  1. Just pulled my cylinders off a week ago, first time from factory, the one had a plug, the other didnt. (I think) You supposedly dont need them anyway. They are to keep coolant from going down into your crankcase when you pull the cylinders.
  2. do a search on here for your questions. Theres tons of info on the subjects your talking about
  3. .

    trailer tail lights.

Home Depot, Sears Hardware, Farm & Country and stores like that have'm for pretty cheap. That'd prolly be your best bet. Unless someone on here has them for free and just gotta pay for shipping.

  5. very very sweet. I'll trade ya a chrome bumper, balance tube and rezzy cover for it?......maybe throw in a buck or 2 How do the powervalve top ends produce more power in drag? Dont you just block them off? Is it just the way their designed that they'll flow better?
  6. how they work?....how much do they run?
  7. lol....I hate popping them off on stuff, especially the cheap bottles like corona and rolling rock, they tend to like to break pieces off. (I know the cheap bottles, drive a recycling truck and you tend to find out which ones break easy when you drop them.) Bottle openers are indeed great mods, but when in a pinch and want to look cool when you get handed that cold one, just lean over and pop it open on your footpeg.
  8. yeah, it happens. Its not good to get it down in your crankcase but it happens, as long as its not like a quart down there, it'll just burn up when you start it up. If you got a lot you could always drain the trans, pull it out of the chassis and turn it upside down.
  9. go to nossmachine.com, he's got a compression chart for your elevation. I'd go with a set of domes that you'll be able to run regular fuel, if not a little race thrown in there until it drops a little compression. If you dont have your crank welded I wouldnt recommend the higher compression. The higher the compression the less your top end is gonna last. The power loss wont be that great, maybe a horse or two and you can gain that back in other places. You might feel a little loss in low end torque as well.
  10. good reeds will run you about 40 bucks. Well worth the money. You could use yamabond if you want to attach the gaskets to the jugs. I dont know what others use if anything at all, but I would think it would be something to use. Mine were pretty stuck to my jugs, figured they used a sealer of some sort. Get some boyeson dual stage reeds. I prefer them over the carbon fibers. Dont think they flex enough and if you happen to break one they arent going to burn up in your cylinders as easily as a regular reed.

sweeeeeeeet!!!!.....I hope she doesnt have any teeth.....I could go for a good gumjob.
  12. recreation unlimited can sell you a whole kit including bearings for 140 shipped to your door. The domes should have a number on the side of them. You'll have to pull your jugs off to really see what happened. Mine kind of looked like that. Mine lost a ring on the upstroke so it was kind of opposite of what yours was. Pull the jugs and take some more pics of the piston. Any cylinder wall scoring?
  13. try scraping some off the reed stops. If it flakes off like paint would chances are its paint. It could also be the gasket sealer they used when putting the intake gaskets on and got a little generous? Get some dual stage reeds when you throw that thing back together and ditch those reed stops. Your throttle response gains will be enormous.
  14. heck with the stabilizer......how's that bottle opener workin for ya? Would love to have a stabilizer.....just a little pricey for me.....maybe one of these days.

  19. If you narrowed it down to them. Give them a call and talk to them. Tell them your considering them to do your portwork. Tell them what you want etc etc etc. Whoever you feel most comfortable with afterward go with them. They're all reputable places so. Dont count a builder out because you cant get a hold of them easily. I'm sure they are all very busy and when you do get a chance to talk to them it'll be worth it. And dont decide on one if you havent gotten a chance to talk to the other. It'll get rid of all wonderment of: I wonder if I would of went with..... Try giving them an email as well if you cant get a hold of them and ask when a good time to call would be.
  20. Now that's some camel toe!
