Cost Effective Foot Peg Replacement

Hey, I am looking for footpegs that are good replacements for the stock ones. I was considering pro peg nerf bars but then I heard that they wear down really fast.

 

Now I have heard that blaster pegs work really well with a bit of grinding. I was hoping to find something that is a slightly wider profile. I was wondering if yfz foot pegs will bolt on with a bit of minor modding? I think the last couple years of the raptors had a wider profile as well, would these bolt up?

 

If not then I will try to pick up some blaster pegs and get them welded together to make them wider. IMS pegs cost waaay too much!

i bought a set of banshee pegs off ebay and cut the peg from the mont and welded them together, i bought a set of yfz450 pegs and was going to cut them off and weld them to the mounts, instead i bought the ac propeg nerfs and the pegs are awesome, like twice as wide and like a foot long. i can put both my feet on the same peg and there is still room on the end...

IMS / Roll Design are the straight up shit! stainless steel shark teeth. They're pricey but well worth it tho. I run the one's with the kick up at the end, have never ever slipped a peg since i put em on

I bought an extra set of banshee pegs off ebay for $25 shipped. Then cut the peg portion off from the mount, shaped em a little with the grinder, and welded em to my current pegs. Powder coated for $30 and that's it...

raptor pegs bolt right up, wider and farther back too.

after riding roll pegs i dont think i could go back to stock. 2nd best i would say is doing what wallrat did. buy an extra set and weld them together...

Can anyone post up pictures of raptor footpegs mounted on a shee and any fitting required.

ims / roll design pegs are one of the best in my opinion.

an easy thing also to do is buy the kick up extensions and bolt them to your stock pegs. I have a pair of chrome pegs that have worn down teeth that I put the kickups on and havent slipped a peg since. 99% of your slips are going to start off by your foot going sideways.

Raptor pegs will bolt on but will be back a bit so you might have to shorten your shifter and rear brake lever

Thanks for the input guys, the IMS Roll pegs are a little out of my price range, but the idea of raptor or blaster pegs is really good.

I know I'm digging up an old thread here but I was thinking about putting some raptor pegs on the shee and wanted to know if the stock nerfs would work without major modification?

Mod a set of yfz450 pegs. Its what I did. They are cheep on e-bay.
