  1. We were there all weekend. The sand was AWESOME!!!!! Going down to Gordons for Halloween. I am so glad the season is here.
  2. I know we have different pipes, but I have the 2:1 and the Boyesen Pro Series Carbon Fiber reeds. I run 370 mains, 30 pilots and Toomey needles on the 4th clip position from the top. I do have it jetted for the dunes so it is a tad rich here. If I were you, I would go up to 27.5 on the pilots and try 330 mains and see how it does.
  3. What is your elevation? 300 mains with a 2:1 filter sounds a little lean if you are anywhere below 1500' elevation.
  4. My wife is in the mortgage business. Shoot me a PM is you want to get in contact with her.
  5. Anybody know of a place to get parts chromed? I want to chrome my A-arms and tie rods on my rail that is being built. The place that I knew of closed up shop.
  6. Dude, relax. I have been mixing my gas the same way for 4 years and it works fine. What are you talking about ratios? You pour in enough oil for 5 gallons, I mix mine at 32:1, then I put in 2.5 gallons of race gas and 2.5 gallons of premium.
  7. I stand there and watch the guy put in 2.5 gallons of race and then I pump in the Premium myself. Can't be any more sure than that.
  8. Why would you add your oil after you put the gas in? The force of the gas going into the can helps the mixing process ALOT.
  9. I've heard people talking about burning outerwears and them popping off too. Some people have no trouble. I agree with Led. If you want to see how not to burn a hole in your outerware with the 2:1, do a search for Lincster in the Tips and Tricks forum. You will see a pix that I have done to mine.
  10. With that compression, you should have been running 50/50 race gas at a minimum. Octane boost doesn't do much. What is your jetting and air filter system?
  11. As far as warranty goes..... Just remember.... "If you wanna play, you're gonna pay". If you put in a programmer with a 6" lift and 37" tires, don't go into the dealership asking for a new tranny.
  12. www.1stfordparts.com
  13. How many times have you reused your o rings? I got leaks after 2 reuses and then replaced them with new and I haven't had any problems since. Pro Design recommends 2 uses at the most on a set.
  14. What air filter system are you running?
  15. Oh yeah you notice a big difference. It really helps the bike breath better.
  16. Don't ride in deep water. Everything else is good to go. Hope you jetted up ALOT when you made the change. I went from 310 mains to 370 mains with my 2:1.
  17. Yep, too rich. I run 370 mains but I don't have an airbox. If you aren't going to ride in mud or water, leave the lid off.
  18. From 0-35... no. From 35-70.... hell yes. Have you ever driven a diesel with a turbo. Once you get that turbo wound up... it is gone.
  19. Toomey makes a good product but are a bunch of idiots when it comes to jetting. You are correct, a new head and domes won't require a jetting change. But your 2:1 sure will. I run T5s, 2:1 and Boyesen Reeds. I am jetted at 370 mains, 30 pilots and use Toomey needles on the 4th clip position from the top. I have a cool head with 20cc domes in it. I run 50/50 race/premium gas. My bike runs perfect. My plugs are a tad rich, but rather that than a tad lean. I run at Glamis so about 500' elevation. If I were you, I would start at 350 or 340s and see how it does. Check your plugs, do a WOT test. Increase your pilot size to at least a 27.5.
  20. You just need to order jets. I would order a set of 350s, 340s, 330s etc down to 300s. Start big and work your way down until your plug tells you to stop. What elevation are you riding at?
  21. GET OFF THE BIKE!!!!! I would not ride it again until you get bigger mains. I have T5s, Toomey 2:1, Boyesen Carbon Fiber Reeds and I run 370 mains with 30 pilots. I think you are very lean and you will soon be joining your friends if you don't rejet. And I agree, with 17cc domes, you should be using at least 50/50 race/premium mixture.
  22. Whatever..... You asked for inputs, I gave you some. No one buys a cool head and leaves stock compression. I don't even think you can get 23cc domes with a cool head. A stock head is the same as 23cc domes.
  23. OHHHHHHHH..... Then you are way lean with 280 mains. That is your problem I run T5s and the toomey 2:1 air filter and run 370 mains with 30 pilots and Toomey needles on 4th clip position from the top. I run at Glamis which is about 500' elevation. I would jet up ASAP if I were you. At least to 330s or so and see how it runs.
  24. I don't think cool heads actually help. Someone posted back a couple of years ago, that they had a temp gauge and when they added a cool head, it did not change the temp. I would take that off this list. Billet impeller won't help, it will just last longer and is more durable.
  25. Welcome to the world of Banshees. These bikes like to be ridden fast and get air through the radiator. What air filter system are you running? You could get an aftermarket radiator and that would help. I can follow my kid around on his 90 and my bike doesn't overheat.
