Well i dont really know my parking brake has never worked since i got it, but the brain is still there above the left cylindar, i have unplugged it and it still does the same thing.

i did notice today when i checked my spark plugs that the left boot is a little looser then the right. Did you have the same symptoms, It still idles fine though.

It says in the manual any sae-10w30 4 cycle engine oil will work, or equivelant

Ya I cleaned my carbs out good

Awhile ago i washed my banshee after a day of riding, i let it cool down and then washed it from head to toe. Well after letting it dry, i took it for another ride, well i was hauling down a strightaway, and then it started to spit and sputter. So i put it away pissed that i am having another problem( 5 or 6 weeks before i had to buy a stator, because it was spittin and sputterin, that fixed it) well about 2 weeks later i went back out to see if it was still doin it, it was! So i cleaned my airfilter, gave it a compression test ( same # as always ) got new plugs, gets good spark,new gas, cleaned intakes, unplugged tors, and checked reeds. Well all that was good, does anybody have any idea? Here are the symptoms i have to rev the piss out of it to take of at first, it dogs out and spits and sputters, backfires a little, but idles perfectly. To sum it up, it acts like its not getting enough gas, or missing.

Ya like he said dont mess with the jetting unless you have changed something, try new spark plugs, and see if it is getting good spark and then let us know

Get the dual k&n's on as soon as you can because the stock setup sucks, you might even want to think about getting a proflow adapter plate, and a uniflow foam airfilter, and get rid of the snorkel. Thats my setup

I got a 95 shee a week ago

i havnt had any problems with my 1986 honda trx 200r sx ya i know its the sx but i beat this thing to hell, and i have had no problems, i jump it, donuts, everything u can emagine. I know though that this thing stands no chance to my banshee, which i ride way more then that 250r now, but before i had my banshee thats all i rode, and i was happy with it! Im not takin no sides on whos better but with my experiences honda does make one tough little quad. And yamaha makes one fast mother. So why dont we all settle are differences, and how does anyone know that yamaha has been developing the yfz for 5 years, do you work for yamaha! most likely not any company could be lying on how long it has been in development. thats just my 2 cense, not to argue with anyones oppinion, but one thing i know is that my 1986 trx 200sx is one tough quad i love it! btw i got a link to a picture of my shee in my signature i love that to
