  1. First thing you got to ask yourself is what you wanna do with this bike? Second is could i build a banshee motor that would do what i want better and cheaper! which i think you could!

  5. i guess before i said something about the cheetah i should have asked what your setup is now, i doubt its something like a cheetah if your thinking about going with a 2:1 carb setup!
  6. well i wouldnt worry about that cheetah cause your def not going to beat it. Idk about there statement on the top end, i would think you would lose some for sure, just think your going from 2 26mm to maybe a 35mm, somethings gotta give and plain and simple its going to be the top end.
  7. An adjustable timing plate set at 4 degrees advanced would really complament that setup. As far as pipes go it depends on what type of riding you do. Kevin really likes the shearers as do a few builders on here. For carbs that also depends on what kind of riding you do, 35mm keihins are a good all around carb and would work well with a four mill, do you know what your displacement is and what kind of riding you do. That way a few other guys on here can tailor fit your setup for you, also kevin would be a good guy to talk to since he did your porting!
  8. all i have to say about the paul turner mids is my girlfreind has a set that she has for sale now, but when i rode it i had never felt a shee that pulled so hard on the bottom end and just kept on pullin. I could not keep the front end down!!!! Now im not sayin im goin to run out and buy them but they do pull friggin hard like crazy!! Also they sound amazing with the fatboy 2's!
  9. i dont know about the shearers but i do know the cpis dont show there potential on a stock bike, they run ok but you wont notice as much of a difference as you would with some t5's, fatty's, pts, dmc's, etc. I imagine the shearers would be even worse. You have to remeber what these pipes are made for and its not for stock bikes that are puttin around the trails, its for all out balls to the wall drag racing!
  10. exactly what i was thinkin theres got to be some compression, try a new gauge for sure. Manufactures of those gages do make mistakes and maybe you got a bad one!
  11. ya idk about that, what i do know is that you can adavance and retard the timing with the plate, make sure you didnt retard it, because if you did it will run like shyyyyyyyytttttttttttttt. Retarding the timing is for running a power adder and it starts a little easier but banshees just like big and small block chevys love timing advance!
  12. ok just outta curoisty, ive got a set of stockers that have a passion port on them, there at a fresh 40 over. Would it be more economical to sleeve them when i do reach 80 over or just replace them? I know the sleeves would have to be cleaned up for the porting and all that jazz, just wondering what most guys do. I have no idea how much sleeves cost or any of that. Not trying to thread jack either, trying to open another door for the poster.
  13. Ya if your not draggin or care about spankin the shit outta everybody then theres nothin wrong with a single carb, and your right there alot easier to tune!!!

  16. What type of fuel are you running? Whats your compression? Just wondering if you may be getting preignition. If your running stock head that hasnt been cut, and 92, 93 octane you shouldnt have a problem running 4 degrees advanced.

  20. make sure you get the import one and somebody correct me if im wrong but im pretty sure its a 16lb one.
  21. ya dont get a cheap sunpro gage, they dont last long at all. I went threw 5 of them and they kept warranting them and then i got my money back.
  22. my fronts arnt cut but my buddys is and he has black and a black tank, i can see if he will post a pic later today.

  24. Cutting the plastics is no big deal. I really like my ims and when i ride a shee without the big tank now it just feels weird. I had one then all my buddys decided to get one to, just for the fact that you can make it around most of the trails we ride. We go long distances and dont have anywhere to stop for fuel. Correct me if im wrong but the clark has the vents on the side of it like the stock tank plastics correct? I always thought those look nice, but i wouldnt trade my ims for anything!!! Also dont plan on putting any stickers on the tank, they bubble up like crazy!
