  1. before you attempt this you need to sitb ack and see what kind of fabrication skills you have. do you have a welder? can you weld? do you have a torch and or plasma cutter and can you use them? you will have to have these things in order to make this swap. you also need to have a pretty good understanding of how important it is to make sure the sprockets line up. if they are off youll throw chains all the time. then youll have to be able to build a pipe. its not a real easy job to do that. you will also have to have somethng made for the kick starter because if you sit the engine in there the correct way, the stock kicker wont work. there is quite a bit more than you probably realize going into this swap. id make sure you are up for the task before you start. youll def need to have a lot of patience as well...
  2. 4900 feet above sea level?? is that right? if you wanna be really safe try a 165 main and a 48 pilot and see how it runs. im assuming since you are so high in elevation you have less air and will need less fuel. those specs above are rich even for what we run at 1000 feet above sea level so you should be more than ok. try and see what happens.
  3. generally a motor will rev up like that when starving for gas. do you have to choke when you start it? after its been idling for a while when you rev it up does it sound sluggish and blow some smoke out or does it rev out clean? i wish i knew more aout those carbs but from the revving up and down i would guess either an air leak which would cause you to lean out, or your pilot is too lean...let it idle for a little bit and then oull your plugs out. see if they are really wet or kinda dry...
