  1. Dry? Now that's just silly. Gorillas like lube.
  2. Or somebody from the California school system.
  3. I've got those too. Yellow springs.
  4. My bad Kool, I actually made that comparison. I am not here to argue, I actually have one of Dan's motors. It was kind of taken out of contex anyway.
  5. Brockfuzzy, Planetsand has with out a doubt the smartest and the fastest guys around. I still consider BansheeHQ the site I hang out at most of the time, but Planetsand is the one I learn the most from. Shit like our 80hp dyno slips are a good girlfriends quad over there. It's a shame, but this site will neveragain be what it once was. Just the attitude of some here that think they are the "end all, be all" of Banshees have driven away those that really are. I would love for Calvin to comment in this thread, but I don't think he ever visits this site. Some may not believe what Kool or Dan have to say, but they really don't have clue what they are talking about anyway.

    rear sprocket hub

I've got two of them. $25 each
  7. Just change out the clusters, keep the forks and drum. Most people I know of that swap the complete motor in come away less than satisfied. I ran a ported RZ top end on a Banshee bottom end and that seemed to work great. This year I have gone with a +4 crank, Passions 12 port, Banshee gear cluxters with RZ forks and drum. It should be the best of all worlds, I'll give a ride report.

    Wanted

    I've got one. $20 shipped
  9. Is there a story above that girl with the banana? I can't get my eyes to move up that far.
  10. Considering the quad is in Louisiana, and under is name it says Washington, that won't always work.
  11. I've got a set that look to be at 64.50. they will need a bore.
  12. These are the kinds of things I stay away from Bluetraxx for. No shit. It has turned into, Who's girfriend is too thick, who's is too skiny, My boyfriends bike is faster than your's, my brothers this, my friends cubs is faster than............ Can we all agree that calling something "GAY" is best left in fourth period sophmore year. The problem with that last statement is most of the people that use words like that are looking forward to fourth period sophmore year.
  13. This may not have been your intention, but all the argueing and bashing on this site could inevitably lead somewhere. The trouble with thsi site lately is noone is entitled to their own opinion. It has come down to I have this and that and this is the only way to do it. This is where Planet Sand shines above the HQ. They still have there fair share of bickering, but it "almost" always leads somewhere in the end. I guess this site just needs a little more time to grow up, but hopefully in the end it will become what it always should have been.
  14. I'm not even going to click on the link. It seems a little too disturbing to me, and it's been more fun just reading eveyones responses.
  15. Good to hear, the Batman films have always been kind of dissapointing to me. Not as bad as the Hulk, but still not what they could be. They will never raise Batman to the heights that Superman hit, but Superman was just made at the right time to make them hits like they were.
  16. Uh oh. Opinions are always appreciated and in this case since it's a new product being dicussed all opinions count. When you have a build up like that you need to deliver at least enough of your "secrets" to keep us interested. You know when you are just enticing people and when you are giving away an actual secret. This thread been about 25% informative, which is better than most. I think alot can be dicussed here with out giving away anything that could potentially take money away from you or your business. Hell, if you know something that nobody else has figured out yet, you could possibly get some business from this thread alone.
  17. Ruin the shit out of that thing, what's this holding back stuff. If it blows, you have an excuse to build it faster and stronger. If that thing is running and jetted right, it will hold up.
  18. That really depends on the port work.
  19. I guess we are looking at the same thing from different angles. You are like "why", were I am "why not". Not all of us can afford a Viper, a modified WRX hanging with a Viper to me is cooler than the Viper itself. Not all of us can afford 450. Close to $8000 will build a hell of a Banshee when you can pick them up used for $1500. Now throw a "detuned" top end on for $1300 and you have a $2800 monster than is going to have the guy on the 450 scratching his head wondering why his dealer told him that he needs to spend $8000 on a new quad beacuse a $1500 Banshee is an Obsolete dinosaur. I guess I just like to be different and go against the grain, conforming to me is the same as selling out. A +4 12port RZ to me was worth the time and expense to build becasue it was like nothing elseI have seen on this site. And yes, I do understand how a two stroke works, but only to a limited point. That's why when a builder that has forgotten more about motors than I will ever know says he can do it, I will go along with it until something or someone proves otherwise. When we tell people at work that two single phase transformers are going to give them three phase power, the ones that argue are the ones that will never understand the answer in the first place.
  20. the only thing I have to brag about, was a few F7 kills with my dinosaur, MXZ800X. The damn thing is just much faster than it should be. I will be interested this year to tear it apart and see if the ports have had any work done to it. I guess the F7 is the target of most other sled owners, that's soemething to be proud of right there.
  21. I agree that a 450 will be hard to beat on a trial with a Banshee. Does that mean just because a Subaru WRX will never hang with a Viper on the rode, you should never try to make the WRX faster? I understand what you are saying, but why question somebody that is trying something, not you. What benefit does ths have to you if it fails, you will only make yourself look like a fool if it succeeds. Not all Banshee's live in the dunes, not all banshees have at least 200 degrees of exhust dur., not all Banshees are pod filtered, big carbed and top end piped. Some of us actually ride these things in places that would have you shaking your head. All I have to say is, if you think decking a set of Cub cylinders is strange, you don't even want to see what's parked in my frame.
  22. All I'm saying as far as big vs. small builders is who does the work. When you send them to Trinity, do you think Harry ports them; the odds are not too good. But send them to Patriot and Dan does the porting, send them to Passion and I'll put money on the fact Jim does the porting, I can go on. I guess I just have issues with the employee base at Trinity. Rocketpig, who I think is named Brock, has even admitted to there being issues at Trinity. Back to the cylinders. I don't get how something that's theoretical to you (decking Cubs) has already been deemed in you mind, ludicrous. I guess just the idea of reducing port timing to you, is counterproductive. Maybe it is, but if they say it can be done, I will have to go along with them until they or someone else proves it to not work. I don't know what you want to call it, but they have set precedence here as knowing more than the commoner about porting and what will and will not work.
  23. All I know is that when I send my jugs to Patriot, Dan receives them, Dan ports them, Dan sends them back, Dan answers the phone when I call and Dan returns my emails, NOONE ELSE. As far as a useless port, I have seen it from Trinity. As far as decking the cylinders, I have not seen that in my hands. I actually have two sets of jugs sitting next to me, one by Patriot, one by another "reputable" builder also. The reputable builder even refered to Dans port and head work as nice work. One someone else in the same field compliments your work, it's something to be proud of.
