  1. thats a helluva deal!
  2. also what kind of oil are you running, i run castor 927 and it is a great oil but does like to settle out when its cold. Make sure you shake the bike really good, then turn your fuel on. Mine will still smoke pretty good when i first start it up but then as it warms up and starts taking the shaken up fuel in it will stop smoking to almost no smoke. Check your coolant level, smell the exhaust (is hard on a two stroke) but it should have a sweet smell to it, also check your transmission fluid and see if it may not be leaking by the crank seal. I also run mine with the cap off for a little while after a rebuild, this prevents an air pocket from building up, and most times you will have to add just a smige of coolant after its been run. If its warm and your breaking it in put a fan in front off it to move some air over the rad as its idling. If you idle it to long it may have a chance off overheating. Just a few thoughts i had. Cody
  3. i torque mine in stages to and end up right around 25#'s, for the ones i cannot get with the torque wrench and swivel i usually get pretty close by hand.

  14. Dude those pistons have less than an hour on them, barely broke my engine in, i was using castor 927 at 32:1 and jetting was spot on! I didnt clean them up at all as to show that they had only been ran for an hour!
  15. sounded pretty knarly, glad to hear you were alright!

  17. im not to familiar with the 28's but i think i remeber someone saying those were for oil injection but i could be wrong.
  18. i think the nipple that she is talking about i drilled right into the carb body, i might be able to find a pic. The one up top next to the choke?
  19. nope no dead spot on the midrange at all, just a little slow off the start, i dont have 52's for pilots will 50's work. I have 45,50,55 pilots.
  20. Need a little help on the jetting, i got 155's, 55's in it now i believe. Bike seems to run pretty good, air screws are at 1 1/2 turns out. It does seem a little dull till it gets on the pipe, but i think that may be the nature of the beast. Just wondering if this sounds about right for this motor. Havnt got to do a wide open test yet for lack of room, but im at 1200 feet ,and its been about 40 to 50 degrees here. Just wanted a second opinon Thanks Cody Mods are in sig!

  22. Ya i dont know what it is when your young, but when ya crash the go cart, the snowmobile, the quad, etc lol Your more worried about what your dads going to think and if your going to get yelled at, and not if your ok or not. I remeber wiping out hard once, 6th gear pinnned coming over a slight hill, pants ripped right off lol, and the first thing i said to my buddy as i lay there, shee on its side, "is the quad alright lol" I always thought as a young kid people heal, quads cost money lol. Hope your son is alright, and i hope he gets right back on that quad and rips it up!!!!!!! Tough kid that is for sure!!! You should be proud as a father!
