  1. Driveline clutch FTMFW !!
  2. Check that the filter on petcock is good. Might not hurt to clean inside of tank. Also check fuel cap vent.
  3. Apologys , if nothing else it may keep others from making that mistake. So many threads of similar symptoms caused by Ricky stators. My theory is they don't have enough juice to burn the fuel at high RPMs
  4. Everything is covered EXCEPT not a good idea to make that large of a jump on jetting unless a person is well experienced in jetting.
  5. Start with basiç maintenance. Clean filter, carbs one at a time, new plugs. Write down what the jet numbers are and needle position for future reference. Ohm plug caps separately, trim 1/4" from wire, install with bit of dielectric grease. Check pick-up gap .018" make sure nubs are free of rust. What do current plugs look like?
  6. 4mil dune port, fresh bore. Maybe different pipes, bigger carbs
  7. Throttle body has a limiter screw, mostly to prevent cable stretch. With a longer screw you could do a part throttle chop/read.
  8. Depends on where/how you ride , and budget.
  9. Plus go big or stay on the fucking porch !!
  10. Reason for me asking questions about this set-up is I have an engine that is jacked beyond belief. New cyl/crank is looking like the best way to go. Plus Driveline is in my hometown, FTMFW !!
  11. So is this a "cleanup" , timing changed any? "Style" ? This going to get dynoed ?
  12. FUCK ALLAH and Mohammed while you're at it.
  13. Before you do check pick-up gap, .018" set to lowest nub. If highest one is off more than a hair, LIGHTLY sand it down for equal gap.
  14. Odds are real good that reeds are NOT the ONLY mod (modification) knowing what you have is needed in order to get you close on jetting. Really sounds like you should get a Clymers Repair Manual or find the down load manual.
  15. Clean the rust off the timing nubs on outside of flywheel and set pickup gap @ .018" Check at both nubs, set so max gap is 18, sand higher nub to match if major difference.
  16. Both plugs fire each time either piston reaches TDC. Have you ohmed the plug boots and coil separately?
  17. If you intend to do much work on it get a Clymers Repair Manual. Might consider draining the coolant and pulling the head to inspect the cylinder. Odds are they're rusted up.
  18. Craftsman is the " cheapest" one recommended. Harbor freight is cheep, always reads 60 lbs from everyone that has posted about them.
  19. So that wear was missed on FIRST inspection?
  20. Well, I got fucked then, paid $35 shipped from NYUK. Though it did get here before my son even sent payment, lol. BTW, just joking NYUK ! Hey, I resemble that fact. Lots of good peeps in Mi. We got Rattle Can Ray!! This fucker must be Ray's Bastard son. Must have as fast as he was firing off posts until he crashed.
  21. Pretty much everything is step by step in the manual. If you don't have part in picture, buy that, go to next assembly step. So easy even this caveman can do it.
  22. At least it doesn't "Just needs carb cleaned"2nd gear is fixable, da fugg, bent frame?
  23. Float bowls on wrong carbs? Choke crossover tube on?
  24. When you cleaned the carbs did you remove all the jets or did you give it a quick douche spray and call it good? Did you replace old fuel? Lots of filter adapters, pro Flo , etc. Try a Google search.
