds like you both have a rich condition.if any think it sounds like float problems, flooding the engine when idleing
  6. doesnt sound like it ,it sounds more like the coil.the cdi cant pick witch cylinder to fire.
  7. a local shee builder told me once that with a stock cdi you dont want to use resistor plugs.double resistor,b-cause the plug caps are loaded will cause shortened life of the coil and cdi.dont know if its true ,any one know ?
  8. you should do it your self.if not just to save money, but just to learn how to do it.dealer cost are way outa hand and honestly i wouldnt want some one running my shee with out me there,ya just never know how hard they run it.black wood, you ever ride in the pit near penco tech?
  9. that pics the shit.i guess thats when he was WeenyRider
  10. lookin for an engine for a winter big bore project.dosent have to be the prettiest, just not seized or any tranny problems.no mods preferred.
  11. from what i remember broke stoned biker, the new guy, newer guy or whatever you call yourself, you look like a talk goofy lookin anarexic mug that just stepped off the tart cart to band camp.not to start shit or any thing
  12. dam i guess good things can happen when i get bored with a camera, looks good ,glad to help
  13. sounds close enough to get you going, take it easy and pay attention on whats shee's doing throughout the rev range?BTW were abouts in jersey are ya?
  14. give me your jugs ang 600$ and the deal is on :bolt:this kid has used car saleman written all over him
  15. and JACKASSES are JACKASSES
  16. my brother in law had a 300 ex after trading down from a lt250,i wasnt impressed at all of it.i raced him on my wifes 250ex with a pipe and dyno jet kit,and it was almost to close to call.300ex=overated!!!!!
  17. im not the man just one of them.good to hear that it got going on ya.ive learned since ive had my banshee, that the more you screw up the more you learn.that pesky choke tube has gotten me more than once.i would stay away from clamp ons ,i would pull the lid off and look into one of those cloth air box lids, there kinda new on the market, ive heard they work pretty good.cant remember the name but U.M comes to mind.if you do just check the jetting before you crank on her.with all my mods i run a 280 no lid and its a little fat (rich) near the bottom end,but its fine for me,but im near sea level,NJ you might be a little higher in elevation
  18. couple issues back in i believe dirtwheels someone did that.and of corse it was a banshee owner.hwo would of thunk it?
  19. good call
  20. i would find out what jets the put in there and post them on here.sounds to me that they richened it up something fierce.dealerships are mostly jackasses, when it comes to jetting.what kind of air filter are you running?any other mods like porting?carbs?
  21. yeah pics would be good, [email protected]
  22. from your signiture,if your still running fmf's they use o-rings.10$you can get 2 orings and new springs,if you change them out get some orange anti sieze and coat the o-rings before you put them in the pipes.it keeps them from drying out and helps seal better
  23. boysen reeds i found make it run a tad rich.try adjusting your air screw half to one turn out farther.also what kind of air box set up are you running.if you have the lid still on take it off, shees gotta breath and it might even out the mix,but check your plugs,so you dont go to lean.
  24. lol
  25. ill get more iff you like are these the ends you need?just making sure
