  1. if you get a new chain, make sure you get new sprockets too. Gotta buy them as a set, or they'll eat each other alive. One will wear the other wrong, and you'll either keep going through sprockets, or keep going through chains.
  2. lol....its gotta be bs. Pretty funny though
  3. sure would, lol @ a title for a 200X. I'm not sure what days are going to be good for me. Probably not until the beginning of next week? Wednsday thru friday I'm pretty much out of time. If not next monday or tuesday I definitely could next friday.
  4. a little off the subject but get those stock reeds out of there. They suck. Get yourself some dual stage boyesons. I like the non carbon fiber ones myself. They are stronger and all but I dont feel they flex enough and if you break one, they tend not to burn up in your engine like the other ones do. 1-2 hp notice, and all the snappiness you'd ever want. Completely changed my quad in how it reacts. It actually does what I want it to when I want it to now.
  5. not supposed to oil the outer filter. Just the inside one. It'll for one have more oil for less air flow, and two, make stuff stick to it real easy. I've always oiled just the inner one and have gone through some nasty stuff and have never gotten anything through to my intake.
  6. sure, the new yzf and the new honda are going to be killer quads on the trails.......but all I have to say is 250R. It's a killer in the trails. It's all about how you build a quad. My shee is completely built for riding on trails and once I get my -swingarm it'll turn, tear, and rip harder than it does already. I've thought about just leaving it stock and saving up for an aftermarket rolling chassis and throwing my shee engine in it, but I couldnt wait....maybe one of these days. A banshee engine in an aftermarket chassis setup must be a killer setup. Mine will keep up with any modded 4stroke in the trails basically as it is, and if I find an open straightaway it'll rip a 4stroke a new asshole. You just need to build a quad for its purpose. With a shee it takes a lot of work to build it towards trailriding or mx because it was made more for open area riding (dunes), but look at the 250R.....its a 2stroke......and whats dominated basically every class, and what setup do aftermarket frame companies design after? The new 4strokes rev out faster, and rev higher than they used to, but pound for pound you'll never be able to create more power out of a 4stroke than a 2stroke.
  7. you think it guzzles gas now mcaf, wait to you get that portwork done with the stroker. What size carbs are you running? I forget. I want some of those taperbored 30's, they'd be the ticket. Better flowing means more fuel and more power.....I'm also probably going to go with the smaller IMS so I can still use my plastic.....if it gets really bad I'll go back to carrying gas in my backpack. It seems like a heavy thing, but after you get used to it you dont even notice its on the back. Was doing all sorts of crazy climbs and stuff I'd never imagine I'd be doing....and thats with 2 gallons on my back.
  8. it works with stock chain guide....mine does
  9. Maybe they only had one arm?
  10. 275 american right? Are the cylinders borred to the pistons? Bearings? gaskets? Anything that I should be aware about on the cylinders or pistons? Would you take 275 and pay for half of shipping?
  11. I believe its hinson that makes it, they have those steel pieces over the the tabs to reduce wear. Looks like a good design to me. Anyone have one or seen them and what do you think about them?
  12. nah, motosport is different. Hopefully you'll be o.k.
  13. Who would of known, they have big ol ads in dirtwheels, and it seemed like a reputable company that probably buys in major bulk and thats why it seemed like such a good deal......figures that free shipping comes as pistons in a bag, or in my case....one piston
  14. A couple of sites I go to they have a "thing" of the month for what website it is. I think it would be great for this website. When the rest of the site gets up and running they could be on the front page. Or also depending on how much time it takes Ben to make the calendar of the month, we could have it so the first week of the month people put in their banshees that they want to have voted on, have someone or a moderator choose 5 or 6 out of that at the end of the week (dont know how many choices you can run for a poll), and then run a poll until the time that ben needs to be able to make the calendar. I'm on a s-10 forum and you'd be surprised how many sweet ass s-10's come out of the woodwork for s of the month. I've seen some v-8's that never post anything that are wicked hooked up. So what do the rest of you think? Any other imput on how to run it or ideas? Just something I thought I'd kick around, I know the forum is knew and we really dont have a "show me your quads thread" like the last forum going yet, and it'd be a good way to show off everyones shee's.
  15. yeah fixit, you were one of the guys I read about. I got the wiseco Pro lite kit from them. I've talked to a couple places and can get them 150 shipped to my door with bearings. I paid 140 from Rec. Aint no way in hell I'm running a piston that came in a bag in its wiseco box. Even the box looks kind of banged up. I mean...the piston looks alright....but you never know if it created a weak spot or not. Not to mention they thought they'd be smooth and cram the rings, circlips, pin and bearing all up in the wiseco box as well. And I dont know what the deal is with them changing their numbers all the time. Half the numbers in the dirtwheels mag dont work, and the east coast 1800 number worked.....now that is disconnected....and I'm getting a busy signal for the west coast 1800 number. Their info/order number used to work a couple days ago....now thats disconnected......they dont have an ad in the new dirtwheels mag either. I hope they go fuckin belly up......and I hope my bank getting back my 140 bucks is what does it.
  16. I got one of those Nac's beadbreakers. Their not that expensive, 50 bucks or something like that. Your way is a little bit cheaper probably, and a good idea I love it, pops beads off no problem. I even made an extension for it and we change out truck tires with it. Still gotta get the regular ones balanced, but forget trying to balance mudding tires.
  17. Bump! They are now known as NBS distributing. Still putting ads in dirtwheels, just putting them under a new name. I guess enough people were stating problems with them around the web and they were losing business.....so they changed their name BEWARE!!!!!!!!! read below! Ordered a Top End kit from them 5 weeks ago today on a Friday, The 3rd of October. They said no problem, it'll be out to me in a couple days. The next monday I try calling them to find out a tracking number so I would know when to look for it. The phone is either busy, noone answers, or I get a fax/modem connection. When I get through to the voice mail I've left like 10 messages in the last month, with no response. I emailed them every day asking whats going on with my kit, and that I need a tracking number for it. No response from them at all.....until the 20th they email me. The same day that they put the transaction through to my credit card. They told me that they dont know whats going on with the kit, and that they got a hold of their postmaster and put a tracer out on it, and for me to get a hold of my postmaster to see what I can do on my end. So I email them back asking for a tracking or reference number to give to my postmaster so he can start looking for it. Phone them and leave messages, email them......nothing. Apparently they were feeding me a line of shit, considering they would of had to send the package out to me before they even put my transaction through. So I get an email from them on Friday, saying that the package was lost, that their going to contact their insurance agency....and that they'll send me out another kit on monday. I told them not to bother because I already went with another company because I was tired of being fed a line of crap. So what happens.....Of course I get no replies.....and I get a package that showed up today, 5 weeks later, in a cheap ass tyvek bag, with only one piston. How the hell am I supposed to rebuild a banshee with only one piston. Their kit said for two pistons.....and they send me one. I put in a dispute claim with my bank last monday so hopefully I can get my money back. Recreation Unlimited keeps on changing their numbers around, and their just doing shady business all around. Before the forums got changed over I did a search on Recreation Unlimited and found about 5 or 6 people just on here that have had all sorts of problems with them. It's horrible customer service and I'd be more than glad to go somewhere else and pay an extra 15 bucks and have someone answer the phone, email, get me the pistons in a week or so, and actually give me the whole kit. I saw the bag sitting there, and I'm like.....well its about frickin time.....pick up the bag and before I even opened it I could feel their was only one piston in there.....all I could say was figures. The piston wasnt even wrapped up. Just sitting in the wiseco box being banged around all the way from Virginia. Horrible Horrible Service!!!! Dont buy from them.
  18. order a couple sets of orings for it as well when you buy it. It'll save you in the long run of having to ship them to you later.
  19. dont forget the donkey punch. As your having sex doggystyle and about to cum, punch her in the back of the neck so she tightens up, making it feel all the much better. And the bucking bronco works well if she knows the names of your exgirlfriends. It only works twice though. The first time she's pissed and you can blame it on the move and the fun of it and that you did it on purpose.....she'll be mad but probably be o.k.....just that once. The second time is even a better ride.....but you wont be getting any for the next week or two.
  20. nope, its only 8 bucks for shipping. Heck of a good price. Hopefully they'll show up over the recreation unlimited pistons I ordered a month ago. I'm getting sick of sitting around and want to ride.
  21. all banshees are hemi's, the name is just a gimmick. It stands for hemispherical combustion chamber with the plug being in the center of it. Only head thats going to make a difference over a nosshead/pro design head etc is a head that has turbo domes in it, that presumably spins the intake charge to mix the fuel and air better......I say if it aint mixed by the time your crank stirs it around and it goes through the transfers and into the cylinder your not gonna get it much more mixed.
  22. lol @ the old ladies standing in the produce aisle and you come walking up with a titanium swingarm and throw it on the scale.
  23. its something like 600-800hp per cylinder. I love going to Maple Grove, and Englishtown in PA here. Close to sea level and if you catch it on a good weekend with low humidity and good racing temps track wise and air wise they are quite record setting tracks. I forget who it was but they turned a 4.38 I believe but couldnt back it up for the record. They are amazing to watch go down the track, if you've never seen it live, its nothing like it is on tv. And going into the pits and watching them tear apart an engine and put it back together in 45 minutes is crazy. Guy using big ass gloves to pull out the clutch plates, and after two with one hand he's gotta switch cause its burning him through the gloves so bad. They are one gear, the clutches are slipping when it first starts going down the track and they heat up and weld themselves together to fully engage.
  24. or you could just rebuild the top end and put the 400 a port job would cost you into a truck.
  25. Thats why my only number is my cellphone number I could of really used that about a year ago.
