  1. That's how it draws fuel up for choke. Is leak from vent tube , one each side of carb? Or bowl drain at bottom of float bowl. If bowl drain , pull tube , tighten drain screw.
  2. I would start at 320 for your weather / elev. work down from there. 27.5 pilot , middle clip. Son's 'shee had 250 w/ K&N filter , rest stock.
  3. Might also try using piece of wood/dowel to get at upward angle and tap. Try some PB Blaster or simular. Don't get to aggresive with the hammer. If there is an area overhanging cyls that is good place to tap upwards. Just keep working at it. Removing stud should be last resort , break one or strip hole you have more work. JMHO , your results may vary.
  4. Pick-up coil gap? Make sure plugs are completely dry before trying again.
  5. A : drain plug is for trans not crankcase. B : aluminum is not attracted to magnets. C : Have to split cases to install crank seals.
  6. More info needed. New seals on new crank? Did the pistons melt down or did they shatter. Were new pistons in fresh bore? Leak down test? Was head on blow up side in good condition? What did the plugs look like? Lean oil mix would most likely smear piston on cyl. Also list other mods ,carbs , jetting.

  8. Well if they're not any worse than stock what can it hurt? Let us know how much height and travel you loose. Nothing wrong with thinking out of the box a little.
  9. Don't think I'd chance a small piece not flushing out and blowing a bearing later. $20 for crank seals or $35 for all seals. Also could just get a stock head cheap. JMHO , your results may vary.

  11. Without looking at wire diag I'd say it was either tors or parking brake system.
  12. Was there a large temperature change? Elevation? Fuel out of different jug ,maybe old or different some how? Air cleaners get dirty? Just a few thoughts. JMHO , your results may vary.
  13. Why the hell would you need a 7mm plate on a 4mm stroker ??? Are you on crack or do you just need a good nap ??? Even Stevie Wonder can see bad info !!!
  14. First , Welcome to BHQ !! A good manual will help you a lot. Pics will help with what all will need to be replaced. You need to look at it very closely. Damage can add up very quickly, especially the cylinder head, it may be one of the most solid pieces of metal on the bike and it's cracked? Why did your father stop working on it ??? Might find it to be better to part out what you have and buy a different one. JMHO , your results may vary.
  15. I've always been of the bigger is better on tires, with SOME exceptions. They will roll over obsticals and thru holes easier. Almost all tires are a comprimise. BTW , what brand tires do you have on the front of your 'shee in the pic? I'd like some of those on the front of the Warrior Dog ( or is that dog warrior , lol).
  16. Cool shit right there , lol !! Went to site . BTW, what's the cost on this? Not that I can do anything right now. Kind of look as it being the difference between cast and forged piston. Might not be best anology , but you get the idea.
  17. Was this first time starting after carb work? Did you leave fuel on? Maybe floats to high ?
  18. See if you can find a tube of it to get like 1-800 no. , they might be able to tell you what might disolve it. Only things I can think of are (sp) acetone, xylol , xylene, all nasty shit with acetone being least nasty . Might try little heat , enough to soften it up to get razor blade in there. JMHO , your results may vary.

  20. Unless the 03 is really nice with lots of extras it's not worth 1500. Fixxer-uppers ALWAYS cost more than you first think. Been there , done that . You also have no way of testing anything else on it. JMHO , your results may vary.
  21. Maybe nipple isn't threaded on standard NGK plug? To early and too lazy to go look ,I'll leave that up to you. Are + & - wires on coil correctly?
  22. Make sure you drain old gas out of tank , clean carbs one at a time. "about 2 years lol "
  23. Stock 'shee shocks are 14 3/4 , so you should be good to go.
  24. Clean and lube complete system from inside throttle to slides, including tors box if on. Miight need new cable.
  25. good up to .100 over bore
