  1. Oliver Well you got the typical /responce answers from some of the rgulars when you asked a porting question. Some bullshit half cocked answer. I do not come on here often but everytime I do there is usally someone has posted a porting question like yourself to get an ugly answer and to made an ass out of. This site seems to breed users that think porting is "wizardrey & secret" and that the only time you can get good advice is less you a builder and have an INC after your name and are a pro builder. Someone above gave you a link to Macdizzy, great guy & site and has ten times the ammount of usable information and people capable of giving a good solid answer. This site is free of do -it -yourself educated members and do little about educating themselvs and others as far as motor wise. For you guys that give a good /solid reasonable answer with the best of your knowledge please not be offended Jeff
  2. Need a set of banshee cylinders in good condition, boring /honing needed is alright... No , last bore cylinders wanted !!
  3. Stang There were the exact questions asked about toluene under other names on four other related ATV sites, the same day and with questions specific to this I figured there were some connection...I appoligize for my "rudness" if you are not the assume.
  4. I have seen you posted this question on many of the diff ATV forums and each of told you their opinion, I am not sure exactly what your looking for....but being a long time drag-racer, Kart racer and a technical enginel/rules official in a few diff racing sancationing bodies I can just only assume.... Toluene & xylene are already found in fuels at high quanities their a major part of fuel, however it will raise the octane but if you do your homework octaine is not going to give you an increase in performance that your obviously after. If you are destined to "pour" something into your fuel toluene/xylene would be good canidates , not only they do nothing to help your performance they do nothing to harm yourself and surroundng.they are water soluable and are found in many things such as your sweethearts nail polish and your carb cleaner in the garage My only guess is that you are searching for something but you just are not informed educated enough just to know what your looking for. One of those instances where you know "just enough" to be dangerous. And this is the "only" reason I am posting a reply to your search for a" fuel cheater" Soon or later you will find it and if you do you might not get the warning/education so here it is. 1,4 Dioxane and propylene oxide is the power adders and the oxyigenaters that your on the search /destroy mission for. As propylene will asorb a great ammount of heat and bring oxygen with it you will see aincrease in low end power and the oposite and the high end due to the chill factor, great quanities are needed to show an increase.Basically there are no real gain but instant and short..trust me ... most techs will use "sniffer" to detect this cheat Dioxane is the "posin" your looking for it is a true oxygenator and although it brings increased temps at the low end it dramatically help in the higher rpms . However dioxane is a "DANGEROUS" carsegentic and what makes it so dangerous and "illegal" is that is asorbed through the skin as well as inhallation. This is dangerous for everybody the person close to it use and the competitors as well. Dioxane is as dangerous after the cumbustion process as before. Most good tech's can catch this cheat with a water test and a "snoe flake" test.. personally if I caught anybody using it I would call the " fEDERAL AUTHORITIES" it is not that hard to get a hold of and there is a certain ammount in everyday fuel we use.
  5. Decided to port my Banshee motor, ported many diff 2 cycles motors , cr-honda, blasters,250R and many various Kart motors over the years. But never a Banshee motor. Was wondering if there was anybody on here doing their own port/head work that would share some of their experiances. Just wondering if the degree numbers changed much in a banshee motor than anyother typical build.I was looking for a trail/mid range power. I was wondering if exhst at 85/185-187 and transfers 117/128-30 with a blowdone of 30 degrees would be good numbers? I haven't put the degree wheel on to record the stock numbers yet but was curious to some mid range build numbers would be from a few others opinions. Just curious what the options were to using the stock chambers and squish band and milling the head rather than going to an aftermarket head right away for economical reasons Would appriciate any help and some bench/port talk from others who do their own work Thanks
  6. Looking for a good reasonable set of banshee cylinders. No last bore cylinders wanted. cylinders needing bore/hone ok.
  7. Looking for a set of Banshee cylinders in goon reasonable condition. Prefer to be in stock to middle bore size, no last bore cylinders wanted. Cylinders needing a bore/hone will be ok. Thanks
  8. Why did god give women legs??? ...So their feet don't smell like fish too.
  9. DCBLACk I don't think that is really a big deal that you used "caps" in your post. I know you didn't mean to intentionaly offend anyone, and it is a commom courtesy in the states not to use caps. For someone just to post and complain about your "caps " and then offer no answer & help or guidance to your question I feel was intentional rude and direspectful, you were no doubt less wrong than that person. I sometimes come on here to see if there is any usable information, this site is limited to members that are over-acheivers in motor knowledge and performance. Its very limited to do it your-self type of members and it does noe surprize me that any knowledge is not shared with you. This site is an avid supporter of the "builder" not the do it yourself crowd. Pay your $10.00 for two years and go to www.macdizzy.com. That is where the motor guru's and god's hang out and their speacialty is to reveiw and share two cycle performance knowledge and engine building. They hold back no secrets and are the website inventors of the "do it yourself" mods derived around quads. Most odten those who are not willing to share knowedge with you are generally insecure about their own understanding of their knowedge and are simply reluctant to share in fear that they may be judged wrong or corrected
  10. "welders over $100.00 hour" !!!! I really find that hard to beleive. I have been a IBEW Union Electricion for 25 plus years and even at a government prevailing wage job I have never been over $50.00/hr straight 40 hours. Been around "many" union welders/fitters never heard of any ever that doubled the electrical wage benifiets. I would be hard pressed to find any tradesmen that made that kind of money outside the midwest/upper state that are typical the "union" states.
  11. Push the throttle Vito's unfortunatley is not the most popular kit with the "blaster" guys. Although they have a complete "240 kit" it'seem to be moderatly designed and porting/head improvements need to be made to get the full potential of the kit. By the time you buy the kit for $600.00 and then have somebody/them make the improvements your just as well have somebody 240 sleave/port your cylinder or look for other 240 kits available.IMO the Vito's kit is a down and dirty/cheap alternative to the" 240 " fad but lis produced to provide the CC's without the timley /cost of conventional porting.I don't think as other it is the best for the buck but it is well advertised and available. CT-Sonic 240 kit is probably one of the most sought out/performance kit optional to someone not using their local builder and wants a bolton/complete kit. This kit/company uses a "250r" design cylinder/port/intake design transplanted to the blaster. Its is well known and proved and gets great rave. It produces 41rwh and they should have the claim to "250R" stomping horsepower. I don't have either kit but have had the chance to look at both products. I mean no harm to the Vito's product/people and they have marketed/targeted a certain part of the market and I think the person thats looking for price availabilty it works.. and for the person looking for max performance, price the local builder or CT-Sonic is a better option. There are a few other 240 kits also. Jeff
  12. Thanks for the reply, shoot me a pm with a price and details , thanks much
  13. Looking for a good used 34pj carb.
  14. Interesting- My son has raced shifter "karts" sence he was a young boy and once a year (wiconsin) we iced raced for a charity event.Over the years we used our slicks with ice picks and variable snowmobile pics with some sucsess but the best set-up we ever had was something we came up with our-selfs and there was a nite and day difference between it and the pics. We used number 35 chain ( farm supply) and every other link incerted a 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 fluted masonary nail , linked the chain together and put it around the tire and bolted it to the tire in various places using the open link with head on the inside and locknut on the outsid. Lined the tire with a rubber matting and used a tube and blew up the tire till the chain was rock hard on the tire. We would use multiple wraps on the rear tires. It was an amazing traction advantage There was no flex compared to the ice picks rolling over and ripping out. food for thought Jeff
