  1. Do one at a time, they're both different. don't forget choke crossover tube.
  2. Pilot jet is next to main, 3/16 hole bout 1/4 deep, small straight slot screw driver needed. Only stupid question is one that is not asked. Usually, ? like this get answered better in a post. Best thing to do is get a repair manual. What's the temp where you are? What is your mix ratio. is the smoke equal or more out of right?
  3. Thack, you must not have looked very hard!! I've read most all threads covering front ends. trying to decide which way to go. Seeing I have a J-arm that I just re-painted and knowing that the YFZ front end is a love/hate thing that might be a willing to admit failure thing, I'm just getting new Js. Soon as Stellar has the site back up so I can see what he has cause seems no one else makes them now. Still undecided on shocks as far as length, stock or extended. I'm all for making and modifying, I'd make my own Js if I had a bender, I've got a welder, have had 3 different jobs as a welder so that's not an issue. But at the end of the day the YFZ swap doesn't sound all that great. JMHO, your results and opinion may (and will) vary.
  4. I knew it was more than one gear. Glad you had the numbers 1sick Lots of info on the internet, unfortunately some of it is WRONG!!
  5. It is possible to get them backwards, but it would be both ,not one. If you put them in the wrong carb , they will be backwards.
  6. http://flint.craigslist.org/rvs/2176726942.html
  7. Presuming your going to drag race? Chrome moly sub-frame, alum pegs, shifter, brake pedal. spindle mount fronts, alum brake/sprocket hubs, chro-mo stem/bars, etc. , etc. or try this : http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=139400 Also look in the drag forum for ideas.
  8. The 87 won't have tabs for heel guards. Other than that everything will work. Can I ask why the switch??
  9. Dang, nine hours start to owning And Troy, you ought to feel bad for stealing
  10. I read you have new cable ,try lubing it. Also make sure you don't have a kink or bad routeing ,esoecially after putting body or tank, seat back on. JMO.
  11. http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=137560 Mod the stock , it's free!!
  12. Look around local CL and distant cities to get a feel for prices. If you start negotiations for it start low ,let him make a counter offer. Be patient ,6-8 months ago a nice 87 with few mods was 2700 right now it's listed for 1600 here in Detroit. Good luck !!
  13. Damn, 4 posts and you're already tired? Where else can you double the stock power for less than a grand and triple for two? Be sure you post back in a year or two when you rebuild it and let us know how much it costs. Was on Web Cams site yesturday and ONE cam is $500-700 depending on grind. Good luck with your search and new ride.!!
  14. Hell, I thought the recent attack of Spam bots blew the site up. Glad to see it's back up!!
  15. Maybe check with carb parts warehouse, they should be able to steer you in the right dirrection.
  16. He's had that listed for quite a while.
  17. Unless he was in the mountains I doubt you could run 19 domes on pump gas. Do a comp test ,that will give best indication on fuel needs.
  18. If you are average , it's murder. If you think you're special, it's assasination.?

  19. Yeah, need 10 gal tank for alky trail
  20. Welcome to BHQ !! Smaller domes and race fuel would be easy/economical at this point , or alky. Maybe different pipes? After that you would need to jump your displacement.
  21. http://www.blasterforum.com/engine-13/cylinder-porting-diy-25773/ Good DIY for clean-up porting. For real increase you need to know what you are doing. 1/2* or 1/2mm off and you will have some purdie paper weights. Plus you need to read Gorden Jennings and H. Gramn Bell's books to understand what you are doing. By the time you get those books read and (maybe) understood, a site sponser could have your jugs back to you and be done correctly. JMHO, your results may (and will) vary.
  22. I would rejet before you ride any more. Try 300-310 with 27.5 pilot. Especially with the colder weather.
  23. 1/2* or 1/2mm and you have instant paper weights.
  24. Just imagine the scrap value of that POS !!
  25. Is the spark a nice bright blue? Not lazy azz yellow? New plugs? New gas? How's pick-up coil gap? What's timing at? are plugs wet from kicking?
