  1. You should use 6th gear in the big bowls and on the straights. When you put it in 6th it should not bog. I cruze the dunes in 4th and 5th, start up olds in 2nd and end in 5th. Thats the way people gear for glamis which is where I am guessing you ride.
  2. the riffling does not do anything because it is just for an inch and then the way gas goes through two stroke motors is all over the place. Just a hyped up pot smoking dream just like the turbo domes. It does work on the crank though.
  3. Ya Guy from inland atv is sometimes iffy but he is young and does pretty good considering he runs his own business,builds motors[really good honda guy] and plays a lot. His prices are the cheapest on those manifolds something like 100-120ish. I would not hesitate to buy from him on these manifolds.
  4. Dont get +2+1 arms. That is only for mx guys that the class rules require a certain width. Get some +3+1 instead. I have +3+1 arms and they make the quad very stable and with the shocks they soak up everything I can throw at it in glamis. A +4 swing arm sounds good too in the rear. Just get a new eibach spring and see if you can adjust it enough to where you like it.
  5. Ya that could be it but before I rebuilt the motor they were equally loud and I have repacked them last 5 rides ago.

  7. Maybe thats why they say the the manifold has more power? Shredish did you notice this?
  8. I got my shee running tonight after a main bearing too a crap. The question I have is, is it normal for one exhaust pipe to be louder than the other? This is on a 2-1 35 carb.
  9. If you were sucking tranny oil the right cylinder would be smoking. I think your rings might not be seating that well. Do you have 140 comp in both cylinders? You might also check if the reeds are cracked or loose.
  10. For those of you who ride in the sand going to a 15t sproket with just pipes on 20 inch tires is not recomended. You will need some good porting and around 70hp to use all of your gears. I can see how it would be great for trail ridding though.
  11. It looks like the rust eat through your rod. Use wd-40 for pre-mix. You might want to call quicksand motorsports about a plate he makes that goes behind the shift star. Make sure your adjustment on the bolt that is like a camshaft that has a lock washer is correct. So when the bike is in a gear the shift shaft c looking thing is equal between the pins on the shift star. Dont get the star modded untill you figure out what the problem is. Look for worn parts too.
  12. Has anyone tried marvinshawshocks.com. They have nice looking shocks with coils now and weigh a lot less. I called them today and he said that he dunes them very aggressive and they work great.

  15. Well a pipe will increase the top speed a little because it increases the rpms. I know what you mean too. Some guy I know tells me his banshee has something like 90hp and it is just ported. He adds all the hp figures up that manufactors give him such as 12hp for pipes 6 for intake, 4 for reeds,8 for stickers and so on.
  16. After the brown,black white,black,red wires go into the white connector it turns into two wires[red\black,black]. My question is where does that black wire go. There are two black wires that go to the back of the quad and it goes on one of those. One of the black wires has four black wires connected at one point and the other black wire has five black wires connected to it.

  18. You need to buy the flywheel puller made just for the banshee. I think magic racing has them if you cant get one locally.
  19. Where does the black wire that is pluged into the key switch go? There is a black and red wire on that conecter but I dont know where the black one goes. I know it is negative but cant remember if it went to the black wire that has 5 wires all conected at one spot or if it goes to the black wire that has 4 wires going to it. Can somebody please look on their bike and see for me.
  20. Even with your fmfs you can go a little bit bigger.
  21. gearing is the cheapest hp gain you can get. Just gear it to where you bike can pull all 6 gears.
  22. I just think he does not have the right fitting for the gauge. Make sure that the fitting goes all the way in just as far as a spark plug. Well I talked to Rudy Kurts and he said 50-50 ratio and +8 timming. I think I will try +6 to be safe.

  24. I am using 20cc domes now and I got 14.6:1 compression ratio. I would like to use at least +4 timming or +7. Does anyone have a chart or know how much octaine I will need to run? I had 18's on but I think things might last a little longer with the 20's. Also the 18's turned out to be 17cc when I filled them up with water. Is that normal? I did not use an o-ring just put grease on the edge of the dome and put plexy glass over it and it came out to 17. This makes me wonder if I have 19cc domes instead of 20cc. It does not matter because I measured the compression ratio with everything together.
  25. I got the eek but now have to put the motor back in the quad. The right main bearing got messed up and I had to tear it all apart. Some guy from trinity about a year ago told be to get the eek and I dont know why I did not listen back then. Going to glamis either the 20th or t-day for sure.
