AND M+M for parts on builds as i dont have a dealer/ shop tho that might change some time soon.. unless i find another job!> -
buy a new shift shaft, and clutch gasket and 2 qts oil, and might as well change the detent , alignment guide pin and spring while your in there. oh and you will need the clutch lock washer also.

YIKES!! in my opinon the stock baskets limit to HP holding is about 55-65 hp. you dump the clutch hard on paddles nad your going to snap fingers off.. of course the weak part of hinson + wiseco baskets is the bolts that hold the weak plate on. kinda sucks the stock oem backing plate is STUPID hard and wont flex BUT the basket itself is crappy, the aftermarket basket is strong but the backing plate is junk. there are many aftermarket baskets available now that have this backing plate issue resolved.. i still prefer the straight cut spring loaded basket on the higher hp motors..

make sure the impeller is working ( pop cap, rev bike, look for coolant wooshing around), replace your cap, 13-16psi is available at o,reilley's ( its an import cap) do you have actual coolant in there like 50/50 mix right out of the bottle? or straight water out the tap ( big no no) THEN make sure your radiator is CLEAN that is NO mud or dirt or crap in the rad finn's is your grill stock or one of those aftermarket ones that you cannot even see the rad? wash it out with water and LET it dry before you ride it in the woods. if the finns are bent bad you might try and straighten them. you can't really just put put a bike like this in 1st gear or so. there is no fan and they can get pretty hot due to the lack of flow. the 16psi cap might solve the issue also. IF everything else is ok.

Coolant leak from case stud after assembly

i always smear ultra grey on the clutch cover on that part i think it does a few things i think it helps theo-ring slip into the clover and helps seal ANY small leaks that might develop. the NEW o-rings is a weird size anything other than the factory yamaha o-ring seemed to not work right for me. would always endup leaking, ear on install, or seap into the trans area. -

ole spurd's ride is about as close to a "dunner/ dragger" as i have ever seen!> hell the old fart ( HA) won a couple classes by blasting his " drag bike" through about a mile of whoops! m+m's bikes just show what good dune support gets ya! what i cannot get added to the list? does self made not count? or am i the only one HA -

how about adding actual motor size a 4 mill dm and a 4 mill cub arent even close in cc size HA how abuout add me to the list,. probably have 350cc stock cylinder ( maybe.) 10 mill cheeta ( 535) 4 mill cheeta ( 485) not sure if i'm consider'd a builder. but i built all my own motors. had help with domes but thats it. -

it seems everyone in the area here threw their stock pipes away one guy dosent want to sell his????? after buying t-5's of course i'm not paying 100 bucks for a set either. and ebay is litter'd with them do they EVER actaully sell those things? i mean really 49 bucks for ONE pipe and 35+ bucks for ONE silencers. what the hell.. i can cut them and mod them no problem right now its just finding a set!? i'd even take pics of everything.

yea we are all riding japanese built bike's. its the chinese "get rich quick junk" thats screwing up our stuff you can cut your stock timing plate for +4 d timing anyways.

i cant believe how many times i heard that a 115 rod crank was a 5 mill stroker.. back when i was doing the long rod 350's for mx use. but now in all reality i like the short rod motors in the smaller cc. longer rod is just that a longer rod to get a stroker yo have to move the pin around.

well i guess i am a lil baiased on the pipes the trinity's i have are actually on a highly modded 421 stock cylinder motor that makes around 55+ft lbs of tq. and around 80hp. its pretty hard to ride at times. the PC's are a great overall pipe. BUT for woods the t-6 gets my vote. plus they look amazing in my opinion. pc's are easy to find used.

i looked at that pic again i think the guy right behind the driver is waving the stank of that old guy driving with no shirt on in the heat's ole guy BO! he's definatelly not waving for the camers its nore of a oh man whats that stink!! i should have sat in the back seat!!

those are some nice looking bikes! WHAT FRAME is that green and blue one? hows it ride? looks cool. that read and black bike in the earlier posts is an outlaw chassis. you wouldnt happen to have any pics of that air box do ya?

the toomey needles should work very well. last 421 i did with stock carbs i ended up in the 400+ main range also. think it was at 430? but a lil bigger cc than yours. they actually run very suprisingly well with stock carbs. but 35's work much better! just goes to show how much mikuni carbs rely on needle and main jet for jetting and not so much on the pilot. that nearly the same pilot size as stock BUT HUGE main jet. that's the reason i believe so many people like them so much.
