  1. Rudy Kurtz from port magic, a&s, K&T and Patriot Racing are really good at porting for glamis. Rudy is in hersperia if you want to talk face to face with your porter.
  2. If you get the new styly cv2 then that one will work with v-force reeds. The old one with o-rings is hard to seal and that is why they switched to the new style manifold. I talked to Harry himself so no shit about this one.
  3. After you port the motor you really can not use the compression test you are using unless you want to see if you have equal pressure. You will need to find out what your compression raito is but I am unsure how to do this. Also you can not run too much compression with an unwelded crank. I have recreation porting done and my comp is 145 with 18cc domes.

  5. I think the ds 650 is really fast
  6. I think that +3 arms make the front too wide for mx racing by the rule books.
  7. I would get 22-11-8 on as many paddles you need in extreme haulers. This is the best for drag racing and my friends enjoy it duning as well. With this set up you will gain more traction and it lifts the bike higher off the ground so when you jump hard or go up or down a steep dune you will not hit the chassis or motor case on the ground. I had 20-10-10's and I had this problem all the time and while at the hill racing I would get a really bad start and had to spend the whole race catching up. With these tires the skat trak mohawks look great up front and are the lightest front tires you can get.
  8. It is not that complicated design. They just took off the rivited on roller piece and rivited on a bearing and gave some different spring that IMHO does nothing. So if you can find a bearing the same size at the stock roller then just rivit it on and presto......done for about $5.
  9. I have one and like it a lot. I use it with the stock set up and no shift star mod. Tudors performance is the ones that make them and I got mine at the sand sports supers show.
  10. I dont think you will be able to get away with +4 timming and 20cc domes. you can always mix a ratio of race gas.
  11. call trinity. Or you can look at their web site about jetting and they have a graph.
  12. do a leak down test on it. 350 sounds big.
  13. try a 13 front spocket. They are about 10-20 bucks and you can use the stock chain length
  14. v-force
  15. aluminum is not that good over 220. It starts to warp
  16. regina gold is what all the high performance drag quads on planet sand are running. I have their o-ring chain and it is fine. Have not used it that much either. I have a +6 and I think you can get away with a 120 lenght. You could also get a x-ring style chain too on ebay. I think it is more like 3.5 links per inch.
  17. you can get the spring from eibach. Just call them and then find a dealer to order it for you. I got mine from inland atv in loma linda ca for 80-90.
  18. some long travel shocks
  19. Put a copper penny inbetween the teeth on crank gear and the other gear on the right side of the motor. The copper penny is not that strong and will not harm the gears at all. Tell me if you can understand what I am saying? I am not sure if it came out right.
  20. I ride in the sand capital of the world. I am sure that one of those guys have had their stuff dailed in right. You will gain more bottom end but in the dunes you dont even use bottom end that much. Most people have their gears ratio so close that when they shift they dont drop enough to rpms to use that stump pulling power. I can see it if you are putting around all day but the group I go with ride hard and fast the whole time and we dont drop our rmps below 5000 rpms. Even someone here dynoed their single and it lost 5 hp on top.
  21. I didnt even like it on the motor without porting. I have never seen a fast bike with a single carb set up. I have talked to so many engine builders and NONE except trinity recomends the single carb set up. Look at patriot racing, a&s, K&t, rudy kurts, ted boyko from mission yamaha and they all say throw that piece of shit away and get some duals. They all dont agree on the size of duals though which is hard desiding on which to buy.
  22. you can run a +4 stroker with +5 long rods with either blaster pistons or 795 pistons and just cut the domes.
  23. you loose top end. Great for trail or woods ridding though.
  24. 22-11-8's skat trak haulers or extreme haulers are great for extended swing arms
  25. if you are going to buy a new crank you might as well get a stroker. It just a couple bucks more
