  1. I got the cylinders off today and the front skirts were cracked on both pistons,The cylinders look ok no scarring or anything but i am sending them out to kevin at herr juggs racing sometime this week for rebuild and port job. He said theres a 10 day turn around which i dont find too bad. all ill hvae to do in the mean time is get new intake boots and x over tube .............Thank you guys again and again for all your help. i will keep you guys updated :
  2. thank you to you all for your input and advice. I am going to get the head off as soon as i have time and will see how bad the damage really is. If i do send it out what shops would you guys recommend that do a good job but dont charge to0o much? I also just picked up an 02 Blaster today for the wife and it has good compression 120psi. had bad gas in it (was almost orange)but drained and refilled. Air filter was horribly dirty :cleaned it: only other concern was smoke from the header and excessive oil on the header at the engine. Any ideas? the gyt gave me a written 2 week warranty so if need be i take it back for a refund. But i was def. stoked about the 120psi compression. and wtf is wrong with people, why do they buy these bikes and not take care of/ maintain them. i mean really
  3. I live approx 119 miles South of Denver in Pueblo Colorado.

And what if it needs bored, honed ...then ill have to take it to a shop anyway correct? I just want it fixed fast and painlessly as possible as i just spent 2300 on it and i cant do sh@# with it. thank for you input. Much appreciated.
  5. wow! thanks for that link voodoo. thats alot of very useful info.
  6. just got a 2000 banshee, did a compression test today.......80psi on both cyclinders so i know i need a rebuild....but i'm not sure ill have the time to do it myself. How much does it typically cost to have a shop do it?
