  1. I would recomend the PTR's and a foam dual stafe filter for your riding.
  2. I have a set of +1 A-arms from them and have held up to alot of thrashing. Even the powder coat is still like new and I've had them for 3 years now. They make excellent products!
  3. Only on ported engines that have the port-timing changed. Porting doesn't hurt T6's at all!!!!!!!!!!It's all in some of your heads! If the port-timing is changed then they don't respond as well as the T5's or other pipes. You can add mods to a T6 and see just as much improvement as any other pipe.
  4. Man, I hope you get it dialed in soon.
  5. Either reroute hose, or move the tank up front so it will be lower. Try some coolant additive or high performance coolant like Engine Ice to keep temps down, also a new Prodesign water impeller will help.
  6. Any weekend is fine for me too. I have flexable hours at work so the people that have a hard time getting time off should decide when to get together.
  7. I ride in about all of those listed, I live near Attica's "Badlands" and they have all types of terrain in one area. Hillclimbs are my favorite, the more challenging and steeper, the more I want to do it!
  8. 70-75mph in about 11sec. Why would you need to know that?
  9. Porting and T6's is fine, it's the port timing that hurts them. Toomeys fit better, sound better (both sound similar), and they have a great rep for backing they're pipes. My friend got a set of CPI's in the mail and started to polish them before we put them on and the chrome came off! They exchanged them and now O.K. but I never heard of toomey's doing that. Both are good pipes, I'm not knocking CPI, just look around and make your own decision.
  10. I think you are due for a rebuild, the jetting that you have now should be real close to what you end up with. Look at my mods below, I have 300 main, needle in 3rd, and a 27.5 pilot and it runs great everywhere!
  11. Get some 27.5's and 30's and see how it responds. Pulling the choke out richens so you definately need bigger pilots. That doesn't explain the uphill bog (unless you were at idle) so I suggest moving needle up 1 notch.
  12. What size pilot? If stock most pipes like a bigger pilot, go to a 27.5 and try again.
  13. It sounds like you don't have the clutch cover on all the way, recheck and make sure it lines up with the basket correctly.
  14. If you are not going to modify it alot then go with the T6, if you plan on serios mods like a stroker in the future then go with the T5. The T6 is a very good pipe but has it's limits if the port-timing is changed from stock. You can still use the T6 if you do that but won't get as much as you would a T5.
  15. Have it done by a pro. You can have them port it for your type of riding, get more bottom/mid/top depending on how the portwork is done.
  16. I agree with sredish, to get more power out of it you have to move more air in/out of the engine. Airfilters, reeds, porting will help get air in and pipes, porting help get it out better. Boring will not get noticeable power gains.
  17. Everyone has there favorites, so here is mine. Redline shockproof gear oil in the trans, and redline 2-stroke racing oil in the engine. I run 32:1.
  18. There are several different companies that make a round "honda" style swingarm and carrier. I have a RPM round housing and love it, looks good and holds up great, chain adjustment is piece of cake!
  19. .028 is recomended but I don't know what is the best. It would depend on the mods. Like jetting, it would be different for most people.
  20. The reason that Haspin sounds better to me is that camping is cheap, they allow alcohol, and you can night ride. I don't encourage anyone to ride after drinking but some can sit at the campsite, others can go on a night ride. Badlands don't offer this, you can't have alcohol and you can't ride after 6:00. Gumby: there is a hospital about 20min from Haspin and it is closer to Indianapolis than Badlands so a Lifeflight would be quicker if needed. Are you planning on getting wild or do you have a medical condition? I really hope we can pull this off! I'm thinking memorial day weekend, let me know if this sounds good to most that plan on attending.
  21. 75mph is more the norm.
  22. Definately have it done, but have a reputable shop do it for you.
  23. Check all bolts after every 2-3 rides if you ride hard, especially the allen bolts by the front spindles. Mine used to come loose on me until I loctited the hell out of them. Change tranny oil about every 12-15hrs and find a good 2 stroke oil and stick with it.
  24. When that snow hits the pipes it will become water. I would at least use a outerwear on them for snow.
  25. Make sure you check the level by only putting the stick in and not threading it in.
