  1. your banshee leans to the side
  2. Does anyone on here ream spindles for the oversized balljoints? Or know a company that does?
  3. Go buy like a 20 dollar compression tester at autozone or advance or something. When you kick it over to test psi hold the throttle at WOT,just keep kicking until the psi goes as hi as you can get it,i usualy kick mine over like 20-25 times. If your cylinders are under 100 psi or the difference between the 2 is more than 10 psi your top end is smoked. Another quick way to see if one jug is toast, start the bike and rev it and hold your hand in front of each silencer outlet,if one side puts out way more pressure then one side is toasted Dont just go rebuilding before you check it out thoroughly.
  4. we got 22 inches of snow in 2 days recently, and its snowing right now.
  5. Around my elevation it would need 27.5 pilot and 260-290 mains
  6. If you wanna spend some money,i would get some porting done,if you want to spend a little get your head milled
  7. Have you taken your metal plates and set them on a flat surface to see if they are warped?
  8. Banshees will always be more temperamental than newer 4 strokes, the chassis design is 23 years old and the engine design is even older. If you dont like to fiddle with it,give it up they arent for everyone, but definitely for me.
  9. Only real advantage to a single carb is easier tuning and cleans up clutter on the quads motor,Both my banshee have single carbs and i swear by them, but a lot of people disagree
  10. a lot of times i dont even use intake gaskets when they are needed,i just use silicone
  11. I have been riding my plus 2 j arms with stock shocks for a long time, doesnt bother me
  12. Wow throw that thing away. Brand new ones can be had under 300,and i bought i used one on this site for 100
  13. No idea man,are your chain adjusters there?
  14. I would say somewhere between 15 and 70hp
  15. Im running a single carb and it smokes out of one side more when cold
  16. Funny you mentioned this i was wandering why they have a whole section of the website dedicated to jetting
  17. If it cleans up after its warm i wouldnt worry about it. My clutch side pipe always smokes more when its cold and i first start it Ride it around hard for a while, then pull your plugs,as long as they are pretty close in comparison your prolly fine, now if ones bright and ones black you prolly have a problem
  18. x2
  19. 21cc domes for pump gas. If your running a keihin carb i would say about a 155-165 main and a 42ish pilot jet
  20. x2 its just not worth it unless you go all the way. Once you get it there though they are great bikes. Make sure you do a cut dome setup and not a spacer plate setup. there more than motor here too, with a proper 4mil if you have a stock swinger you will have a wheelie machine. 4mils can be brutaly fast though. We have a "safe" drag ported 4mil,with cpi inframes,+2 swinger,35mm pwk'sect, ect, and i swear to g on pavement in 4th gear at about 50mph you can seriously flip it backwards at will without pulling up. Its a fun ride
  21. All i can recommend on this top is dont do a 4mil unless you do it all the way
  22. When my 87 was bone stock besides old shitty crap filled bills pipes,i raced a 2 week old stock raptor 700 on a hardpacked 800ft dragstrip about 7 or 8 times. I beat him every single time, off the line,in the middle and at the end,his front tires were always just behind my rears at the end. We switched lanes cause he bitched about traction,ect..ect.. So i would have to say if i would have had my stock pipes on he would have probably beaten me.
  23. haha 20mm?
  24. well the last 47 times this question was asked i answered "depends on the rider",so i guess i will answer the same this time
