  1. For $23, I would order a whole new assembly. Cheap insurance www.ronnies.com
  2. Doesn't porting increase the amount of airflow?
  3. Lean bikes will run great...... just not for long. Have your guy follow our advice and jet up and see how it runs.
  4. Nothing wrong with my bike, I have been running this way for 3 seasons. It runs awesome. Toomeys are a little different than FMFs, they can handle more fuel. Some bikes like it rich, some don't. My buddy with FMFs and the 2:1 runs 350 mains and his bike runs great. I would rather have it a little rich than lean.
  5. Only $8999 + TTL. It even has a got sand sticker on the front. That alone added $4000 to the value.
  6. We will be there dude, getting there Friday morning about 11am. We stay at the bottom of the hill where the drags are held. FS3000, SLC3905, FS2600 and a Attitude 19' Toyhauler is what we will have in our group.
  7. Are you serious? You are comparing a 4 stroke to a 2 stroke. Of course a 4 stroke will run longer on a tank of gas. All depends on how hard you are running. If you are balls to the wall, you are going to burn it. If you are worried about gas mileage, I have a Polaris Trailboss I am selling.
  8. I don't know dude, there are some guys that post on www.thedieselstop.com that work for F$%d and sit in on some design meetings.
  9. You need bigger than that dude, I am on a stock bore with T5's and the 2:1 and am running 370 mains at Glamis.
  10. I agree evil, that is why I bought an 04. The coils might work, but I wasn't going to chance a first year suspension change. Besides, I have heard that they are coming out with a twin turbo diesel in 06 or 07. I will get a new one then.
  11. http://photos.thedieselstop.com/showphoto....rt=1&thecat=500 Here is my 04
  12. I hope it is a 7.3L if it is an 03?
  13. Radiator is the biggest bang. You double your cooling fluid amount. But they are expensive. I thought it was worth it.
  14. Ahhhhhhhhhhh, another one sees the light. Ford is the only way to go with a crew cab. The new 6.0L runs awesome Now, if you want leafs on the front end, you better get one quick. The 05's are going to coils in the front and I would not want to own a first year design change like that. Look how many problems they had with the first year 6.0L. BTW, can you tell I love my truck!!!!!
  15. I doubt this is the main problem, but with the port job, 19cc domes and it being bored out, you should be running at least 50/50 race gas. Did you check your compression before it burned up?
  16. If you are running stock pipes with only a filter, you are way to rich on the mains. You can't compare to your buddy, he is going to blow his bike up running 300 mains with T6 pipes. I ran 260 mains on my bike with stock pipes and only a filter. I went to 310 mains when I put DG pipes on. Got rid of them and went to T5s with a 2:1 Toomey air filter. I now have 370 mains in there and it runs good.
  17. I have had both. I had a 98 2WD and a 99 4WD. I sold the 99 to my dad and he still has it. 47,000 miles and it runs perfect. Gets 12-13mpg around town consistently from when I bought it. No major problems on anything. You will drop more in mileage with a big lift and tires. One reason I got rid of it and got a diesel. I get 17mpg around town with my F350 PSD.
  18. You have to reinstall your operating system. You will also need the drivers for everything. I.E. graphics, speakers etc. Not hard, takes anywhere from 1-3 hours depending on how much stuff you have.
  19. Clymers says 1.8qts. Exact conversion from 1500cm3 is 1.585032 qts, or 3.170065 pints, or 1.5L, or .3962581 gallons.... I have a cool program that does conversions. I have always done 1.8qts.
  20. Will do evil. Bummer on the truck, I know the wait just kills ya. I hated waiting the 8 weeks for mine. Boy with those goodies, you are going to have a screamer.
  21. I got my kid an Eton 90 and want to put paddles on it before next season. Anyone know the bolt pattern? I want to get haulers so he gets the most bite.
  22. What in the hell are you talking about? There is no air box with the 2:1 air filter. The 2:1 comes with an outerware. I am on my 2nd filter and both came with it. You say your bike is all stock. You will have to go up more than 1 jet size. I would say start at 280 and do a plug check. You will probably have to go up on the pilots to 27.5. You won't notice the big power increase until you get some pipes. I would make that my next purchase.
  23. I'll have to try some simple green, I can't get around my sproket or the bottom of my swingarm clean.
  24. It stays clean by itself. Sand is not like mud, it will wash off no problem when you get back. Use a wax for your chain, not lube, sand will stick to lube. Clean your air filter before and after. Sand get into the motor???? Don't fill your tank if there is a sand storm and keep your filter on. Unless you have other stuff messed up, sand can't get into the motor. I don't do anything out of the ordinary and have been going to the dunes every other week for 3 years.
