  1. Duncans banshees won that 12 or 24 hour whatever it is race in france like a 100 years in a row
  2. Are you using the little copper washers?
  3. I have a run a lot of dinged up heads on stockish motors. ITs probably not optimal, just make sure none of the little dings have sharp edges.
  4. I have no idea, used ones are cheap though
  5. Banshee captain thats a deal on those parts. Although i have seen some bad stuff from trinity they have some quality stuff. I have owned 2 different trintiy 2:1 carb kits, and two trinity stage 4 heads with zero problems. I have also personaly seen a zilla cylinder that was supposedly stage 4 ported, but they didnt change any port timings, just cleaned everthing up where it looked good. I was standing next to the guy who was measuring the ports to fix them. The thing is even with stock porting a set of jugs a crank and pistons if its runnable is well worth 300 bucks in my opinion. 2 pistons and bore job alone will almost cost you that much. TRinity porting might not be the best but i seriously doubt its dangerous to run them.
  6. Try a longer bolt. If that fails i would tap it.
  7. Well you dont really use the blaster piston for the stroke, its for the longer rod. The rod connects higher on a blaster piston than a banshee,so its shorter than a stock banshee piston when you get it connected. This compensates for the longer rod.
  8. 115 as long as its even on both sides is fine for now,its a little lower but i would run it. i usualy dont rebuild for compression reason till it gets down near 100 ow when the cylinders are more than 10 psi off from eachother
  9. Well i either have to run wiseco 795's or blaster pistons im at 66mm. A set of 66mm 795's is like 200 bucks. i can get two stock blaster pistons for 105. I have to either have headwork done or buy a coolhead because i dont want to run a spacer plate stroker.
  10. Is one side just smoking more,or is it when you put yor hand in front of the silencers one actualy blows harder. Did it run fine before you changed plugs and cleaned the filter? Could be a lot of things
  11. its hard to tell man, where are you at on jetting right now
  12. Damn your going to need a second job to put gas in that thing,im guessing around 8-10 mpg
  13. Trying to avoid buying a coolhead and save some money, but looks like its going to head that way now
  14. I need to find someone who can cut the stock head to run blaster pistons, and to cut it to run a 4mil stroker. Im going to run a 4mil crank with blaster pistons obviously. I have never really asked around about this.
  15. How long did it take to get your cyl's back?
  16. besides paying more for gas i dont see any
  17. only way to tell is to take them to a machinist and have them measure, but if there are any marks you can feel with your fingers in the cylinders i would say its bore time.Sounds like you are on std bore,so your not in bad shape Even if they look ok they could be ovaled out
  18. Check your carb cable routing, yes it can be just that simple
  19. are power pros any good?
  20. they do look a little like dg but i thought dg's were stamped
  21. Just picked up an 03 banshee with these pipes on it,there are no labels on them anywhere.
  22. i never really pay attention to the year of a banshee when im buying. i have seen 05's and 06's that are garbage and 87's that were showroom. 25-2800 is a good price for that one,but they can be had for cheaper. One of my close friends nearby has a really nice 98 with a big bore kit and fmf's for 1600. And my super clean and modded 87 sold for 1500
  23. honda trx250r carbs/lt250r carbs, maybe carbs off of 125cc bikes. A lot of dirtbikes come with 36 and 38mm's so those are a little big unless you got some pretty big mods
  24. What do you mean lowering the ports isnt the reason for porting, its definitely part of it.
