  5. yep, you can grind off any brackets that you wont be using before the pc.also dont leave any thing on the frame that you dont want melted, curing for pc is done at a minimum 450degrees for about 10-20 minutes depending on the type of pc,and there are a few types.chances are that the powdercoater will remove them wile glass beading the frame but why chance it.also make sure that he plugs al the nessesary threaded holes, because you dont want the pc in the treads or you wont be happy.anyways around here pcers charge to degrease and glas bead parts,so if you can do one or both of those you can save yourself some loot.good luck scott

  12. oilsmoke-i would put the money into which one your your wanting more performance out of now.a header wont give much hp without the rest of the exhaust to go with it,and on the intake side as well.more air in more air out. and for me ive had a few older cj5,7's.the 5 had a 289 ford in it an the 7 had a 351 windsor.they were both fun as hell, killed the 351 in the snow one year, blew a rod out the side of the block, victom of over reving, thats why i put a 289 in the cj5,that little thing would spin up something fierce sredish-is that the stock suspention artichulating(sp) like that?

  23. if you havent killed the threads already try threading the nut on a bit,and give it hell with a hammer.with the nut on it you have less chances killing the bolt and threads.get it moving and follow up with a centerpunch to push it through the rest of the way.is easy once you get it moving.and like oil said rust eater,wd-40, anykind of lube will help

  25. meaning if your that worried about tossing the chain again, wile you have the carrier apart for the new bearings pull the swing arm off and check it out.you have a new bike and the best way to learn to work on it is to buy a manual and tear into it.kinda gives you the re assurance of it being "right" and not have to worie about it for a wile.i call it preventive maintnance. and again i cant stress this enough,if this is your first banshee BUY a manual.to tell if a chains bent i lay it on its side coiled up on the floor and check it for any links that dont lay flat.
