  1. That was the route I wanted to take. But several builders talked me out of it for my applications. For one a 10mm is pretty much the same price to build. I was told that a 7mm wouldn't be that much more impressive than a well built 4mm for the extra expense that the 7 would run. The bigger stroke motors seem to really shine up hills. You can make a great MX motor, contact a few builders, tell them what you want and they can give you some ideas of expense and what you can get for the money.
  2. As you can see there are lots of ways to give a Banshee bottom end. Each does have it's trade off however. T-Rexs and Cheetahs is price. RZs are the wiring. Single carbs are "known" to not pull that well on top. PTR mids DO NOT rev high at all. 2:1 pipes don't rev for shit. High compression needs more expensive fuels. It all comes down to what you really want and need and the amount of time and money you want to put into it.
  3. Mine is a Passion 12 port +4 RZ motor. Add some powervalves and you'll see power off idle you never knew it could have.
  4. It's not quite as bad as that list makes it out to be. The wiring takes some time, it's a complex harness. My new motor is a 12 port +4 RZ built to run on 110 so this thing really does pull hard out of the whole and screams on top. PM for details. I don't want to start an pissing matches.
  5. You need the complete RZ electronics. CDI PV controller PV servo Harness Regulator Battery or some sort of eliminator Jugs Head Flanges And you are limited to Rockets or one form of the PTRs.
  6. Stan, that's insulting to 8 year olds.
  7. I had a stock stroke Patriot MX RZ motor that ran great. I have since moved to a +4 RZ motor and they both have great power. The RZ jugs just come on ALOT sooner than stock jugs ever will. For my type of riding PV jugs will be all I ever ride.
  8. Cheetahs are with out a doubt the new budget top end kings. But for 75% of the riders out there, they are probably not the best choice. They will be fast, There's no way to even argue that. Like Loco said, for what you are looking for a basic low/mid port job would be your best choice. For the best woods motor you can build cheaply, I will say again that a set of RZ jugs can't be beat. Add a little more stroke to it and it pulls hard everywhere.
  9. I might be heading up there that day as well.
  10. I have the hubs, but no wheels.
  11. T-6s won't work with out some serious pounding. PTR highs and mids work fine. The mids sign off a little too early for a stock port and extremely too early once you've had some cutting done. Rockets will clear the powervalve but good luck getting some. Shearers look like they might clear, but I have not tried them personally. Sorry I don't have any better advice, but you options are a little limited with those jugs. Good luck
  12. I think some people are too quick to give bad feedback, here and on Ebay. Sometimes deals just don't go as planned. It how the individuals take care of everything to fix it that matters to me. Ask Kickass1974, our deal didn't go anywhere near as planned, but we both did what needed to be done to take care of it with out this kind of childish shit happening. New guys should have some kind of filter attached to their accounts.
  13. I've had good luck with the Holeshot HDs, but have found with the PV motor that the quad doesn't spin anywhere near like it did with the stock jugs. So take this for what it's worth.
  14. I've got a CDI
  15. Did you guys start a thread to argue with each other. All of you damn posts are in this thread only. Carry on

  17. I'm going to assume a post or two got edited? Happy Birthday anyway.
  18. The Scott's is arguably the best out there(for rich people). When you are looking at a PEP/Denton for $125, just remember the Scott's is not 4 times as nice. The Scott's does have an advantage as far as never interfering with the pipe, but that just isn't $375 worth of an issue to me. I have tried them both and bang for the buck is still one of the piston types. If you have an extra $375 to part with, I envy you. Good luck.
  19. Somebody really needs to take control of this company that doesn't have a 100 other things going on. The trouble with compulsive overachievers is that thier downfall is usually taking on too much and getting overwelmed. As much as I would like to try it and could possibly come up with the financial backing, I too have more going on than I can handle. Somebody buy this damnit.
  20. He called me yesterday. It didn't sound like him, he actually just sounds worn down. Things with his wife don't seem to be improving at all. He made it sound like he gets away from the hospital just long enough to get the bare minimum done at home. Keep your head up Charlie.
  21. I've got a 96 that looks to just be tweaked up by the grab bar. 95% of the frame looks to be perfect. I will try to get some pics in the morning. I know you like to trade and I am definately up for it, let me get you the pics and we can go from there.
  22. Sounds like the usual event through them. It could actually be a pretty good event, but they never seem like they want to put much money into it. The owner is for lack of a better word, a prick. So I would rather burn my money and not ride at all than ride there. Sounds like you had a good time, that's good to hear. Don't listen to me, the owner and I have had our differences.
  23. You have stroker domes, do ya? You might have to go into a little detail. Does Dave advertise those? Did you go with a stroker crank? I may be misundestanding something or I'm just an idiot.
  24. I agree with John. Priority is the only way it's getting coast to coast in three days. I have had packages take two weeks to get to Oregon.
