  1. Shoot, I spend $300 every weekend I go to the dunes. And that is twice a month. Sometimes 3 trips. Diesel in the truck, gas for the rail and gas for the genny. Oh well, it is what I do.
  2. The smoke is just due to more fuel into the system, no big deal. I love it when a diesel smokes. You have done the cheap stuff. You could put in different injectors. If you want to see mods, go to www.thedieselstop.com.
  3. If you just did the rebuild and you are just having problems, something went wrong with putting the bike back together.
  4. Absolutely humidity will effect your bike. The more humid air is, the denser the air is, so the more air molecules there will be. If a bike is jetted rich, the more humid the air is will make the bike richer. Cool dense air is the best to ride in. Night rides at Glamis in Dec are awesome.
  5. Thanks dude, that makes total sense. And I do agree about the motorcycle helmet example, but my weight and DL endorsement still stands.
  6. You don't have to argue any more, but your thinking doesn't pass the logic test. If I go on a 4 month vacation across country to visit, do you honestly think any law enforcement person is expecting people to know every state law that has to do with weight??? No way.
  7. Then wow, there are probable thousands and thousands of people illegal all the time that bring these big toyhaulers from Az to Cali. So, here is another. Someone that has a Class A registered in Montana by a Law Firm, totally legit, saves license fees. Lives in Az and takes it to the dunes in Cali. He has to abide by Cali laws? No way. A lawyer would not let that fly.
  8. A buggy bumpier than a quad??? Not my rail..... smooooooooooth. My daughter falls asleep in the back seat while we dune.
  9. Putting around will make it overheat, these bikes don't have fans on them. Don't put a beginner on a Banshee in the dunes, it will spell trouble. Ride the bike, don't let it idle.
  10. Nope, doesn't need one in AZ. When you travel to Cali, you are still registered in AZ, so Cali cops can't do anything.
  11. Snowboarding???? It is freggin 110F outside. My advice, stay inside. Too damn hot to go outside.
  12. 130psi on 19cc domes, you need to do a top end rebuild. I have 155psi on 20cc domes. 4th gear starts, no way, rider error. You should be starting in 2nd when dragging. With a piped bike a 20cc domes, no way will the bike lose to a stock bike. sorry dude, but it is the rider.
  13. I just bought a 2006 F350 Crew Cab 4X4 Diesel Dually with the Tow Boss package. The truck is rated to tow a 18,000lb trailer. Should work nicely with my new Warrior that will be done at the end of the month.
  14. I would go up to 27.5 on the pilots, that will help your cold start problem. I run 30 pilots and when it is 45F outside at night, it starts on the 2nd kick with the choke all the way out.
  15. I run 370 mains and I have no air leaks. I run the Toomey 2:1 air filter system. You can go bigger than a 310-320. After you fix your air leaks, don't be afraid to jet big if the bike likes it. Order parts.... www.ronnies.com
  16. It's going to be a little warm during those dates........ last year showed it got up to 95 during the day. Why don't you wait until Halloween. Much more fun to be there on a big weekend.
  17. Yep. I came to the conclusion with 3 quads, 1 lifted golf cart, 1 Corvette powered rail, a diesel truck and a big toyhauler... all I do is burn gas so who cares. It is what I enjoy.
  18. Then sell it and ride a bicycle.
  19. It's called 2 stroke vs. 4 stroke.
  20. Only if I know they have the money to fix it if they break it.
  21. Too lean if you ask me for sea level. I run 370 mains with T5s and a 2:1 air filter. I would jet up if I were you.
  22. Just sold my 2004 FS3000. Have a new LE3905 on order, should be done in Sept. Just in time for dune season. I think Warriors are good trailers.
  23. Only ride in the sand and clean it after every trip.
  24. Your going the wrong way. Starting has to do with pilots, not mains. Easy to start means you have the right pilots and/or air mixture screws adjust right. Are your filters/filter dirty? Do you have fresh gas?
