  1. nice setup!
  2. i didnt read the entire thread but here is my opinion.. pods falling off. stay AWAY from the cheapass chinese built k+n filter knock off's if it DOSENT say K+N on the back of the filter take it back or say naw i want the real deal. i have had those piles of shit fall off and RIP in half on bikes even ones that were nearly new the clamps are CRAP and the material is CRAP if you cannot afford the extra 20 bucks for the k+n's start saving for a new top end you will need it. in my OPINION you dont need donkey dick 13" long filters. 6" usually works just fine.., also if i can KEEP the airbox i usually try to. i chop it all up and mod it so it come off very easily ( dunes dry trails etc) the filter is nowhere near the exhaust, and if you pull it all apart and use a good plate, seal the hell out of it, it works excellent. only one filter to maintain, AND it dosent rubb on the frame or anywhere else. filter lasts a lot longer.. after i do what i do it takes 2 bolts and 2 clamps and the whole thing is out. no need for exhaust covers ( extra $$) or any other weird stuff. of course this is my OPINION!
  3. frames bent BUT loosen up the shock BOLTS! then put the bike on the ground and see if it comes back up. if the upper sleeve is kinda old when you have it up off the ground adn tighten the shock bolts then drop it back on the ground the upper will not piviot like is should and cause the shaft to get off center. and stick. when you replace shocks put them on and leave the bolts loose then put it ont eh ground and move it up and down a lil bit then tighten the bolts for the shocks. and get a helmet.. or dont i guess i dont really care.. not my head.
  4. 162-165 mains. just get a few more and play with it! dont be afraid to just experiment. thats how jetting is done get a handfull of jets and just keep trying differnt setups till its right after you have it idleing and revving good you can start messign with mains.. a tad rich on top is not going to kill it and it shouldnt foul pulgs much if ever when you have it right.
  5. couple sets sold on ebay havent neard anything from those owners..? if i had a set in my hands today i could test them against inframe small bore cpi's, shear's,. shear big bore out frames' custom shear inframe 480 pipes. and the snipers. all on one motor ran at one time.. bike is ready to go. also have an unported 421 i could assemble and have ready for testing in about 4 days. i have seen one set up close on a serval and rode it but the bike needed some more tuning so couldnt really teel a big difference from anything else .. they are a definate serious pipe option !
  6. wow thats a big pilot! short hex mikuni jets..
  7. adjustable leak jet quick shot is awesome.. last one i did like that i ended up with a 50 pilot and 170 main with th e OEM needle the 07 i believe has an adjustable needle. the quickshot and adjustable idle air screw is nearly mandatory after any pipe install the bog is GONE and that makes a world of difference. gave the bike back to the dude and he nearly flipped it first time out. i think the quickshot is what made it possible to keep the oem needle. this one was an 06 if i rember or 07?
  8. welcome to shear's move the mounts all around and pull twist yank till they fit right. i have even put hose clamps at that spot in the pic where the filters rub to the frame and tightened them down till the pipes cleared. that actually worked really good.. the rear plasatic hides the clamp
  9. stop heat cycleing it and run the bitch like you stole it!! make sure its warmed up if the jetting is close not lean on top, and then take it down a road or a spot you can open it up on a nd rev it through every gear till 5th. then slow down turn around and do it again. the rings need seated in a lil harder. do this a few times and then let it kinda rest then hit it again.. if yoru comp is still low you got problems
  10. cool head with the right domes, if your airbox has a billet plate in it for the filter you can cut it all out and then rejet. +4 timing on the stock plate, lightened flywheel and ditch the crossover tube, use block off's then look into reeds and getting it ported, then you will need to concentrate on teh bottom end and the clutch.. work with the pipes you ahve now. and then after a while you can go with some cpi's, shear's rockets, or snipers etc.. the sst FMF has more top end overrev with a lil softer hit ont eh mid transition. the fattys have a decent overrev but the sst's will just go a lil farther.. the above pipes will make a LOT on top but without some other mods wont perform as best as they could

    Sand Prep

need a flag but i'd say buy it at the dunes get teh ones with the spring on the bottom bring more money than you think you will need. other than that paddles, change the oil, new plugs, check out the bike general maintenance adn ride the hell out of it.. you should really go out the first time with someone who has been around, anbd for the love of god NEVER go flying off a drop off if your not sure whats on the other end. also only jump dunes with a spotter.
  12. fuck the government adn their closure of land. how are we sapposed to enjoy the nature if we cannot even get there
  13. you mean the intake with the built in boost bottle? uh huh.. and just to add that dynograph is classic!! so much hp i slapped yo moma hahahahaha
  14. unless they have changed the desing lately the wiseco baskets blow butt.. dont know about the clutch. its probably fine.
  15. matton builds nice stuff that actually works great. and they are a site sponser also!! ( happy face)
  16. these pipes are being sold through a builder.. in my opinion you dont see much about them cause they just cost too much. i'd love to try a set out but i cannot get them used or cheap enough yet.. i dont really feel like droping 800 bucks just to let you guys know how they work for free..
  17. please have someone that knows what they are doing look at the bike instead of you and your frineds hitting it with a cresent wrench.
  18. how in the hell can you compare how a pipe sounds on a computer anyways! my old fatty SST's sounded like this beeee beeee bee bee beeeeeeeeeeee and my ole t-6's sounded like this.. beeeee beeee beeeeee beee bbe ebe ee beeeee ( i rode over some whoops at the end there sorry)
  19. who are all these "somebody's" and "they said's" i have looked and looked and i cannot find them anywhere
  20. oh and just to add stock port timing sucks.. thats pretty much all you need to know.. banshee tip numero uno
  21. 260-280 main stock pilot, clip in middle to one richer position. should run good. try the 270's first.

  23. you wont need 530 for a 421 mx style bike.. thats such a load. you just need to stay away from 20 dolla stretchomatic chains.. also if you have sproket wear you should replace the sprokets and the chain as a set.. best chains i have used were all over 8500 tensil strength thats the key as to waht to look for my personal favorite is the RK mxz3 or 4 also make sure all your guids are there and the rollers are in place very important to chain life.
  24. sounds to me like he has no clue.
