i know a guy in garden city that had a fully portable light set up WITH timers. not sure if we'd need the timer's.. it ran off of a car battery. and could be easilly set up out there. not sure if he still has it or not? i'll see if i can get ahold of him. ig not its not to hard to buidl you might just paint some 12volt big bulbs used for those old drop lights? i think they are available in clear.. -

here is the pdf again incase you dont want to take the time to read through the post : http://www.splashndirt.com/catalogues/manufacturiers/PDFs/Sniper_17-3-05.pdf this is the same pdf i got booted from the forums over there for BUT its from a catalog from 2005 and there is NO contact info to even buy the pipes its just a file i used for information purposes. IT wasnt an attempt to sell anything.. infact i got a chance to look at that thread and i even posted that it wasnt to sell anything.. i'd really like to be done with this.. but i'll watch this a lil bit and try to explain this time after time.. -

the PDF i posted wasnt for the sniper pipe jim is developing it was for the current sniper pipes available through canada, europe and i didnt want to have the pipes confused as the same one i even was asked if they are and even tho i'm in no way connected to either company i explained that they are not i didnt have time to post why i put the pdf up as it was deleted and i was banned from the frum right away. maybe you should read some of what i wrote.. 90% oh infact here is the thread through bansheehq that i was involved in and what we kinda figured out what the deal was with them its also the SAME pdf i posted over on atvdrag but i'm still able to post here and it never got deleted for sponrship no no's http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=113943 WHOOPS -

camatv replied to springer's topic in For Sale - Parts & Accessories
dang springer those coilover marvins a schwwweeet -
is it overheating? is all tha smoke burning antifreeze? if the left side crank seal (or worse something exploded and took out the cases) is bad it will suck the trans fluid in and burn it usually they will still kinda run but after the oil is gone buy by motor
-
the clymer OR the haynes manual is great i kinda prefer the haynes. the OEM manual is very expensive and can be hard to understand by most. they dont do a very good job linking things together like the clymer or haynes.
-
is the air filter dirty? did you mix the oil in the fuel correctleyy is the engine set up for 110 or somethign like that and you have put 87 in it?

this is what i was mad about. i dont work for jim or snyper pipes. i just wanted to talk about them what your saying is that ANY product that we talk about even in the product reviews section if its NOT available through a site sponsor it should be deleted?? even if the thread is JUST to talk about a neato new product?? were all fucked now!!!! -
i know droping the motor down in the frame made it have all kinds of clearance on the top of the engine plugs were a breeze. i'll mount all the electrics to the underside of the tank on an alluminum plate. might remake the subframe to just have bare tubes with no holes or mounts. a friend of mine said we should just shave the alluminum sub down fill in all the holes and polish the whole stinker.. saawwweeett.. as soon as start on it i'll get them posted here!!

once the clutch is in you can get one of these to feel the new found power http://kalecoauto.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=7&products_id=41
-
if its an all original 87 i'd say it needs a clutch. best way to fix it is replace it. the type f trans fluid breaks down very fast i'd use any other motorcycle specific oil in the bottom end besides that crap. get a manual or look online for adjusting it thats very cucial to these bikes. the tusk clutch works great lube your clutch cable and install all the springs that come with it ( if you buy the one including springs hopefully you did) the springs in that kit arent much stiffer than stock and with a lubed cable and proper adjustment shouldnt pull any harder..

the smack test nice.. i usually use the drop kick in the street test with junk parts.

Lightest flat top DM 78mm piston you can get.
camatv replied to atv asphalt drag racer's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
neato. to bad i cannot see that thread. -
i think the t-rex is a flat top. not sure but i think wiseco could special make you a set. why you want some?
-
i am pretty sure jeff will tell you to ditch the spacer plate and get cut domes OR the thick head gasket used with the stocish heads. i cannot imagine a bike with 140's+ transfers. i'm not sure how it would run. the 202 would be pretty insane but useable ( kinda) but the trans being that high.. YIKES> plus the piston is droping so much lower than the floor of the port..

Unfortunately....I think were a dying breed. :(

banshee's will never die all it takes is for new owners to figure out stuff like this site, and find a good shop to deal with ( easily found through this site) why are you guys bashing the dude with the raptor? ( fastban8, MJ?) though you two were spokesmen for bansheehq. if a rappy owner wants to sell his rappy and buy a banshee but get this kinda crap from you 2 hmm. i know i got some shit already but dang talk about hypocrisy banshee will never die i would like to figure out how many were sold inthe usa. it sucks what yamaha did with them just get them started and used them to make $$$$ never updating them and in all reality holding them back quite a bit. if there was a set of gytr pipes for a banshee i'd love to have them!!! i have a gytr front bumper for mine!! never seen another one. they are coming back because 450 owners are realizing what piles those 4 pokes really are. i am seeing more and more yfz with nuked motors being sold and banshee's being bought and brought back to life. its a great time !!! -
i am working on one as we speak i was going to do one for trail riding but since i got this outlaw chassis the one i have now is going towards dune dragging. after looking at the frame closer and building a "mock" motor out of a bunch of junk parts i'm going to lower the engine down in the chassis as far as i can, and cut the front tubes out that held the oil tank in and use that area to make the motor mounts. i'm going to use stellar motor mounts on it. when i get around to really get into this project i'll take a bunch of pics and show how i did it. the banshee motor fits really nicely its the pipes thats an issue. BUT i'g going to be using outframe pipes. i'm also thinking of modding the outlaw chassis to use yfz seat and plastics.

believe me i'd love to. we have a few here and they can hold their own against some of the best.. just sucks that this is the banshee site but when you start a thread about some of those things they bomb i started a few a while back but they didnt last long.. and whats even worse is your right this thread has the potential to be one of the biggest. if thats what it takes to get shit going that sucks.. andy from m+m chimes in from time to time and thats great. i never see jeff at fast talk about anything i know he's a great builder and a fellow dune racer jim from passion pops up fouldout seems to know a few thangs as well as others i cannot think of. i dont know how many members are on this site. I apologize for what i said. guess not enough people will be upset at what really happend or understand what i was meaning.. dave is just trying to blow my character down and take the heat off himself its great that they have this thread to do that with. those other situations i was involved with were delt with on their own and dont really have anything to do with this even you said you cannot please everyone all the time i wont respond to this thread again i've said my piece. if you know me or see me out somewhere feel free to come over and be pissed at me. then if you want we can look over your bike and maybe find a few things to improve on, drink a few gatorade's and go ride and have some fun! -
after much talk on this topic i figured i might as well be the one to post this up. to adjust your chain FIRST remove the entire yamaha rear end and buy a roundcarrier swingarm then follow the posted link and enjoy!! http://www.lsracing.com/img/Guide_27.pdf

if you look i answer a lot of questions for you guys.,. BUT things i wouldnt really expect to get a LOT ( more than 50% or forum members) of responses on bansheehq would be: advanced porting, advanced head design and why domes look the way they look OR even a thread discussing different materials for domes.. advanced pipe design and what the pipe is really doing <-- what i am getting bashed for. what carbs are dooing and why ( besides a jetting thread) chassis set up as far as how to keep an extremely high hp motor in a frame and keep it hooked up. reeds and why they act like they do. <--- been a kinda neato thread but it died really quick... the combination of all these together and their effects on each other and why one thing can be off and cause all kinds of problems.. what those problems are and how to correct them.. engines that produce in excess of 120hp just not a lot of talk on this site.. i'll continue to try and give the best advice on this site as its related to what i have found out on my own bikes.. i still ride every weekend and try new and differnt stuff all the time.. sorry what i said was taken out of context.
