  1. I'm there dude. Actually, March 11-14 and then to Glamis March 17-20.
  2. Better be careful. Anytime you change your air intake or your exhaust, it is good to rejet appropriately. I'll bet if you checked your plugs after riding hard, they were a little white. Not good.
  3. When you say channel iron, do you mean actual iron? Isn't that heavy? With a single axle, you aren't going to get it rated to tow a whole lot.
  4. If it is really bone stock, then you should be able to beat him. If he has done anything like a cam or something, he will beat you. Unless you have some crazy mods done. My buddy has a 450 with a pipe and cam in it. He can beat me by about 2 bike lengths at the sand drags. We switched bikes and I beat him when he was on my bike. That takes the rider out of the equation. The new 4 strokes are fast bikes, whether we like it or not. I might be getting me one to add to my collection.
  5. Yo Chemical Castration!! I am going to bring my new buggy down this weekend, but want to know about the weather. I hear a big storm is coming, but I hope it will be thru by Saturday. Can you give me updates tonight and through tomorrow? Thanks dude.
  6. Yeah, but most guys don't just race over and over. They think that since their bike is crisp and feels quick, that it is jetted perfect. Then boom, there goes the motor.
  7. I run T5's, 370 mains, Toomey 2:1 air filter, Toomey Needles, 30 pilots and Boyesen Carbon Fiber reeds at sea level at Glamis. My bike runs off the hook. My saying.... "A lean bike will run good, just not for long."
  8. We will be down there for the next 3 weekends. Feb 4-6, 11-13 and 18-21 for Prez day. Not sure on which side we will be on for each weekend.
  9. Jetting is too lean. I run 370 mains and 30 pilots at sea level with 2:1 Toomey air filter system. You should jet up, or you will be doing another rebuild.
  10. Dude, keep everything. I got my shee, my rail, 2 kids bikes and a lifted golf cart. You can never have enough toys.
  11. If you like changing out domes, sure go ahead. Not me, I would run the 17's and run 100% race gas. But running 17's might open a whole new can or worms, like you may need to weld your crank. See my previous post about mixing gas and oil.
  12. Dude, get with the lingo. When I say 50/50, that means 50% race gas, 50% premium. Unless you want a short ride, you always mix oil in the gas for a Banshee.
  13. 19cc domes, at sea level, I would be running race gas, or at least 50/50 mixture. I run 20cc domes at sea level and run 50/50. Better safe than sorry. If you go to 17cc domes, 100% race gas, no mixing.
  14. Negative ghost rider, go to any order form, Kelly Blue Book, whatever, you can't get 4.10 gears in SRW. I ordered my 04 and wanted this option, could not get it. Warranty isn't in jeopardy due to mods? You must have a cool dealer. You said you read over at www.thedieselstop.com, then you must read about the guys that get crap for mods on their trucks, not worth it to me. If you really think that mother Ford can't tell you used a programmer, you are just fooling yourself. All computers write codes when they are upgraded/changed, Ford can tell. Do you have your EGT probe mounted pre turbo?
  15. I won't modify my truck because I like my warranty. Too many horror stories out there about guys that add stuff, just to have the dealer not repair something under warranty because they have changed it. Maybe a CAT back exhaust, but no intake changes. The new intake on the 6.0L are supposed to be just as good as an AFE. Yes, I have gauges. Towing on flat ground at 72mph, my EGTs are 1000-1100F area. Pre turbo of course. I have 3.73 gears, that is all you can get in SRW trucks from the factory since 1999.
  16. Sorry Boon, I have to call shinanagans on the mpg you are stating. I have owned 2 diesels, 02 F250 and 04F350. Pulling my 12k lb toyhauler, I can't get over 10mpg, and that is on flat terrain. Both of my trucks are 100% stock, I know a programmer and exhaust will help a bit, but not 3-4mpg more. Unless you only tow at 55mph, which I doubt. If anyone is interested, go to www.rv.net or www.thedieselstop.com to get more inputs on the mpg of a diesel. I hand calculate my fuel mileage and always fill the tank to where I see diesel in the neck, no foam.
  17. 3 flags per rider? You guys must crash alot. Just kiddin. Man that is more stuff then I keep in my 36' long toy hauler.
  18. Bigger radiator is never a waste. At the dunes this weekend, my buddy was following me. He stopped and had coolant spitting out. I didn't have anything coming out. I have more HP than him also so my motor should run hotter. I love my Toomey radiator.
  19. Been going good dude. Glad to hear the weather is so nice, thanks for the updates. I am building a 5 seater rail, will be done in about 3 weeks. I will have to let you know when I am down and I will give you a ride in it. Thanks again.
  20. How is the weather today and tonight? Glad to see you are still out there Lefty. Are you going to the dunes this weekend.
  21. Sweet. I will be checking back with you tomorrow and see how the weather looks. Weather.com says it should be very nice. Should have good sand for New Years with the wind and rain that just came through there. Can't wait!!!!!!
  22. Do you live in Yuma? I am looking for someone that is actually there. Weather reports aren't always 100%.
  23. Sycamore creek is outside Mesa, no where near Yuma. If that is the area you are asking about. We have been getting a ton of rain here, so it will be flooded.
  24. Lefty, If you are still out there, can you update me on the weather? Heading down to Gordons Well on Friday for the weekend. Thanks dude. Linc
  25. Even more reason to run 1/2 race and 1/2 premium.
