  1. Hi, I am interested in buying a Banshee in or near CT. Please let me know if you have one or know of one. I prefer it to be piped and have skid plates at the minimum. My number is (203) 906-5981. Thanks, Jeff
  2. What length swingarm is that? How much do you want for it?
  3. Hey guys, I am really torn on a quad decision. I do not know whether to keep my Banshee or get a new Raptor 700. I primarily ride trails and do some play racing with my buddy who also has a Banshee at a small track that we built by my house. I really like the Banshee, but right now the handling is killing me. Let me say I have stock shocks all around and I have the lame stock front tires . I figure either way this is going to cost me some money so do I invest in some handling mods for the shee (-1 swinger, revalved rear shock, new front shocks, and tires) or do I go and pick up a new Rappy SE get some guards and call it a day. I figure the swinger would help in the traction department and with the new shocks I could probably lower the ride height and control body roll better in the turns. I really want to try to keep the narrower stance if possible, but then again +2s would put me at the same width as a stock Raptor 700. I mean I know that Modding the Shee is the cheaper route and I love the motor! Will the above mods put me on par or slightly better than a stock SE Rappy? Sorry for the longish post, and thanks for the input. Jeff
  4. Lepew, yes this is the rubber bushing I am talking about. I'm going to try just cleaning it out and reassembling it this week. Hopefully I won't run into this problem again.
  5. Hey Guys, I was just wondering if any of you had had this happen to you. My banshee has one of the bushings that is in the steel cup partially pull out. It was originally doing this when I first bought it used off of somebody, but now I have since replaced those bearings and noticed the bushing was coming out again. This seems a bit odd and I am going to rip it apart soon to fix it again. Can anyone offer any advice to assure this stays in place? Thanks, Jeff
  6. Hey Guys, My buddy has an 03 Banshee with toomey t5s, k & n, air box lid on, and boyseen reeds. Before the K and N and reeds the thing ran like a champ! Pulled hard, and clean no burbles nothing. It had the toomey jet kit, meaning 280 mains. Now with the K and N and reeds we are using 300 mains. The pilots are 27.5s. Keep in mind this is at sea level. The problem is it will not rev in 6th. 1-5 it pulls and clears out well, but 6th it falls flat on its face. The plug color was darker. Any suggestions? Please Help. Jeff
  7. Hi guys, I decided to keep the bike after all but, as luck would have it, a circlip let go and bang. Now I need a cylinder. If any of you guys have one please let me know. PM me! I am desperate! Thanks, Jeff
  8. Just to let you know, you might be a little shy in the width department. Banshees with stock a-arms are 43.3" wide. For what its worth I have a Chevy S-10 step side and it barely squeezes in there, and I really mean barely! Make sure you look into it. Also, I'd be wary of the inline 5 cylinder engine, thats just my .02.
  9. I think his handle is passionre, but check out http://www.passionracingengines.com/. Some sick motors!
  10. With or Without Rezzies and stock length arms or +2s?
  11. How about a 2001 KX 125 + Cash? -Jeff
  12. Will trade + cash for some Banshee parts though. I'm looking for a -1 or -2 swinger and some aftermarket front shocks.
  13. No thanks man, we don't get that much snow around here so the banshee stays in comission all year.
  14. How long do the chain slides last? Because I just replaced my roller for $5. I don't know if I could justify spending $30 for a slide when I could get 6 rollers for the same price.
  15. There are many variables when it comes to jumping. My thinking is that you are landing properly with your stock shocks from that 5' of air. Think about the difference it makes when you land a jump right vs. when you come nose down and land on a whoop or something. A flat landing on the rear tires will be much smoother than a flat landing on the front wheels. That's just my .02. By the way I NEED better shocks!
  16. Hell yeah to Alice in Chains and second Maiden! Awesome bands! Anyways, older system of a down is pretty good, I can't say I like this new album though in the few songs I've heard anyways.
  17. Last time I checked in my area it was hard to get an 80 for that price. Sure I know the days of 125s have passed but I am in no way that desperate to sell it. Its a fun bike with no problems, starts in less than 3 kicks after sitting for weeks and runs like a champ.
  18. Hi Everyone, I have a 2001 KX125 for sale. It has pro taper bars, nearly new chain and sprocket kit, belly skid plate and frame guards. I live in CT. Am asking $1800 OBO. My name is Jeff and pm me if you have any questions or are interested. Thanks.
  19. It is a very tough battle, as both groups have some big differences. Loud pipes, and Roosting their asses is not going to help the ATV cause. They'll think you are one of the irresponsible ones contributing to the problem. The only way is to fight them logically. But then again the extremists who want the environment to be extremely pure will never be happy either. You guys should be happy you aren't living in CT where there is no legal land to ride. Hell I dream about the dunes you guys have. I am very very jealous. I wish you luck in trying to preserve that fun, and hope these enviro nazis don't win!
  20. Any aftermarket parts? I'm interested. Look at your PMs. I sent you a message.
  21. You are right about Cost of Sales taking away our manufacturing base. Globalization just opened the door for it to happen.
  22. Hey I never said that credit card bills are part of the governments problem, however that will affect our economy when middle class america will no longer be able to afford to buy things and they start defaulting on loans. It all has its own cyclical effect. I have never paid a dime on CC interest either. But most americans don't know how to manage their spending, just like our own government!!! Money gets pissed away like no tomorrow! In regards to health care costs. Your right it shouldn't be a government issue, but it is. HSAs and various other plans have been set up for it. Look at Social Security too for instance, I know I certainly am not planning on seeing any money come my way even though I'm going to have to help fund it. In regards to the ports. Its the United States Customs and Coast Guard that have been in control of inspecting cargo so UAE management is not going to change that at all. The Gov't is spending more money to update technology so we can be more thorough in checking cargo. Considering only 5% of cargo gets inspected, something should be done.
  23. The state of our nation's economy is very frightening. As Health care costs continue to rise, benefits are getting cut left and right. We have incurred trade deficit that is through the roof, 2005 saw about 780 billion. 60% of our Gross Domestic Product (which is our total ourput) is related to services. Globalization is slowly taking away our manufacturing base, at the expense of exploiting some other poor nation. Our country keeps spending millions of dollars trying to help Iraq rebuild. Finally, your average American has tacked on north of $9k worth of credit card debt. But keep in mind everyone, our economy is on the upswing! These are tough to sugarcoat. Time to cut spending big time, and try to pay off some outstanding debt! It's well known that government/politicians are one of the most corrupt groups. Its time to get people out of congress, out of the senate, and out of the court system. We need people that are up to date on things and that won't waste weeks debating small petty issues. This nation is in some serious problems, someone has to step up to the plate before it spells disaster.
