Jethro summed most of it up. RZ cylinders have Powervalves that smooth out the powerband and make alot more low end. The port arrangement is alot better stock than the Banshees, so they will make more and better power without porting. I have heard that regular Banshee cylinders are better for drag racing like Jethro said because they can work with the exhaust port alot more. Makes an engine that is just easier to ride. Great MX motor. It does take quite a few more electronic components and some pain in the ass wiring, but all in all it's a pretty easy swap. broke

Haspin Acres Thanksgiving Weekend Friday-sunday
broke replied to teamriot's topic in Riding and Events Forum
Where is Haspin Acres? I'm from Channahon(SW of Joliet). Just curious how long it would take to get there. Thanks broke -
http://www.planetsand.com/ubbthreads/showf...rt=1#Post111587 http://www.planetsand.com/ubbthreads/showf...sb=5&o=&fpart=1 Here is two good discussions on Planetsand about cylinders. Calvin who makes the Cheetah cylinders and Lou who builds the Twister cylinders chimed in a few times. Alot of the other guys involved in the conversation are builders and racers, but mostly sand junkies. Not to promote other sites, but there are some very knowledgable people on there as well as here. Might want to do some shopping around before you settle on Trinity for your motor. broke

Steering Stabalizer With Paul Turner Pipes
broke replied to SouthernBanshee's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Yes, I run the same combo. I just set it up a little differently because as you know, those pipes don't leave much room for anything else. You actually run it to the motor mount on the opposite side than the instructions say to. I will get some pictures this afternoon. But I can answer any questions you might have as far as mounting it. broke -
This was posted on Planetsand by Biggjim. Just thought I would share, INEXPERIENCED CHILI TASTER Notes from an inexperienced chili taster named Frank, who was visiting Texas from Boston: "Recently I was honored to be selected as a judge at a chili cook-off. The original person called in sick at the last moment, and I happened to be standing there at the judge's table asking directions to the beer wagon when the call came. I was assured by the other two judges (Native Texans) that the chili wouldn't be all that spicy, and besides, they told me I could have free beer during the tasting, so I accepted. Here are the scorecards from the event:" Chili # 1: Mike's Maniac Mobster Monster Chili JUDGE ONE: A little too heavy on tomato. Amusing kick. JUDGE TWO: Nice, smooth tomato flavor. Very mild. FRANK: Holy shit, what the hell is this stuff? You could remove dried paint from your driveway. Took me two beers to put the flames out. I hope that's the worst one. These Texans are crazy. Chili # 2: Arthur's Afterburner Chili JUDGE ONE: Smoky, with a hint of pork. Slight jalapeno tang. JUDGE TWO: Exciting BBQ flavor, needs more peppers to be taken seriously. FRANK: Keep this out of reach of children! I'm not sure what I am supposed to taste besides pain. I had to wave off two people who wanted to give me the Heimlich maneuver. They had to rush in more beer when they saw the look on my face. Chili # 3: Fred's Famous Burn Down the Barn Chili JUDGE ONE: Excellent firehouse chili! Great kick. Needs more beans. JUDGE TWO: A bean less chili, a bit salty, good use of red peppers. FRANK: Call the EPA, I've located a uranium spill. My nose feels like I have been snorting Drano. Everyone knows the routine by now, get me more beer before I ignite. Barmaid pounded me on the back; now my backbone is in the front part of my chest. I'm getting shit-faced from all the beer. Chili # 4: Bubba's Black Magic JUDGE ONE: Black bean chili with almost no spice. Disappointing. JUDGE TWO: Hint of lime in the black beans. Good side dish for fish or other mild foods, not much of a chili. FRANK: I felt something scraping across my tongue, but was unable to taste it, is it possible to burnout taste buds? Sally, the barmaid, was standing behind me with fresh refills; that 300 lb. bitch is starting to look HOT, just like this nuclear-waste I'm eating. Is chili an aphrodisiac? Chili # 5: Linda's Legal Lip Remover JUDGE ONE: Meaty, strong chili. Cayenne peppers freshly ground, adding considerable kick. Very impressive. JUDGE TWO: Chili using shredded beef; could use more tomato. Must admit the cayenne peppers make a strong statement. FRANK: My ears are ringing, sweat is pouring off my forehead, and I can no longer focus my eyes. I farted, and four people behind me needed paramedics. The contestant seemed offended when I told her that her chili had given me brain damage. Sally saved my tongue from bleeding by pouring beer directly on it from a pitcher. I wonder if I'm burning my lips off? It really pisses me off that the other judges asked me to stop screaming. Screw those rednecks! Chili # 6: Vera's Very Vegetarian Variety JUDGE ONE: Thin yet bold vegetarian variety chili. Good balance of spice and peppers. JUDGE TWO: The best yet. Aggressive use of peppers, onions, and garlic. Superb. FRANK: My intestines are now a straight pipe filled with gaseous, sulfuric inferno flames. I pooped myself when I farted, and I'm worried it will eat through the chair. No one seems inclined to stand behind me except that slut Sally; she must be kinkier than I thought. Can't feel my lips anymore. I need to wipe my butt with a snow cone! Chili # 7: Susan's Screaming Sensation Chili JUDGE ONE: A mediocre chili with too much reliance on canned peppers. JUDGE TWO: Ho Hum tastes as if the chef literally threw in a can of chili peppers at the last moment. I should note that I am worried about Judge Number 3. He appears to be in a bit of distress as he is cursing uncontrollably. FRANK: You could put a grenade in my mouth, pull the pin, and I wouldn't feel a damn thing. I've lost the sight in one eye, and the world sounds like it is made of rushing water. My shirt is covered with chili, which slid unnoticed out of my mouth. My pants are full of lava-like poop to match my damn shirt. At least during the autopsy they'll know what killed me. I've decided to stop breathing, it's too painful

The strokers may make better power down low, can't confirm or deny that. If you are looking for a good MX motor, try one of the powervalve top-ends. I went with the RZ as the "cheap" way out. If anyone wants to know the most expensive way to make 60ish HP, I'm your man. I have no complaints with the motor at all, makes great power down and let's you lug higher gears for less tire spin and shifting. Does anyone know how RZ's do with a little more stroke? And can previously ported(MX) cylinders be built to work with a +4? Always looking for "better" power. Thanks broke

What level shock are they? They look like the "race" but might be "limited mass", just curious. Thanks broke

muhhahahaha return of the quadracer!!!!
broke replied to QuAd_RaCeR's topic in General Banshee Discussion
Stupid and Asshole were classics, you almost looked forward to their posts. broke -
I can't say what the new quad is going to be like as a whole. But there is a 250R with a well built YZ 426 motor that will stay right on the heals of my ported RZ motor on the straights on the MX track. I honestly don't think he even shifts that damn thing, it makes power everywhere. So I'm guessing that the new Yamaha shouldn't be much different. If anyone knows how to convince my wife that I really want to buy it for "HER", please let me know. broke

I say port it. Porting is one of the single biggest performance mods you will ever do. Patriot racing ported mine. I have not seen nicer porting, check this thread out. http://forums.bansheehq.com/viewtopic.php?t=6703 Dan at Patriot is a great guy to deal with. Everyone on here seems to have the same opinion of him and his work (even Quick/Jer/Stroked and he doesn't like anyone). Good Luck broke

I say go for the Elka's. I had to wait 6 weeks for my Peps and thought that was nuts. That four month wait is out of hand. broke -
what pipe is best for MX dmc's 916 or dynoport 2 into 1?
broke replied to da_rider26's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
I would say it would depend on the track. If the track was a little more wide open with good traction, I would take the DMC's. For a tighter track with a looser base, I would take the DynoPort. I personally use PTR Midranges and couldn't be happier. Our local track is pretty tight with 30+ turns in 1.5 miles so a pipe with good low and mid is ideal, but when we go up to Redbud, there are straight aways where you really want something that will wind out. The PTR's are probably the best compromise, they don't do anything great, but they do everything good. broke
