  1. Shave the head and lighten the flywheel. You will get more power in the low end, and throughout the midrange from the head mod, and you will gain a ton of throttle response with the lightened flywheel. Cheap and easy mods. Best bang for the buck you can get.....
  2. BFH, and a block of wood. Or, a hydraulic press would do the trick. That's what I use..
  3. Do NOT post the same question in multiple forums.
  4. Was the keyway in the crank screwed up? It sounds as though it is out of time. Too much advance, or retared to much? Did you tighten the flywheel to proper spec?
  5. You had me LMAO there yet again Stan!!! Anyways, my wife wears contacts, and it gets me sick when she takes them out. I don't usually wear eye protection while working. I am a stupid fook. I have gotten shit in my eyes more times than not, however, I still don't wear eye condoms.... I do however have a friend that is a mechanic, and he got some rust in his eye, and they had to slice and dice to get it out. Now he has a cat eye cornea. () Kind of looks like that there. Really freaky. I hope I never have to have glasses. I did when I was young, for reading, but I never wore them. I will be with ya someday Stan on the fat, bald, blind machinist thing..... You won't be the only one.....
  6. I am sorry that you are going Alpine. I wish you luck. Especially that you are running the mids and tweets off the deck itself. Although, I am runing a system just the same, however I have a pioneer deck... It will most likely sound good though...
  7. I would. Just so i could hit that shit on the floor. Really pound it home......
  8. I'm confused????
  9. 2 vehicles I own are not road legal. However, they both have plates and a valid New York State inspection. Imagine that??? We have to have our vehicles inspected yearly by a registered inspection. My Dodge is so far out of legality it is a rolling ticket. Who cares though. you gotta have fun sometme. I just pray every time I drive that noone F's up and I don't run anyone over...
  10. Department of Natural Resources. And why were you doing 85 in a 45? Just curious. And this: is what is killing me. 5 grand in mods and you can just beat a 450? WOW!!!! Duuuuuuuude, I got a Boost bottle at home, I'll sell ya it for $500 and you should be able to beat them 450's even more!!!! If you spent 5 grand in mods and that's all you goot, I would be pissed. You must love getting raped then, because you obviously did....
  11. That's why you don't run low profile tires on shitty roads. Either that, or slow your ass down and avoid the holes. I laugh when I see some rig with the blingin' 17's and 18's that the kid spent all his BK money on and the sides are all ripped up, beat to hell because people didn't learn how to drive. And the 20's on an SUV. Are you kidding me? Low profile tires on a big clumsy Expedition? Yep, boy oh boy, lemme ttell ya, you can rail corners in that beast. A real road course racing machine.......
  12. Just the harsh sound they put out. Don't get me wrong, they are clear sounding, but it's just not soft enough. Harsh is the only word that comes to mind to explain them. And they cost an outrageous amount of $$$ for what you get. I know they win comps alot, but alot of people use them too. They give the microphone the sound it wants to hear. but my ears tell me a different story. I have been in ALOT of vehicles. I can tell you from personal experience that a car that RTA's excellent, most likely sounds like dogshit to me. I have been to quite a few IASCA shows, and I just haven't heard an MB equipped vehicle that I enjoyed listening too. Alright, maybe one or two, but they are extreme exceptions. Just not a fan of them...
  13. That thing is tight!!!!!
  14. I hear ya!! I am gonna be selling a few things. Maybe even my swingarm. I ain't sure about that yet... I am gonna be building a monster, so we'll see what goes....
  15. I made my own setup. I prefer to do it that way myself. I have never seen what you are talking about. but, shoot me a link and I'll check it out...
  16. You need to clean the carbs out thoroughly. That is the first thing. Please don't use starting fluid on a 2 stroke. It doesn't lube the motor and it washes the oil away from where it needs to be. You aren't geting fuel to the motor, so go to where the fuel delivery is. Also, what is the compression on this bike? Sounds like it was pretty raddy when you got it back. Clean the carbs. Clean the carbs. Clean the carbs. Clean the carbs. Clean the carbs. Clean the carbs. Clean the carbs. Clean the carbs. Clean the carbs. Clean the carbs. Clean the carbs. Clean the carbs. Clean the carbs. Clean the carbs. Clean the carbs. Clean the carbs. Clean the carbs. Clean the carbs. Clean the carbs. Clean the carbs.
  17. Squish is the distance from the piston to the dome at TDC. It can be measured with a piece of solder that you would stick inside the cylinder and sin the motor over. Pull the solder out, and measure how thick it is after it just got smushed into the head by the piston. It is the most accurate way of checking it....
  18. Please don't post the same question in multiple forums. I am locking this one. Here is a link to the one that will remain open. http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=19126
  19. I love smoking pretty much anything around here with the little S-10. It's sooooo unsuspecting. A rust bucket with almost 400 horseys kickin under the hood. Quiet exhaust, and it flat out hauls ass!!!
  20. If you like smooth sound, a silk tweet is the only way. I still can't stand MB speakers. No way in hell......
  21. A modded shift star may help you. Shees are a PITA for finding neutral in the first place. I modded my star, and it is easier to find now. And I don't get as many missed shifts either... If you would like to get your shift star modded, PM me and I'll hook ya up....
  22. TORS=Throttle OverRide System. It is designed to cut the motor off in the event of a stuck throttle. Stock banshee carbs are notorious for sticking, and it is a debateable theory as to why they do what they do. Mine stick in the cold wet weather... And do funny things to boot!!!!
  23. I have witnessed aviation fuel make a motor run hotter. I don't and will not run it in anything I own. Unless I get a plane. But I highly doubt that..
  24. I use VP fuel jugs. Pour clan and fast, no spillage. And to figure out the ratio, someone had it right. 1 gallon of fuel is equal to 128 ounces. So, just figure it out from there. For whatever amount you want to mix. 40:1 mix is 40 parts fuel, to 1 part oil. so, algebraicly (sp?) it would look something like this: 128/x=40/1 128=40x x=3.2 so, 3.2 ounces of oil per gallon of fuel would be a 40:1 mix. I run Klotz Super Techniplate oil at 40:1 in my bike. I also run VP C-12 fuel. But, soon will be switching to another form of fuel.....
