  1. just looking for something i can compare changes with. not looking to spend a fortune right now. some old gage only setup in your friends pro shop that hasnt seen the light of day for 25 years is fine with me.. any leads or help is greatly appreciated..
  2. hell figure the hp to cc of the larger motors its really disapointing..i mean really an what 650-800cc making 160hp and needing a huge shot of nos....? but noone looks at tq curve or the hp curve at lower rpm'S like they should that damn cheeto is making a lot of hp down low in the rpm range... most "super" cubs are in the 71-72mm bore range.. so a 521ish to a 535... plus if someone would figure out ( and maybe someone did he he.....) that the stud strength is pretty weak and with better studs on the case and head that you can run more timing and create more internal pressure without blowing gaskets and parts off .... its a lot easier on a cheeta to do this.. plus IF your running pv's the higher internal pressures are'nt as likely to have a problem.. a pv will cause a higher compression ratio than a fixed port. but loosens up at higher rpms' just a thought.. can't wait to see the q16.. and just my opinion the fastest bike i have seen ( besides redlines triple) was a 16 mill 75 bore cheeta.. if i was ever to do a billet case motor thats what i would build.. ( the 14's and 12's are pretty brutal too) hell maybe even a 10mil/75 bore..
  3. i just made 2 bushings out of moly.. BUT drilling with big stuff should work fine. if i rember right they are either to skinny or to wide to fit right also. might check that too.
  4. PM'd.. thanks sheet that aint no stock cyl..
  5. naw economy has inflated my price to foETy BuCks
  6. nice carbs!. i always felt the pwk was a great carb with a few issues. looks like a bolt on top section. ( nice) if the billet bowls have the overflows ( of curse) and the larger nuts might be something worth looking into.. i'm really hoping the slides are chromed or at least plated ( i'll pm you my idear) no matter what these will be a nice part. coming from chariot for sure. the larger cc crowd i think will like these the best the cr500's kx 500' s and other larger 250r based i feel have needed a 44+mm carb for a long time.. plus dont forget about outlaw carts..
  7. south Seattle powersports..
  8. all i'll say is pv's will enable a much higher port number than any fixed port.. the inside port layout of a cub is identical to the cheeta.. same number of ports, same basic layout, same basic intake, boost port size. biggest difference is in the stud layout in the head ( cub is weaker) and the smaller intake reed size. which most any post on larger cc cubs the smaller size is said to be holding them back... from what i see the cheetah was so far ahead of its game at the time noone knew how to set it up worth a shit in the early days.. the cubs came out and had MASSIVE head, dome failure's untill the dome shape was figured out whats funny is using blair's figures for basic dome squish values and bore to squish band ratio's is what fixed the cub and what makes my cheeta's run well ( among lots of other things..) .. not sure why anyone was running 35 to 40 tho squish band and 11-14mm bands on them anyways??? the cheeta's are just "old news" thats all. if anyone took a cheeta and actually spent as much time with them as the do cubs the results would be phenomenal.. i mean really thats one hell of a curve 10millmike..
  9. pasi can help you out for sure. i can even pm him some real mx style porting tips if he wants.. its very involved to do a "real" mx port. when i read just clean up the casting and then dont do much with the transfers thats no where near what one really takes. at least MY idear of a "mx, trail" port.. a motor that comes on very strong in the 4500+ range but dosent hit the pipe so hard as to break the tires loose and cause you to loose traction. real mx porting makes the power broad and easily manageable. racing a pipey banshee is absolute hell on an mx track. you want something in the 45- 55ft lbs range tq wise and in the 65, 70-80hp range. the lower numbers + are easily done in the smaller cc motors. the higher ones are in 4 mills and 421's stock cylinder.
  10. nice looking blaster.
  11. like a 14 ripper..
  12. I told You that bike had the best parts on it!!! that was probably a cascade chrome jobby
  13. nothing. i paid 1700 for mine then had to completely rework the cyl then even go as far as get another fresh casting.. so i dont think your price is too far off. i bet you can get in that range.. i mean whats a supercub cost WIth EVERYTHING TO RUN IT LIKE THIS ONE.
  14. i just tuned a bike that had one of those on it.. BIG air leaks they b fixed meow.... bike runs good. owner happy face no more stupid lock either!
  15. i wont take the valves out of my "drag" motors no matter what. allows me to run port numbers that are nearly impossible with a fixed port. plus "hitting the pipe harder" just causes traction issues.. if some shop said take them out to make it more "duneable????" go get the motor and find a real person to build it that knows whats up. power valve cheetah's love a certain setup just like any motor.
  16. looking at the face of the dogs probably cause it wouldnt shift no mo.. i should dig up my old blowed gears i gots some GOOD ones! took a while to find a combo the ole turd liked

i usually have a fun time. hell i thin k last year i just sat and watched the mayhem unfold. and since i'm pretty sure my lil 350 dunner is no match for the monster motors that are out there these days no real a reason to plan a drag time.
  18. i really like the guys with fox shirts and even tatoo's that have no clue what a dirtbike, atv, etc is. i asked one dude once what he rode and he just said the shirt looked cool and his buddies were all wearing them.

  21. you should post some better pics of it.. all the welds are ground flat and then it was chromed. its really nice.
  22. just in case anyone is wondering. this cylinder runs absolutely awesome. BUT it will HAVE to run the pv's if it will be in a rider bike. it is setup specifically to use them. no big deal. it also has custom domes and a lot of time in the porting. this motor will run as a dunner or a drag bike with just minor pipe, timing, carb changes. that crankshaft is extremely true. at least when it went in i spent a lot of time truing it up. the cases match the cyl very nicely. the whole rotating assembly with a good pipe, BIG alky carbs and some real tuning will rip. put it in a light chassis, light rider, and no one will believe its a lil 400cc i hate to see you sell it but hey. whoever buys it if you have any questions or concern's feel free to PM me.
  23. the 350cc cubs rip bigtime. you build it up with the right parts and noone will believe its a lil motor.
  24. 1st gear is much stronger.. but i guess if you slip the bawls off of the launch it might live ok.
