You may spend more in a custom chassis than you would just buying a lonestar. www.kandkatv.com will hook you up..

It ain't gonna add HP, but it may let the clutches work a little smoother and provide less slippage. Gates makes several different qualities of belts.

Oh. LMAO You need a person to do it!!! In that case, where you located....

For small annd odd jobs I use a Lincoln SP-175 Plus. Actually, it is usually my welder of choice. it handles almost any job I do unless I'm welding 1/2" in a single pass. You just simply need more power for that heavier shit. Now, I am guessing, that you are fairly inexperienced with welding. Therefore, a Mig welder like the one above is an EXCELLENT choice for a do everything machine. The best welds, looking and otherwise can be had from Tig welding, but a fair amount of experience and patience is needed and crucial to a strong and good looking weld. if i was building a chassis, I myself would mostl ikely Tig weld it. However, a Mig welder will do just the same, although you may have to grind your welds down a little bit to make them pretty, I would NOT recommend going the cheap route and getting a flux core welder. it will not make the kind of weld that you would be proud of. it is possible, but very tough. And the gasless welders (flux cored wire) are usually 110 volt, and do not have a good duty cycle. I own one. I do use it, but in this situation, the gas sheilded one would be the right choice...

I have heard it too Jim!! I was just playin'!!! After seein' the reply about watching out how you word things, I couldn't resist changin' it around a little.......

You can have the head trued up, I can do that. I grind heads. Anyways. I still don't think that's your problem.

A Simple Queation Im Sure We All Wondered...
boonman replied to Dragg-on's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Not so. Actually, if the jugs were on backwards, the exhaust would come out the same side as the carbs. Which, may be something to try. How about a Crankenstein?????? Carbs in the front, exhaust straight out the rear. Kind of like Jethro's mullet. Business in the front, and pleasure in the rear? Reminds me of that anal post in Roostin' room. Maybe jethro can get "in" on that? Anyways, it would seem thoughtful that a straight exhaust would be better and more efficient. This would be a question for Sainty. Except, he doesn't post here anymore unfortunately. Case induction rocks!!!! Rotax rotary valved, case inducted banshee tranny mounted fire breathing nitro powered monster!!!!!!!!! -
I have a boost botle and 3/8" reed spacers for cheap!!!

Man, with a title such as you posted, I thought of something utterly gross and disgusting and not fit for here!! But, you proved me wrong. Sorry to hear about the misfortune with your ball and rod, but it is good that you got them out without too much trouble...

being that you have no powerband in the upper gears, I am thinking that your red, blue and yellow powerbands are shot. It is a known problem on the shee, and they can be replaced fairly simply. I don't know the part numbers off hand, but they can be had at the stealership. Or, Vito's has them too.

How Are Is It To Replace A Balljoint?
boonman replied to 89 bansheedude's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Now, once you get the spindle off, you have to remove the A-arm from the frame. If it is the lower arm, nevermind, either arm you will have to remove the lower shock bolt, so go ahead and do that. Now, remove whichever arm it is that has the bad ball joint, and put a new a-arm on it. because that's the only way to replace a ball joint. is with a new Arm..... -
I guess that explains alot...........

Oh boy......... Man, the things people say around here.........

What Should I Chage For Xc Racing
boonman replied to NAXbansheeman11's topic in General Banshee Discussion
The XC races around here, a wider bike would NOT suffice. Narrowed if anything.... And like mentioned, ride it like it is. SOunds like a damn fine rig as it is... -
Are you positive that it is being torqued down right? Are you sure it is the head gasket? When a head gasket leaks, it usually leaves a visible trail either on the gasket or on the cylinder or head. You should be able to see where the compressed mixture has blown by. Now, are you sure there is residue??? if the head gasket leaks, it will usually munch coolant and if it is bad enough, it will blow the coolant lines off. At least that's what mine did. Are you sure it's not just the usual black shit in the coolant that we all get with stock radiators? if you are not loosing coolant and what not, I don't think it would be leaking. What kind of torque wrench do you use? How old is it? Do you take care of it? Is it in spec? A torque wrench should be treated the best out of any tool you own. it needs to be pampered. Because if it is F'ed up, it will F you up. Anyways, basicall, is it leaking, or just black shit floating around in the coolant? ANd BTW, I use cometic gaskets.

Why not just buy a lonestar chassis instead of re-designing? I don't get it. I could see gusseting and things of that nature, but re-designing? Your pissing in the wind with a factory banshee frame.....
-
You are one lucky SOB!!!!

I got a cover from atvseatcovers.com, and I had no problems. other had severe problems. My guess is that he went out of business. If you want to match the yellow on the frame, don't try it. it will almost never happen. it is one of the hardest colors to match up..... There are other places to find seat covers, I would look on Ebay, and see what peps have there...

At high RPM, shutting off the fuel supply, while keeping the air supply open can be DETRIMENTAL to your engine. This would be the eqivalent of a massive air leak. If the motor is hot enough, it may stay running just long enough for damage to occur. (Like melted piston(s) and/or siezure).
