  1. Don't spend the money on them, they will probably get it wrong anyway! Do it yourself by using the jetting page and if you have any problems let us know, we'll be glad to help and the price is right!
  2. If you aren't going to race with them don't spend the money on res. It mainly only keeps them cooler for very hard riding for extended periods of time so if money is a concern, I wouldn't get resevoirs.
  3. Works would be a good choice, inexpensive, rebuildable and way better than stock. As far as not good for MX, I have used them for 8yrs and even though I only do 8-10 races a year they have held up good. There is a 75ft. triple that is out of a corner that only 3 people on quads do and I'm one of them so they aren't too bad! But, I did have them revalved by TCS.
  4. They are only connected by the choke tube and fuel line. Take off the vents in back, choke tube, and fuel line and disconnect from boots. Yes the main is in the float bowl, when you take it out don't loose the brass washer under it. Don't over tighten, just snug will do. If you need more help ask, all is willing to help.
  5. So a 2into1 isn't that great like some say or just his mods didn't respond to it?
  6. I used the OEM perch and lever off my 02 YZ 250. It works and looks great, plus has the easy adjust that only requires a touch to adjust.
  7. Either go to fullbores web site or K&K atv has them. Might find them on Ebay. I would like to have some but they don't make them with full front fenders, I have a couple of sets of race-cut fronts but would like Fullbore to offer a choice.
  8. I think they are like boost bottles. Alot of people like them and some don't but by the dyno charts I have seen on several sites they don't do anything. I have a boost bottle but I know it doesn't do a damn thing, but that was after I got it so it stays, plus looks better than the tube!
  9. As you can read I have some mods but I keep getting 2nd or 3rd (3rd more than anything!) at local hillclimb competition. What do you guy's think should be my next move? Keep in mind I still want to play ride and I race some MX and a few GNCC's every year, so longer swingarms and radical setups not going to work. I was thinking longrod and have spoke to Jim about it but want your opinions, I trust alot of you on here!
  10. I'd say a little less, like 45-50 but that's just my guess.
  11. No, it is meant to be used with coolant, and do like they say run distilled water, way less corrosion. If you can find ENGINE ICE, use that, it is meant to be used straight and cools very well.
  12. If you have pipes I would suggest 320 to start, if stock pipes 240 might work. Try it and do a plug check to see if lean or rich.
  13. Buy a shock off e-bay, as for the exhaust leak: Have you tried to realign the pipe, did you check the O-ring? Check these out because it should not be leaking at all.
  14. Go to a Yamaha dealer, or go to Magicracing.com
  15. I would guess you are close to 40-45hp. as for topend, maybe 75mph.
  16. Bend the steering loop back with a come-a-long (pulley) and when it lines up correctly, put a couple of braces on it. I put a piece of angle iron on each side of mine going from frame straight up to curve in loop. On the subframe just bend it back and try not to wreck again! ha ha ha
  17. Even if this was a "stock vs stock" race, the banshee will beat a 250R. But the real question is can you outride him? Most people I come across that talk smack can't back it up!
  18. Go with what Mrmatt said about the Badlands, and if you were talking about Haspin Acres it is almost all woods, hillclimbs, and trails everywhere. There is 2 moto tracks, one is small (and rough as hell) the other is more of a grandprix, has jumps but not huge and very long sections.
  19. Save for a car, and if there is $$$$ left, use it for a spelling tudor!
  20. A stroker kit and a set of pipes would be around $2000, or you can skip the stroker and just get porting, and head mod to go with pipes.
  21. Hey, let's here it for Holyman! I really appreciate this man, I'm sure everyone else does too. Let me know if I can do anything for you in return! If I come across any kickers I'll send them to ya so you'll have a few extras.
  22. Yes, mine look just like ledofthezep. Hey dunedemon: I know this is off topic but where did you get the IMS bumper? Ihave had DG, Duncan, AC, and a PRM but I like yours the best, can I get it chrome or polished? Thanks
  23. I am totally dissapointed in it, I get sick of seeing the same freestyle shit. Why don't they show some real world riding like, more trails, woods, hillclimbs and some crashes.
  24. Use a hone, easier, more even for a good seal on the rings.
  25. Sounds like it is lean on the pilot, go up a size and try that.
