Alright if im.gathering what I could understand from it all, thr bike runs good sometimes and sometimes not. Cuts off randomly and whatnot. Step one run a compression test. Secondly test your ignition system, and third go for a leakdown test (my bet to where ur issue is at) and see if you have an air leak. If you do idc how much u tune and jet it. She will never run correctlym good luck

Did you install your slides correctly? Im not too sure if they would throw this symptom at u but its just a thought. Secondly perhaps the carbs are sync'd at idle but cables are not pulling equally, did you try to sync it through out different throttle positions or at idle only?

If you heat it with a propane torche before applying the acid I have found this to help getting off the tough stuff. The acid trick works good in some cases! X2 on watching the fumes too, it is some really bad stuff u dont want it in ur lungs

x2 no better way to do a 4 mil, you HAVE to get port timing corrected of there will be no power benefit at all for spending that money - hell you may even LOSE some. You might as well have it fully ported instead of just "correcting" the timing. Your choice of the port work will give you a choice of the power you want to make anyhow. Stock carbs can support you up to about 70hp - hope this helps

Check your reeds. If all is well, move onto a leakdown test to look for an air leak.

No, ignition timing has nothing to do with compression and therefor the required octane of your fuel will not be affected by the timing plate.

way more info. step one - check plugs, try crossing coil wires and or switching plugs and see if the problem switches cylinders. Secondly, compression test. Third, teardown for leakdown test - before leakdown inspect your reeds. Give us your findings when you can.
