  1. might need to degree it and really get into it as far as tuning... i jetted one a guy put together and no matter what i did it just didnt have much bottom end but had a noticeable overrev and hp pull on top. was fun in a straight line but needed help. i would really like to get ahold of a set and set them up on a 10 mill or a 4 mill. see what can be done with them. i think they have great potential.

    sleeper

i didnt read the whole thread so i'll just get to the point. here is my idear for a true sleeper.. vito's 10 mill vito's cylinder's 68mm bore, black painted ( flat black) stock head alky matched to the motor, alky conversion on bored stock carbs, lay the pj's on the side and hide them, timing plate, dyna, nology port for peak HP at about 8500rpm STOCK PIPES make it a low end midrange beast. hope to hell you can hold on with the stock swingarm. undercover lockup 1-5 override NEVER wash the bike. keep everything else stock including the plastic heel guards. lie to everyone and tell them its just a bone stock bike with a BOOST BOTTLE!!! run v paddles on it and the worn out ones i have in the garage. NOT new ones you will need some way to control it on the start. i'd guess about 65-70hp. but look bone stock and LOTS of mid bottom.. my dream sleeper. someday i'll build it.
  3. i'm just gonna beat spurdy!!! i like to line up just to yell at the guy next to me... the people that dont like to drag race have slow bikes.. i'm not to sure about the mature veteran thing tho... i do the wheelies down the strip for the girls!!
  4. overall how would you rate a pipe? overall power? ease of power ( pipe hit) they way they sound! they way they fit, they ease of use ( plugs, petcock) the power they deliver compared to what you want. hard to nail just one..
  5. any pics of silencer design yet?
  6. that hondaline oil is very very nice. it is made by mobil one i believe. i personally dont like atf but thats just me. i also use the castrol 4t and its available at o'reilley's it holds up very very well usually last for a few weekends or more.. you should be able to have autozone order you in a case. its specific to wet clutch , also known as motorcycle oil.
  7. if loco wants to make me a 90%+ i'm a cocksucker banner i'd even sport it in my sig..
  8. I was really thinking of wearing a 90%tr shirt at the october ride to show i was sorry.. but the ape hanger thing... well i have some ape hangers and i can disapear into the trailer if you want to bolt them on the ole cr500 trike. i'd ride it!
  9. is it a cheeta or a cub? do yo have the powervalves? if you have the pv's the cpi's OR the shear's will make a great all around bike. the shear's will be more op end than the cpi's but not much witht he cpi's it will have more "pull" WITH powervalves you can use either pipe and have decent bottom end.. i have never had or used a set of rocket's.. never even seen a real dyno graph compaing them to the other pipes that i can think
  10. the cpi's are going to want about 196-198+ degree's of exhaust timing the power is going to be very high your going to have to revv the bike MORE to get it to launch hard. i have seen this before BUT also get you r jetting in line and for sure right... cpi's are NOT trail pipes or ridding pipes. they are drag pipes and for the most part you probably not going to like them uless you drag race all the time. for dunning, trail riding and playing around i would have kept the other pipes play with your jetting and you may need to look into improved porting, better head design, maybe better reeds and some tunnin..
  11. wow
  12. whats wrong with maybe heading to the dunes for a day? i know its hot as heck out right now but the early morning is pretty nice and the evening's aren't too bad if you had a similar bike to compare them to and it was a constant you could try things and race back to back a few times.? kinda how i judge changes at times.. there is a dyno in garden city that GP has you might talk to kevin gigot about that? not sure if you would want to drive that far? but i bet he could arrange a full day of time if needed?
  13. thats what i thouhgt but i was gonna say fiddish.. BUT pasi always finnish first HA HA
  14. if your just going to flip it i have a set of fmf's i'd swap you for those bill's i'd like to have another set to play with. they are a decent pipe..
  15. i know this sounds bad and all but trinity's if you are really going for mid top, OR t-6's if you want the best bottom end pipe...
  16. the doma for the cr's was one of the best pipes available. the silencer alone fited to the cr head pipe was alos one of the only silencers that made a noticeable difference .. i've never had a doma pipe for the banshee seems like a large chamber i'd like to try a set some day but here in the states they are kinda rare to find..
  17. well now you know how to tighten your chain but only if you can run windows translation program. thats french right? i can understand the 10mm and 40mm stuff.
  18. i knew the pipe was supercharging the 2 strokes its what makes them actually work like they should.. i was just saying that if you can get a motor to 100% or OVER 100% with no adder's it can be very powerful. just something i think about from time to time one of those about to fall asleep wonderabout's.. i just thought about it. if the pipe can supercharge the motor you should be able to measure the boost internally?? ( again thinking out loud)
  19. any stroker crank should be installed by someone who knows the tricks to get them to run droping in one with a spacer plate and messed up domes can result in a motor thats SLOWER than a properly built 350cc.. blaster pistons are'nt availabe till 66mm bore i believe. the 795 series is banshee style pistons in the lower bore's. also basegasket thickness and dome squish clearance all plays a part in a bomb motor or one thats reliable and runs like it should.
  20. ya know i just call you a dumb ass cause i love ya!! I can't wait till that bike ripps!! i'm taking a camera out so i can get a pic of your face the first time you stand it up.
  21. a bike will make power up to a certain rpm thats useable power or "powerband" then they will usually start to fall off OR overrev some bikes can overrev for a very long time they wont make anymore hp and can loose some but you can let them hang out for a lil while or tip out a top gear if it can pull it. i have heard that the old tz's would pull power up to around 12,000 and if you shut the pv's off they would overrev to the 18,000 rpm range !! stocker's i think are around 8500-9000 tops and modded can go as high as 13,000+ in hp. but rpm stands for: Ruins Peoples Motors i dont think the stock CDI has a rev limit it may have a electrical limit that is it just cannot process past say 13,500? i know i have reved my stockers into 11,000 on the dyno's under power. never checked my lil 350 but it also had a dyna and nology set up, it did feel like it just would never stop revving.. ( with shear pipes)
  22. I always felt that the way a 2 stroke works it would be hard to figure if it is 100% able to fill its self from just the pull of intake..( wording?) a 4stroke relies on the piston and valves alone to fill itself BUT as i see it a 2 stroke fills its lower cavity then using the pipe can crate MORE than what i pulled into itself to fill the chamber. BUT then its short pressure cycle, and unfull burn can change that but that in turn is what makes the pipe work.. but also makes the motor not so fuel effecient ( OR is it the fact that for 9000 rpm's or so its firing everytime? and would be like a 4 stroke running at 18,000 rpm's firing ever other revolution) i'm not sure if you could ever fully figure out what the ve is of a 2 stroke. i also noticed after doing some reading that the V.E. is realted to resonance.
  23. cool pic!! http://www.team-integra.net/sections/articles/showArticle.asp?ArticleID=471
  24. i believe this resonance is also known as volumetic effeciency? most motors cannot fill their volume without some help a 100% VE motor can fill all its cc's itself. and that hard to do sometimes. most motors are around 88-98% v.e. using resonance OR the weight of the air moving to help push the fuel/ air into a motor AFTER the piston has slowed down and stoped ( why i dont really believe a vacume cylinder head measureing device can't really show whats going on in a motor due to continous pull instead of speeding and slowing down flow as what happens in a motor_) using the extra weight of air OR using valves AND the piston to artificially charge a motor works pretty good. but its hard to imagine because of the way things only work due to the same way of doing things for so long... i kinda like velocity instead of slower volume.. and VE kinda plays into that.. i used to deal with V.E. in newer cars and mass air flow sensors,, only a couple vehicles can do 100% VE. getting a 2 stroke to do it would be cool you would know for sure that the motor is running to its potential. what i have asked in the past and NEVER gottena complete answer is WHAT is the V.E. of a banshee?? what can different cylinders V.E.'s do? how can you measure that in a 2 stroke. ( i cannot rember all the math i had to use to see if a motor and MAF sensor were working together correctly.) i think MULL enginerring has a intake that uses resonance to boost intake..??
  25. if quaddag had on nothing but a thong and turned sideways we wouldnt be able to see him!
