  6. Id like to know where to buy the componenets to block off the intakes and exhaust ports. I already have a vacuum/pressure gauge tool here at work with a spark plug adapter, Im just unsure what to use for the other ports. If someone here can offer a set I would be happy to buy, otherwise advice what and where to buy would be nice.

  9. I noticed LOTS of guys on this site buying, selling, and trading alky carbs. Whats the benefit of running alky over gas for a trail/play bike?

  14. That makes even more sense lol answers all the questions I had. I have no need for them but once upon a time considered it. Glad I didnt
  15. Goootchya. That makes a lot of sense. If this is all simply explained like that then why do folks still do the swap? Seems like a huge waste lol
  16. Ive heard lots of badthings about the yfz front shock swap on a shee. Why would swapping the yfz a arms, shocks, and tie rods be a bad thing? Im just curious. I already have +2 banshee a arms and have my eye out for shocks.
  17. Lol I know. Those are pics from work. Local small engine repair shop. Lawn and garden repair is how I make my living
  18. Update : painted the hood yesterday gloss black. Wasnt too sure about painting plastic but it turned out great! Ivw never worked with sanding or buffing paint so this was a first and im pretty proud. The hood ia flexible so I flexed it every way I could wirhout snapping it and got no cracks or peels so im pretty happy with it.
  19. I got two newer style CDI's. Clean and in working order. PM me a reasonable offer.
  20. Overall cost of paint and materials so far isnt bad. Its just under $200. I already had the spray gun. I will be doing the a arms and other little odds and ends here shortly. Got alot tonight to get into primer - hubs, tie rods, brake shields, etc.
  21. Yeah I did. I've got 3 coats on it and Im thinking I may spray a 4th. Durability will be something I will be happy to test in time.
  22. Thanks, I've heard of that but to be quite honest I'm not sure which ones I would have needed to cut off lol
  23. Im proud of the way this has turned out for my first time spraying acrylic urethane. 2 coats flat black epoxy primer, 2 coats paint, 3 coats clear. We'll see how durable it is when we take her out! It may not be powder coat but at least I will be able to pressure wash this setup unlike most rattle can jobs.
