  1. damnt.....this thread got me all wanting to eat a cheesesteak.....now i'm just pissed again.
  2. I totally get what your saying boon, and I'm all for that. I was just trying to set up an example of something going on right now. Anything for sale, should be in the for sale forum, as everything else should be where its supposed to be. I was mainly talking about that this site needs to strictly stick to banshees. Like if I have a problem with a 400ex and cant get an answer anywhere else.....I'd hope I'd be able to post it in the general discussion area and see if I can get a bite. Now if it was posted in repairs and mods....it should be moved....cause all that should be is about banshees. What I was trying to get at with the for sale section is that I dont want people coming on here trying to sell this, that, and the other, and if you havent been a member here for a while.....take it to another site to sell it.....or maybe it should be put in general discussion. But say, I've been a member for a while now....and I want to sell my g/f's 400ex....I should be able to put it in the for sale section. Or what would create another dimension to this site is a for sale section for nonbanshee related items. That way, if I'm looking for banshee parts....I can look in the banshee for sale section.....and if i'm trying to sell my playstation, I can put it in the nonbanshee section. Basically I just dont like when stuff disappears that someone could possibly use at some point. Someone might have some POS little kids quad laying in the back of the garage that they tried to sell 6 months back and forgot about.....and I could do a search.....and shoot them a pm seeing if they still have it. Stuff like that. I'm just into making this a community more than a one track forum. Sure....Banshee talk is the highway, but there is always little offstreets.
  3. do you add more coolant to the overflow bottle every time? I know mine will spill out if I add any. It likes to sit with only a tiny little bit in the bottom.
  4. you sure your tires arent spinning on the rims either? Put a marker mark on your rim and your tire to check.
  5. I'm not completely clear on what kind of port job your talking about putting these 33's on. I know for my type of riding and the type of portjob that I'm going to be getting that 33's are still going to be a large carb for my setup. I'm going with a heavy mx/trail type portjob and feel that the taperbored 30's will sit pretty and give enough air. I'm going to be running a longrod stroker that'll give me a strong torquey pull on the low end, and I want my portjob to work with that into consideration.....and still pull like crazy into high rpm's. i.e. Say I'm going to be shooting a hill, I want to be able to creep up to the bottom of it.....click it into second, rev it up, drop the clutch and just shoot right up it. And if it starts to fall out of the powerband, I want that low end power to get me up the rest of it without having to downshift or clutch it. If you go with to big of a carb, your going to choke the low end.
  6. I take personal offense to this topic
  7. dude, I'd keep looking. 4400 is a lot to ask for that bike that doesnt have that many mods. You wont be able to talk your friend down because he is your friend. You could find a quad very similar for 3000-3500. Personally I bought my quad new because I know what has exactly been done to it in its lifetime. I take personal satisfaction in building the bike to exactly how I want it. And it is coming along that way. I have dumped more money into it than I would of if I bought it used with stuff already done to it, but I know my quad up and down, and what its gone through. Not to mention half the satisfaction is upgrading and feeling that power increase, and suspension setup, and just the overall joy of taking a plain jane banshee and making it YOUR toy. Sure, you could take off stuff that you dont want on a used quad, sell them, and replace it with stuff you like......but its still someone elses toy.
  8. thats fine, I dont have any problems with any of that, and I'm not hating on you guys. When you said "cleaned" I thought you meant deleted because they didnt have anything to do with banshees. I'm not trying to be an ass or anything, I'm just trying to address issues we've had with moderators, and trying to nip everything in the butt that could possibly lead to anything bad in the future. It's the beginning of having moderators, and we're watching is all, and communicating on what is wanted with the site, and what is not. It's not only lee's site, It's OUR site. I only used Nyuk's thing in for sale as something as of late. Say for example I'm trying to sell my girlfriends 400ex because we're having another child or trying to buy a new house or something. I wouldnt want to be afraid to have my post deleted because its not banshee related. I've been part of these forums for a long time and feel its another outlet to be able to maybe sell the quad. Or say my girlfriend wants to go riding....and someone on here is in the position above. They post that they're selling one, and I'm interested in it but havent seen it in other forums or ebay or whatever.
  9. dude....make one yourself. Get a frying pan, some chipped steak, american cheese, and a hoagie roll. Break the chipped steak up into pieces and throw it in the pan. Take a fork and a spatula and shred the meat apart. Once its thoroughly cooked through to your liking, throw some american cheese up on it, a tiny little bit of water to create steam, and cover it until the cheese melts through. Toast the roll up and throw it on their. I like mine with lots and lots of ketchup, with some onions thrown in every once in a while. Varieties you can add onions, peppers, pizza sauce instead of ketchup.
  10. actually I dont prefer Gino's or Pat's. I think their meat is flaked to big, and prefer american cheese myself. Dont get me wrong....they're pretty darn good for the way their made, but I'd prefer a little backstreet pizzashops cheesesteaks that are competing with the pizza shop down the road for customers. You'll get yourself a big fatass greasy cheesesteak with lots of cheese. Just cant beat it.
  11. Screamin wrote.... That right there is exactly what i'm talking about. If it doesnt belong in general.....where does it belong? I could see moving a post from general to a better suited section, but are you going to delete absolut's post because he wrote about having a son and it doesnt have anything to do with a banshee? Or is it o.k. because he said he might have to sell his shee to afford diapers? A forum just talking about banshees is a communist forum. We need to be able to talk about other things as well. We dont have single track minds, we are a community of people that have something in common, and granted banshee talk should be the number one thing talked about, but it shouldnt be the only thing. Another thing that comes to my mind, take Nyuk for instance, he's selling his pw80 and he put it up in the for sale section. It didnt get deleted because he's a known person on the site, and I believe thats fine. People that have been on the site for a while and are known should be able to do things like that. And I agree the for sale sections should be for the most part about banshee stuff. If someone comes on here with 5-10 posts trying to sell other crap etc etc....it should probably be dealt with. A non banshee for sale section would be nice as well, and if you only want banshee stuff in the general discussion area, we need an area that we can talk about non banshee stuff.
  12. also forgot to add, for myself theirs only three places I've found that I'd like to live. Your area happens to be one Duece. Santa Cruz is another place that I find pretty nice. And greenville, NC. Out of all of them, Southern California is the most like the Philadelphia area. Everything is still all go go go......but its more of a healthy go go go. Philly area is a stress and work and just overall hectic craziness type area. Greenville and most of the south is a more.....if I get there on time I'm early type lifestyle. All of the country has many things to offer, just to different types of people. I happen to like my change of seasons and dont think I could part with it.....but when I get older and want to get away from all this crap....I'm heading straight towards an area thats driveable to glamis. I've never lived in any of the areas, just experienced them, so I dont know exactly how it truly is, just a perspective.
  13. lol......helllllll yeah! I ordered a cheesesteak in the middle of the country once when I was away from philly for like 5 weeks and got a slab of steak on a roll with a strip of cheese whiz down the middle of it. I was like....wtf? Told the waitress to go cut it up into really thin slices.....throw on some more cheese...and bring it back.....it was still to thickly sliced....but what ya gonna do. And they gotta come on an Amoroso roll. I dont know what I'd do without amoroso rolls......probably have them dry iced to me or something. You can find chip steak anywhere....but a good roll is half the battle.
  14. .

    4mm Stroke.

all good banshee owners spank their children. We're real people who I'm sure have been spanked a time or two in our life. And look how we came out.....riding one of the sweetest quads ever made. I hate that crap on how spanking is wrong and it breeds bad families. Having a sore ass sitting on an uncomfortable barstool staring at a corner definitely taught me right from wrong. I hate when I see kids all out of control in stores and the parents are all stop that and dont do that and no thats not right you shouldnt do that.....and they just dont listen and keep doing what they're doing. Pull the kid aside, give them a nice wallup on the ass.....and you might see the funniest thing ever. After they cry for a second or two....they realize where they are....and they get all embarrassed. My daughter is just turning 2.....and if you tell her she's not supposed to be doing something.....she stops. She has learned right and wrong, and to listen to mommy and daddy. She usually stops what shes doing wrong to do something else wrong......but what can you do.....she's 2.
  15. yeah, some of our laws suck, and our roads suck, and theirs lots of things I'd change if I was president, but you know the beer stores close at 9, and you make sure you have enough to get through to the next day, and if not...theirs always a bar open somewhere. 4 in the morning, 6 in the morning....whenever. I've traveled around the country for 3 months, and been to many other places in the country and around the world on other travels for sports and I have to say I love my home. Their is such a vastness of people and things to do around here. I'm 2 hours from New york, 2 to the shore, 3 to Washington DC, an hour or 2 to the mountains snowboarding and sledding. Philly has such a history. You know how are fans are. Hell the eagles were on a drive down the field to win the game.....and we were booing them when they make a bad play. We're ruthless and you better be as good as your getting paid....or your gonna get boo'd. We've got independence hall, the liberty bell, and many other things. I have to say, I've never been to cleveland, and dont know the area that well, but every person I've ever met in person or team I've played against from the cleveland (ohio general) area, has just been a little weird. Nothing in particular.....just kind of ....off. No offense cause I'm sure not everyone is like what I've dealt with, but all I can go by is experience. yeah they changed it to 65 I believe. Thats why I choose to live in an area where their is lots of business, which takes the weight off of the homeowners shoulders of having to front for new things. And I dont know what your talkin about not being able to drive beaters. Theres nothing more fun than buying a car for 100 bucks that has a month left on its inspection/emissions that you have to put a quart of oil in every 20 minutes and just beat the piss out of it until it breaks. Then you either sell it to a junkyard for 50 bucks, or use it to make a jump. Fire departments like to take them to practice on as well.
  16. I see it like this, Moderators are a good thing if they dont use it for their own use. To moderate is to keep the site moving smoothly. If someone is cursing in their post, or if things get ugly in other ways (within moderation i.e. racial things and such should be taken care of) I think things should be let go. If a topic is in the wrong forum, it should be moved to where it belongs. If things get personal, it should only be deleted after those involved are talked to and agree on it, or ask to have it removed. They should be warned to take it elsewhere as well. That way when holyman made that post....if it got deleted he would know that brooke took some offense to it in some way. If a post is something not about a banshee, it should be put in general discussion, with the moderator stating why it was moved. I like this forum being one of freedom, and I like to be able to say what I want to say, without the fear of having someone delete it on me. I've never gotten along with people that have power over me or what I do, and dont feel a moderator should be a person that is in that position. A moderator should be looked at as more of a sorter, spam watcher, and referee. And with the moderator being a referee in mind, it puts it into more of a game. We have players, fans, and referees. In certain topics we have arguments, drama, etc and its an added dimension to the site. I like being a fan in that aspect. I like playing as well, and I'm sure I'd make a good referee. I just dont want to see a dynamic forum go downhill because of control. And in the good words of Fez: Thank you, and good day........I SAID GOOD DAY!
  17. where you live?
  18. its alright.....we understand......you're from Cleveland
  19. you dont have 22" tires on your shee do you?
  20. thats frickin sweet man. How'd it get up on one wheel like that? Just one paddle grab more?
  21. I agree, you just need to practice more using your rear brake. You should use both breaks to stop. I've had someone ride out right in front of me while riding in Jersey in the sand and was stopping as hard as I could with both brakes without sliding much....just missed him. Not to mention what if your front brakes fail.....chances are it wouldnt happen....but it could. I've gone down hills that if I only had front brakes I'd be going over the handlebars. Your riding situations might be different, but unless your shee is built to the tilt, and you need to shave every ounce possible because you have nothing left you can do, or your shee is only built for going in a straight line....I'd keep both front and back.
  22. first of all is your choke tube connected?
  23. yeah, you might end up with an airfilter up your ass
  24. damn....150 bucks.....you can get new ones for that price
  25. dont confuse parts unlimited with Recreation Unlimited. Two different companies. All I know is that I better get my money back from those bastards.
