  1. Well you usually can't put your hand on a car radiator. I would do a comp test to see what you might need for fuel. What other mods and what's your jetting?
  2. If you were closer you could pay me $80+ per hour to clean the terminals with a dremel or sandpaper , clean the grounds ,etc. , etc. If you hate effing with wires , you either drive a 69 chevy our your sunk Either in the Clymers or on the site is a wireing diagram. Get a can of electrical contac cleaner and di-electric grease from auto parts store.
  3. Or maybe washers between hanger and frame to space it out some.
  4. Do you mean disengauge? What kind of oil are you using? Might be getting thick with the cold weather.
  5. If you take it to the stealership get ready to bend over and take it like a man. Don't give up so easy , they aren't any smarter then you are and you have dozens of people here to help you . On my son's shee I had to pull the flywheel , clean the poles on the stator (rust) , inside of flywheel, lugs on outside of flywheel , gap pick-up. Obviously coil, wires , and caps aren't the problem. Check all conecters both male/female for corrosion ,add dab of di-electric grease. check or bypass switches. Is tors box and parking brake box dis abled? Last thing to try would be another cdi if you can borrow one. Stock stator?
  6. Is it getting colder where you are? Might try adjusting air screw.
  7. Glad to hear you won Let your friend know that there are simular forums for raptors. Just keep an eye on your jetting.
  8. Pull plugs , put them back into boots , lay them on top of head , kick it over . It should be "electric" blue not some lame ass yellowish color.
  9. Could either try the 310 or try pulling "choke" out part way to see if it gets better. It's only going to get colder from here on out , better safe than sorry. JMHO, your results may vary.
  10. Might depend on how those ported jugs flow and your riding style/area. You will give up some throttle response.
  11. I like that repair !! Hope my grey matter can keep track of that one !! What was the short threaded slug for ASSWHORE ?
  12. It's not really a "choke" , it's an enrichening circut. A choke would be a seperate butterfly that when closed would cause more fuel to be drawn up thru carb to enrichen A/F ratio.
  13. Don't remember offhand. I bought a tap and proper drill at hardware store. Plus it was (gasp) SAE not metric zerk. Seems it was either like 10-28 or 1/4 - 28. I'll se if I can find it tomorrow. If your using a pound in zerk go to hardware and use their drill gauge and find size that it barely fits and get next size smaller .
  14. http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=105318 Exactly what you are describing. Thought of doing this myself except my son's is a J-arm. Had thought about using a Yfz 450 joint for the upper but never came up with a plan for lower , still thinking
  15. Dont do like I did , didnt have shock on when I decide to put it in the center. Off set it to either side so it's easier to get at. I also goobed up the bolt with anti-seize so it wont rust to the sleeve.
  16. Thought the same thing when I saw it yesturday. Really shouldn't free rev it like that even warmed up. JMHO, your results may vary!!
  17. I thought the cracking was a myth. As I was putting boots on I took a good look at them and sure enough it was cracking. Not all the way thru but rest of boot was fine. I pluged them off for now. Pesonally I have never seen anyother multi cyl two stroke with a crossover so I dont think it's even necessary. Bigger boots don't have it , proof enough.
  18. http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=136557&view=&hl=bills&fromsearch=1 Thought it would show as a link. I'm definatly a expert (savy) on search but I came up with 200 results. Two titles I saw refer to them as good low end pipe. I see , shows as linc after I post. I'm sofa king we todd did.
  19. http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=135591 How to do it .
  20. Start with the easy things/free. Swap plug wires , if problem switches it's elec. If not try cleaning carbs. X-2 on LD/ comp test.
  21. Try with cleaning carbs one at a time , reinstall choke tube.
  22. That's what she said !!
  23. Try them and let us know how they do.
  24. Before you make the jump ,look on your local C.L. to see how many simular are available and for how much. I don't really see much demand for that type of vehical. JMHO, your results may (and will) vary.
  25. Actually they do. On the blaster forum the cheap mod is a shee axle, 2" wider. Conversely the blaster axle is 2" narrower.
