This is the shittiest thing ever!!! I was in the same boat as you needing a stator, and after reading all the reviews on both companies i was forced to buy a stock stator from another member on here. Its a shame that no one makes a quality stator for banshees at an affordable price. I really wish i knew how to rewind these things cause someone could make a killin on here.

Ok long story short, i got a passion 12 port, 4 mill, 35mm keihins, shearer inframes, vforce 3 reeds, stock heads cut for 100 octane. I have no tranny mods, and am just running the stiffer springs for the clutch. I was going to purchase a shift star, and a shift pro kit, but didnt and wont be able to for a week or so. Would it be wise to put the engine together, install it, ride it, and in a week or so pull the clutch cover off and install those parts? Basically will the bike be able to shift without those parts installed for now? Also any help is appreciated, going to do a leak down test, and want to check squish. For squish i just take a piece of solder and roll the engine over by hand and measure how much it crushed right? The solder has to be bent and pointed to the cylinder wall correct, as to stay out of the dome? 6 psi for 6 minutes on the leakdown? What do you guys use to pump it up? Thanks Cody

Some pipes are just slip on and you use high temp silicon and just slid them over the cylinder, dont get to crazy on the high temp though. Other pipes such as the stockers have a groove in the pipe flange itself, this is where the oring goes. To me it sound like you were trying to install the orings on the cylinders themself, maybe i just misunderstood you. Also i do know that paul turners have a spot for orings on the head pipes, maybe the older sets did not? Cody

If you get the domed pistons, and cut the head for bigger valves, it adds like 50 more horse. The banshee 5 valve makes like 40 horse stock so if my calculations are correct you should be at like 110 horsepower, thats to the camshaft though so you would need to deduct like 15% do to parasitic loss through the driveshaft to figure front wheel horsepower!
